Occasional Digest - a story for you

Arsenal 0-0 Olympiakos

1. Arteta surprised many with a rotated side tonight.

No starts for either Eze or Saka.

The Spaniard must feel they have more than enough to see off the Greek side in the capital.

Not exactly Monte Carlo or bust for Manchester City but they travel to the Principality looking to end of a run of four straight away defeats in this competition.

And who could have predicted that when they lifted the trophy just over two years ago.?

Monaco’s home form is not bad either – so don’t rule it out.

This fixture will evoke memories of a Champions League classic from eight and a half years ago when the French side squeezed through on away goals in a last 16 tie that ended 6-6 on aggregate.

Only John Stones and Bernardo Silva survive from that day – and of course the Portuguese was playing against City that night.
