Krispy Kreme told The Sun that “Brits begged the brand to bring the new flavour to the UK after seeing the delicious nutty treat go viral in Australia last month.”
Not only has Krispy Kreme brought the flavour from Australia to the UK, it teamed up with a British company to produce the yummy taste.
The Pistachio Overload doughnut officially made it into stores on Monday (May 12), but was available at Krispy Kremes in Manchester a day earlier.
That was due to the fact Krispy Kreme had teamed up with the Mancunian brand, Blackmilk, to create the iconic dessert.
Blackmilk’s beloved Pistachio Cream spread is being used in the baking of the new doughnut flavour.
The green delight is topped with the Blackmilk cream, a white chocolate drizzle and candied pistachio nibs, while Krispy Kreme’s trademarked pistachio cream fills the doughnut.
Krispy Kreme confirmed to The Sun that Pistachio Overload will be available for £3.49 in all UK and Ireland stores until May 25.
It will land in Tesco UK branches on May 19 until May 25.
The UK shop that top star says should be on ‘UK Heritage List’ – as it’s better than the Eiffel Tower
Krispy Kreme announced the doughnut’s arrival on social media and said it hoped the news would make up for the April Fools’ joke it had played on its followers.
On April 1, the brand posted a “message” from its managing director saying that after 87 years, it would be discontinuing its famous glazed doughnut.
The joke letter said the decision had been made in order to create space for the reintroduced, raspberry glazed doughnut.
The jam-filled treat was first discontinued in November 2024, causing a stir among sweet-toothed customers.
M&S has issued a major cyber attack update revealing that customers information has been stolen.
The retail chain is still scrambling to keep stores running as the fallout continues.
1
In a statement posted on Instagram, M&S said: “As we continue to manage the current cyber incident, we have written to customers today to let them know that unfortunately, some personal customer information has been taken.
“Importantly, there is no evidence that the information has been shared and it does not include useable card or payment details, or account passwords, so there is no need for customers to take any action.
“To give customers extra peace of mind, they will be prompted to reset their password the next time they visit or log on to their M&S account and we have shared information on how to stay safe online.
“Everyone at M&S is working around the clock to get things back to normal for our customers as quickly as possible, and we are very sorry for any inconvenience they have experienced. Our stores remain open as they have throughout.
“Thank you for shopping with us and for your continued support, we are incredibly grateful.”
RETAILERS have been feeling the squeeze since the pandemic, while shoppers are cutting back on spending due to the soaring cost of living crisis.
High energy costs and a move to shopping online after the pandemic are also taking a toll, and many high street shops have struggled to keep going.
However, additional costs have added further pain to an already struggling sector.
The British Retail Consortium has predicted that the Treasury’s hike to employer NICs from April will cost the retail sector £2.3billion.
At the same time, the minimum wage will rise to £12.21 an hour from April, and the minimum wage for people aged 18-20 will rise to £10 an hour, an increase of £1.40.
The Centre for Retail Research (CRR) has also warned that around 17,350 retail sites are expected to shut down this year.
It comes on the back of a tough 2024 when 13,000 shops closed their doors for good, already a 28% increase on the previous year.
Professor Joshua Bamfield, director of the CRR said: “The results for 2024 show that although the outcomes for store closures overall were not as poor as in either 2020 or 2022, they are still disconcerting, with worse set to come in 2025.”
It comes after almost 170,000 retail workers lost their jobs in 2024.
End-of-year figures compiled by the Centre for Retail Research showed the number of job losses spiked amid the collapse of major chains such as Homebase and Ted Baker.
It said its latest analysis showed that a total of 169,395 retail jobs were lost in the 2024 calendar year to date.
This was up 49,990 – an increase of 41.9% – compared with 2023.
It is the highest annual reading since more than 200,000 jobs were lost in 2020 in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced retailers to shut their stores during lockdowns.
The centre said 38 major retailers went into administration in 2024, including household names such as Lloyds Pharmacy, Homebase, The Body Shop, Carpetright and Ted Baker.
Around a third of all retail job losses in 2024, 33% or 55,914 in total, resulted from administrations.
Experts have said small high street shops could face a particularly challenging 2025 because of Budget tax and wage changes.
Professor Bamfield has warned of a bleak outlook for 2025, predicting that as many as 202,000 jobs could be lost in the sector.
“By increasing both the costs of running stores and the costs on each consumer’s household it is highly likely that we will see retail job losses eclipse the height of the pandemic in 2020.”
PLAYERS on The 1% Club struggled through a ‘suspiciously easy’ £80k question.
ITV viewers were absolutely shocked by the number of players that were eliminated from the game show in the 30% round.

He asked the studio audience to solve a numeric question
Lee Mack took to the airwaves on Saturday night to host the latest edition of The 1% Club.
On the smash-hit show, players are not tested on their general knowledge like other shows such as The Chase and Tipping Point.
Instead they are whittled down as they are tasked with solving riddles based on logic, reasoning skills and common sense.
100 players try to make it to the end of the show to answer the last question and join the prestigious one per cent club.
This is a question that only one per cent of the public would answer correctly.
However, many players fell at the 30% hurdle as the host was looking for the correct answer of a numerical question.
The players were given a cartoon picture of a typical four-function calculator.
Mack asked: “What’s the largest four-digit number you can type using just the number keys on the bottom two rows of this calculator without using the same number key twice?”
As per the show rules, the players who were still in the game had just 30 seconds to work out the answer.
The number ‘3210’ was the correct answer, something that 12 players got wrong.
The 1% Club knocks out 10 players in ‘easy’ children’s character question
Despite the high number of eliminations, many viewers at home who were playing along actually answered the common sense riddle correctly.
Droves of fans who tuned in took to social media as they were slammed the question at being too ‘easy’.
The 1% Club sees 100 contestants try and make it to the 1% question and be in with a chance to win a share of the jackpot. Here are just some of the show’s most difficult teasers.
Players had to compare and contrast three images of butterflies then explain which of the butterflies were exactly the same on both sides. Find the image and answer here.
Players were shown groups of six symbols then asked which were in the same order whether you read them from left to right or right to left. Find the image and answer here.
Players were asked how many different combinations were there of displaying four digits on one hand. Find the answer here.
Peter had recently found his old diary that he’d written in secret code but he couldn’t remember how to decipher what he wrote. Players were asked to crack the code and find out what the bold word was. WH89 I GR1W UP I WA92 21 B8 A 5L1RI72.Find the image and answer here.
A 1% question was based on a grid of numbers going in ascending order from 1 to 49. Starting on 25, the middle square, SEEN took you to square 27. From there, NEW took you to 20. From there, which square would SEWN take you to? Find the image and the answer here.
A third asked: “3210 …Is it easier this week?”
Writing the answer someone else enquired: “3210. How is this a 30% question?”
And a fifth added: “The calculator question seems suspiciously easy.”
After the huge round of eliminations, Mack then announced that the prize pot was raised to a whopping £80,000.

SHOPPERS have been left gutted after discovering a major supermarket has axed popular crisps.
Aldi has discontinued its Snackrite Mighty Crisps, just weeks after they were first introduced.

At the time of their launch back in January, shoppers posted rave reviewsCredit: Facebook
The Marmite-flavoured crisps, which first hit shelves back in January, quickly became a hit with shoppers, priced at just 89p for a pack of six.
However, one fan of the savoury snack recently noticed their absence from stores.
Curious about the situation, they reached out to Aldi on X (formerly Twitter) to find out what had happened, only to be disappointed by the response that the crisps had been discontinued.
The shopper wrote on X: “What’s happened to those new Mighty Crisps you brought in?
“They’re so good and were selling out so why have more not been brought in?”
Aldi replied: “They were part of our seasonal range and will only be available at certain times of the year until sold out.
“Sorry for any disappointment caused.”
Frustrated by the reply, the shopper hit back, saying: “They were literally only in for a few weeks…
“No idea why they would be seasonal?
“They’re the best flavour you’ve brought in and should be available all year round…
“You do make some strange decisions sometimes.”
People are just realising there’s a ‘life changing’ way to seal an open food packet without a clip
Marmite enthusiasts can opt for these crisps as an alternative to both Walkers and Aldi’s Mighty Crunch varieties, available at Tesco for as little as £2.20.

Fabulous Bakin’ Boys Cupcakes
Consumer reporter Emily Mee says: “It was always a good day when I spotted these in my lunch box at school. Putting a layer of chocolate on top of a vanilla cupcake is a simple idea but a genius one. I would pay good money to try these again…”
Ready Salted Chipsticks
Head of Consumer Tara Evans says: “Ready Salted Chipsticks. Why did they get rid of this classic flavour? Some people think ready salted is boring – but why mess with a classic? I often feel taunted when I see the salt and vinegar version in shops.”
Coco Pops Rocks
Consumer news editor Ellie Smitherman says: “No idea whose bright idea it was to get rid of these, but it was possibly one of the worst moves in cereal history. Coco Pops Straws, too! If I had known the last time I’d have one would be the last time, I’d have savoured it far more.”
Tooti Frooties
Senior consumer reporter James Flanders says: “Tooty Frooties were a chewy blast of childhood joy. Scrapped after 50 years, they were Britain’s alternative to Skittles – and in an age obsessed with nostalgia, bringing them back just makes sense. Lots of dupes can be picked up at budget supermarkets but they just don’t taste the same.”
White Maltesers
While the milk chocolate version is still going strong, White Chocolate Maltesers were pulled from shelves in 2014. Mars said it was a “difficult decision” at the time, and fans still post comments on its social media pages calling for it to come back.
Heinz Toast Toppers
Out of all the discontinued products, this is one of the ones we see the most calls for to come back. The creamy cans came in a variety of flavours like chicken and mushroom or cheese and ham. They were binned in 2015 after delighting shoppers for decades.
Cadbury Spira
Another of the regular calls we see is for the Cadbury Spira to return. The chocolate featured twin bars in each pack which were formed into a spiral shape, with six hollow tubes running through each one.

Cops and stewards had to intervene to keep the peace during the game, which Chelsea won 1-0.
Chelsea claim to be cracking down on illegal ticket sales and are going digital with seat allocation from next season in a bid to beat the touts.
The visiting supporters made no attempt to remain anonymous and sang loudly throughout the 90-minute match.
Footage from inside the ground on the night shows one section of Stamford Bridge being completely taken over by visiting fans, which saw Chelsea release an update during the game and relocate fans in the impacted areas.
One fan captured a video showing fans clashing in the Matthew Harding Stand of the stadium during the match, with another showing fans brawling in the West Stand concourse at half-time.
The Chelsea Supporters’ Trust released a damning statement following the game and asked fans to come forwards to present evidence for an formal investigation.
The statement said: “During Thursday’s UEFA Conference League vs. Djurgården, a huge number of away supporters were able to infiltrate large areas of the home end.
“This is the most serious breach of stadium security in recent memory, and it significantly undermines any security protocols Chelsea FC put in place ahead of the fixture.
“As a result, the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust will formally write a letter of complaint to Chelsea FC’s COO and Head of Security.
“We will call for a formal investigation by the club into the ticket sales process and Chelsea FC’s security response during the match.
Chaos at Stamford Bridge as Djurgarden fans jump over barriers and clash in away end against Chelsea
“The findings of this investigation and any subsequent recommendations must be made available to supporters.
“The CST invites all supporters who attended the fixture on Thursday to submit written, photographic, and video evidence they captured during the fixture.
“The CST will then collate this evidence and then submit it to Chelsea FC.”
A Chelsea statement read: “We will be reviewing all ticketing arrangements following this evening’s match and commit to implementing all necessary changes following this review.
“We will also share all our findings with the Fan Advisory Board.”
Large numbers of police were on duty as they were in the previous round when the notorious Legia Warsaw ultras also gained entry into home sections of the ground.
Chelsea’s own chairman Todd Boehly owns a stake in US-based Vivid Seats which is an unauthorised ticket resale site.
A Met Police spokesperson said: ‘Officers were deployed to support stewards at Stamford Bridge last night after a number of away fans were identified in home stands.
“The fans had purchased tickets but not for the appropriate part of the ground.
“A number of away fans who had found themselves in the home stands climbed into the designated away stand where they remained without incident.
“Where away fans remained in home areas, officers and stewards provided a visible presence to ensure any incidents or altercations could be dealt with.
“While there were six arrests outside the ground for various offences including assault and possession of drugs, there were no arrests within the ground.”
Chelsea ratings vs Djurgarden as Dewsbury-Hall makes most of rare start but Sancho should have done better
CHELSEA coasted their way into the Conference League final thanks to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s first-half finish.
Enzo Maresca’s men had done the difficult work last week with a thumping first-leg win.
But Dewsbury-Hall gave the home fans something to cheer about with a smart finish.
Tyrique George fed the midfielder, who cut inside Djurgarden defender Miro Tenho before slotting home.

Julien Baker has cancelled her tour with Torres in order to ‘focus on her health‘ and any remaining dates have been scrapped.
The official statement read: “Due to recent events, Julien Baker is prioritising her well-being and taking time to focus on her health.
“Therefore, the Julien Baker & TORRES ‘Send A Prayer My Way’ Tour has been cancelled.
“This decision was not made lightly, and we understand the disappointment this may cause for fans. We deeply appreciate your understanding.”
It continued: “Refunds and ticketing information will be provided by the original point of purchase.
“Thank you for your continued support and compassion.”
The Not Strong Enough star was next set to take to the stage in Greenfield, Massachusetts on 20 June.
The 29-year-old’s last sold-out show was on Thursday, May 1 in New Orleans.
Just days ago on Instagram, Baker shared a video with the caption: “Getting to play these songs for y’all has been unbelievably fun… Keep an eye out for more tour news soon.”

So far, more than 288million people have joined the viral online discussion, which has taken over Reddit, TikTok, YouTube and Instagram, after a user called DreamChasnMike posed the hypothetical question on X.
Ukrainian slugger Usyk boldly claimed that he could take on the challenge single-handed.
Meanwhile Elon fancied himself in a team of 100 against a single silverback gorilla when YouTube star MrBeast, who has 386million followers, asked for volunteers to put it to the test.
“What’s the worst that could happen?” Elon asked.
It’s a good question.
But big-primate dentist Paul Cassar, from Chichester, West Sussex, warned there is no contest when it comes to man versus beast.
He said: “While I’d never condone this, 100 unarmed men wouldn’t stand a chance.
“I once treated a gorilla who was only slightly agitated, yet he started picking up a giant iron ball that no human could have lifted and throwing it against the wall.
“The whole building shook.”
Terrifying moment Sir David Attenborough’s cameraman Vianet Djenguet is attacked by gorilla
Kartick Satyanarayan, of conservation charity Wildlife SOS,, also opposed any face-off.
But he added: “A hundred Mike Tysons are unlikely to be able to tackle a gorilla with bare hands.
“One look at those gigantic teeth can indicate the damage they can inflict.”
Gorillas have powerful bites and just one punch can shatter a human skull.
Even so, England midfielder Cole Palmer struggled to pick sides in the debate, saying: “Bro, it’s split though . . . 100 men that are willing to fight . . . ”

But MMA champ Merab Dvalishvili reckoned he could see off the beast alone, bragging: “I’m smart. I’m strong. Easy.”
President of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, Tara Stoinski, reckons 100 blokes would win by co-operating and co-ordinating strategies.
She added: “They can take turns, so their endurance is going to be a lot longer than a single gorilla fighting for hours.”
And Ron Magill, of Zoo Miami, added: “Gorillas only fight to protect their families.
“But I’ve seen a gorilla break a coconut and flip a 300lb boulder like it’s styrofoam.”
Psychologists warn that relying on others in extreme situations is a gamble, and fitness experts agree.
Emily Cleary, of Embrace Fitness, said: “Our strength is our brain and ability to work in teams, but I question the brain strength of anyone who tries to put it to the test.”
Dan Simmonds, from London Zoo, added: “Gorillas are gentle and shy, so they prefer not to waste energy on aggression unless provoked.”
So who WOULD win?
Perhaps the real question, in a scenario so ludicrous is: Who gives a monkey’s?
The Entertainer’s Barrow-in-Furness outlet first opened in 2017Credit: Google Maps
The store has been one of The Entertainers more than 160 stores in the UK, which took over from an Argos eight years ago.
Staff and customers have expressed their disappointment in the stores closure.
Keith Stenhouse, Head of Region at The Entertainer, shared his regret: “We are sad to beclosingour Barrow in Furness store as of 3rd May and would like to thank our customers and staff for their loyalty and support.
“We’re proud of the service we’ve offered and are committed to supporting our employees through this situation.”
He explained that it was a necessary decision from the company to shut down standalone stores that were “no longer profitable”.
This particular Entertainer store in Cumbria gained notoriety in the past due to the large donations it has made to charity, The Mail reports.
It gave away large amounts of toys to the children’s ward of Furness General Hospital during Christmas the year it opened.
The company has also made large donations to local charities, and was involved in Barrow BID, a group working to revitalise the town centre.
Taking to social media, shoppers reacted to the announcement of the scores closure.
One wrote: “Staff where brilliant I wish them every bit of luck in future as they always where very interactive with the kids it’s such a shame.”
Aldi shoppers race to the Middle Aisle to grab kid’s toys
Another added: “It’s a shame I always go here with grandson.”
A third also posted: “It’s such a shame it’s a lovely shop for the kiddies and it’s in town which is so important.”
John Edwards, who managed the store for a number of years, also expressed he was “incredibly sad” to see its closure, calling the site an “asset” to the community.
John added: “It was always important to me it wasn’t just a shop, it had to be an experience and be somewhere kids were excited to go – it’s a huge shame to lose that.”
This closure is among a number of stores that have been shuttered by The Entertainer in the past six months.
One reacted to the news and said: “Luton is on its knees.”
Andrew Murphy OBE, group chief executive at The Entertainer, explained the store had closed after its lease agreement came to an end.
Speaking at the time of the closure, he said: “Like most large national retailers, we continuously assess potential new locations while deciding whether to renew those shops which have reached the end of their lease arrangements.”
RETAIL PAIN IN 2025
The British Retail Consortium has predicted that the Treasury’s hike to employer NICs will cost the retail sector £2.3billion.
Research by the British Chambers of Commerce shows that more than half of companies plan to raise prices by early April.
A survey of more than 4,800 firms found that 55% expect prices to increase in the next three months, up from 39% in a similar poll conducted in the latter half of 2024.
Three-quarters of companies cited the cost of employing people as their primary financial pressure.
Professor Bamfield has also warned of a bleak outlook for 2025, predicting that as many as 202,000 jobs could be lost in the sector.
“By increasing both the costs of running stores and the costs on each consumer’s household it is highly likely that we will see retail job losses eclipse the height of the pandemic in 2020.”
THEY are social media’s hottest couple and fans were delighted when Molly-Mae Hague FINALLY confirmed she had reunited with Tommy Fury this week .

It was a smart move that compounded Molly-Mae’s power as one of Britain’s most shrewd influencers for, despite the heartache of their break-up, the couple’s split has seen interest in them soar at a time they were launching new projects.
Now Molly-Mae and Tommy have been revealed as the UK’s fifth richest TV couple with a combined wealth of £13million.
She has her own clothing range, homeware and fake tan, is brand ambassador for Pretty Little Thing and has an ongoing deal with Starbucks.
This week she signed a deal worth £1million with Beauty Works while her TV show and business ventures boosted the coffers by around £6million.
Tommy, brother of Tyson Fury, is worth £3million, earns around £1.6million a fight and has a contract with M&S worth £150,000.
Even two-year-old daughter Bambi is getting in on the act, starring in a new brand campaign for Persil and Comfort, said to have netted the family seven figures.
According to Daily Mail analysis the influencer and boxer, who met on Love Island in 2019, are even richer than telly golden couple Tess Daly and Vernon Kay, estimated to be worth £11.5million.
They are pipped to fourth spot by Rochelle and Marvin Humes, worth £15.1million between them, while actress Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright take the top spot at £20million.
The influencer and boxer, both 25, broke up last August amid rumours he cheated and Tommy later admitted to struggling with booze.
Molly-Mae Hague shares heartbreaking insight into new Amazon series after Tommy Fury reunion
She vehemently denied the accusation in January after The Sun exclusively revealed a photo of the pair snogging at a New Year’s party.
In March, eagle-eyed fans spotted the couple were on holiday in Dubai together – despite posting separate, strikingly similar pictures on their Instagram pages.
Speaking in January, Molly-Mae, known for her sharp business acumen, denied the split was orchestrated to earn big bucks.
She called out stunt rumours at the launch of her show saying: “I think that for me above everything else that (the speculation) has been the most frustrating part because I actually say in the documentary, I wish it was a publicity stunt because it would be a lot easier, because going through all of this with the turmoil of a breakup has been incredibly hard.
“And I think to have those comments – and I do see the comments, I see all of them – like people saying, you know, this has obviously been done for the launch of a brand or publicity stunt, that is very painful to read because it’s real life.”

Molly-Mae continued: “You know, Tommy and I have a baby together and it’s very, very real, and it’s really, it’s a really hard thing that we’ve both gone through the last six months.
“I think the documentary will clear up any questions.
“You see a real, real side to it, and it’s kind of like you’re a bit vulnerable, and like I say, I think people will be surprised by how honest we’ve been.”
Fans were blindsided when Molly Mae announced the pair had split on Instagram last summer amid claims he had cheated on a lad’s holiday in Macedonia.
Five months later The Sun’s Clemmie Moodie broke the story that the couple were back together after our exclusive images showed them sharing a kiss at a New Year’s party at the Cheshire home of Man Utd star Luke Shaw.
Most nights I would drink to get black-out drunk. I think that’s what really took its toll on me
Tommy Fury
The celebrity pair were careful not to be pictured together looking loved-up as they continued to co–parent baby Bambi – paving the way for Molly-Mae to tell all in her new show, which airs on May 9.
Cheating denial
Tommy denied cheating on his partner saying: “I think if you were going to cheat on someone you should just sit down and say, ‘I don’t love you any more’, clearly, because you want to go and pursue other people.
“When you get to that stage, I think you should just call it a day.
“If you want to go there and have affairs with women then you definitely shouldn’t be with your partner. Definitely not. And have I ever reached that point? No.”
Tommy later blamed the split on his alcohol addiction saying: “Most nights I would drink to get black-out drunk. I think that’s what really took its toll on me.”
The couple, who live in a £4.5 mansion, might be back together but there could be more drama to come.

The influencer replies: “One hundred per cent.”
However, Molly-Mae is also filmed saying: “Things are looking like they are heading in a good direction but by tomorrow could it all be destroyed again?”
Whatever happens in their relationship there’s no doubt that, with so much intrigue surrounding the pair, the cash will continue to pour in.

Jack has had numerous run-ins with the law since 2021 when he was arrested for drug-driving.
In 2023 he was convicted of the same charge and said it was the wake-up call he needed.
Jack told how he was at rock bottom when he was pulled over by cops for a second time.
Later that year he was handed a 36-month driving ban and given 60 hours’ community service.
