Two men have died at a remote beach in Western Australia’s Midwest region, and a third has been taken to hospital, after a car was driven off a cliff.

WA Police say the incident took place 10 kilometres north of Horrocks Beach about 3:45am on Sunday morning.

A spokesperson says the vehicle was driven over a cliff on private property and dropped 20 to 30 metres.

Two men in their 20s were found dead at the scene.

A St John Ambulance spokesperson said a call was received at 3:50am.

They said a man in his 20s was taken by road to Geraldton Hospital and arrived about 8am.

A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokesperson said a call was received at 3:58am indicating a car had been driven off a cliff. The RAC rescue helicopter was deployed.

Emergency personnel and volunteers travelled to the scene from Geraldton, Kalbarri and Northampton.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
