A HAIRDRESSER has revealed their biggest pet peeve for clients coming in for a chop.

Stephanie Plastow revealed it irks her when customers come in with greasy, matted hair for their appointment.

On her @iconicfckinhair TikTok account, she wrote: “Opinion: Leaving your hair oily, wet from sweat and matted for your hair appointment is so disrespectful to your stylist.

“The salon has every right to cancel the appointment and charge a cancellation fee.”

She added that often clients will come in and say they haven’t washed their hair and tell her “I thought I’d save that for you”, before laughing.

Stephanie continued: “It isn’t funny though when their hair colour doesn’t lift as cleanly as it could of… or the extensions slip.

“Wash your hair before coming to your appointment, honestly its like going to your dentist without brushing your teeth.

“Or add on a wash and blowdry.”

Her clip has racked up hundreds of likes, with one person saying: “OMG, I didn’t know this! 

“Even if the wash is part of the service? I’ve never gone in w disgusting hair, but I only shampoo 2x/week!”

Another added: “I was told to not wash my hair.”

A third commented: “My hairstylist always TELLS ME to NOT wash my hair 2 days before the appointment.”

Stephanie responded: “Yeah that’s great it would be nice and clean! This was 10 weeks of oil!”
