Fans joked the green jacket made Littler look old before his time

It was a vintage display from the 17-year-old, who was unseeded going into the event.

Afterwards, he was presented with a trophy which he held aloft.

But, rather bizarrely, it was a green jacket that draped on him that was the strangest prize.

The colourless jacket was similar to one worn by The Beatles in their heyday.

However, fans online thought it had made Littler appear older than his years.

And they took to X to share their feelings.

One fan wrote: “I’m not sure Luke Littler looks too thrilled with his prize for winning the Austrian Open – this jacket.”

A second fan shared: “Luke Litter ages 20 years in that green jacket.”

A third wrote: “Luke Littler is that good he’s even won more green jackets than Rory McIlroy.”

Winning the Austrian Darts Open is Littler’s second European Tour win.

And afterwards the Manchester United fan, 17, revealed he is being driven on by a special Red Devils-related prize.

Littler said: “My manager said if I do well this and do well in a few weeks then I can have another Euro Tour off and go and see United.

“I’m doing well to go and watch United in the (FA Cup) final.”
