She said that simple trick worked nine out of ten times for her two-year-old, and encouraged parents to try it with their own children.

In a recent clip posted to her page, she spoke to her followers about managing the demands of young children.
The video opened with Cassie seated in her car, speaking directly to the camera.
She said: “I want you to start doing this one thing if you feel like your little kid is always whining or demanding things from you – and it’s not using the phrase ‘use your words please.'”
The parenting coach is focused on helping her viewers “actually enjoy the toddler and little years.”
She continued: “When we use the phrase, ‘use your words please,’ or ‘stop using your whining voice,’ what we’re actually trying to do is to teach our kids to take a breath.
“We want them to calm down, and to speak in a way that we can understand so we can help.
“When your toddler is whining and demanding, their brain is in fight or flight. They’re not thinking logically.
“We need to teach them how to calm down so they can access their communication and their words.”
Cassie used an example from her own life to illustrate the technique she uses.
She said: “When my second child runs over whining for chocolate milk and crying hysterically, I don’t say anything. I put my hand on my chest and I model a huge, deep breath.”
The mom demonstrated this move on camera, closing her eyes and breathing deeply.
Cassie said: “It took a week of me modeling this calming emotional regulation until he started doing it with me.
“After he took that deep breath, I would repeat back to him whatever he had asked for in a calm voice.
“He would then start to use that language himself.
The mom of three continued: “My son is now two-and-a-half, and nine times out of ten when he comes over and starts to demand something, he catches himself.
“He takes a deep breath because he’s practiced that regulation, and then he’ll ask for it in a calm voice.”
Cassie ended the video by encouraging parents to try this trick, and promised that “it’s going to be magical.”
The influencer’s audience loved the idea, with many saying they were going to try the technique.
One person wrote: “Ooooh I can’t wait to try this!”
Another commenter said: “I did this with my 4th graders today.”
