Australian Formula 1 driver Oscar Piastri has said he was pleased with qualifying sixth for Monday’s Miami Grand Prix.

Piastri will start the race alongside his McLaren teammate Lando Norris who qualified fifth, while fellow Aussie Daniel Ricciardo will start from the back of the grid.

Max Verstappen’s bid for three-straight Miami Grand Prix wins will begin on pole after the Dutchman was fastest in qualifying on Sunday morning AEST, hours after winning the sprint race

Piastri, who finished sixth in the sprint race, was consistently in the top 10 during qualifying.
