Occasional Digest - a story for you

Last night, Premier Jacinta Allan said “a number of homes may have been lost to fire” in the state’s west.

Crews are aiming to get in to assess damage today after the township of Pomonal nestled next to the Grampians National Park was hit by a bushfire.

The premier highlighted two relief centres:

  • The Alexandra Oval Community Centre in Ararat
  • Grampians Community Health in Stawell

It’s expected to take weeks for some of the 285,000 homes and businesses disconnected from power to get back online.
