Celebs Go Dating’s new recruit Donna Preston slammed over ‘inappropriate’ sex chat on first date

CELEBS Go Dating fans were left unimpressed last night when new recruit Donna Preston’s date turned X-rated.

Comedian Donna, 39, joined the Celebs Go Dating agency in Tuesday night’s episode.

She was thrown straight in at the deep end when she was blindfolded and sent on a date with Damian.

After he asked if she had pets, Donna replied: “I’ve got a cat.”

She then told Damian her pet is called Mr Big, to which he replied: “Mr Big? A nice, big pussy.”

But, rather than being turned off by his obvious innuendo, Donna quizzed Damian on his sex drive.

After claiming it’s “through the roof”, Damian admitted to having had “threesomes and a fivesome”.

Donna said: “A fivesome? Isn’t that a g*** b***? How was that?”

Damian replied: “It was good, I enjoyed it.”

But some viewers at home didn’t enjoy the exchange, with one writing on social media: “omg at Donna’s blind date tonight …. Their conversation was so risqué lol …. I was flabbergasted.”

And another said: “Donna & Damian are a bit much. Who has those chats on a first date?”

Ahead of her Celebs Go Dating debut, Donna spoke to The Sun about her previous relationships – confessing she once dated a murderer who is now in jail.

She said: “I’ve been in two long-term relationships and when I got out of that I went on a date and they ended up being a murderer.

“A real life murderer! He’s in jail though, so that’s nice.”

FA Cup quarter-finals draw: Bournemouth v Man City, Preston v Aston Villa

Bournemouth have been drawn at home to Manchester City in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Preston, the only Championship side left in the FA Cup, are at home to Unai Emery’s Aston Villa.

Fulham host Crystal Palace in a London derby.

And Brighton will be at home to either Nottingham Forest or Ipswich, who play their fifth-round tie on Monday.

Aside from 2023 victors Manchester City, Ipswich are the most recent FA Cup winners (1978) left in it.

Fulham, Palace, Bournemouth and Brighton have never won the cup.

“It’s very open now. What a chance for a team to go and win it,” said ex-Manchester City and Villa defender Micah Richards on BBC One.

“All the [other] big teams are out. Manchester City are obviously the strongest team left in there. This is what we wanted, teams to get a chance.”

The quarter-final ties will take place on the weekend of Saturday, 29 March.

Cardiff City: ‘Big problems’ ahead if there is no Preston reaction – Omer Riza

Any hope that greater certainty over Cardiff’s managerial situation would result in an upturn in fortunes on the pitch was dashed as they slumped to defeat by Preston.

“That’s not my team,” Riza added. “I don’t like that sort of behaviour, I don’t like it when we don’t work, I don’t like it when we don’t fight, I don’t like it when we haven’t got desire, I don’t like it when the opposition beat us like that – they beat us down.

“[It was] very flat from us. We didn’t play at the weekend. We trained Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, so it’s not like they had days off.

“We applied what we needed to do but the boys, they have got to look at themselves and I don’t usually say that.”

Some Cardiff fans chanted “Riza, sort it out” during the Preston defeat, their third straight home loss, while there were boos at full-time.

“It was disappointing to hear the boos, disappointing to hear the frustrations and I join them in that as well,” Riza added.

“Sometimes it’s not tactics, it’s not systems, it’s desire, it’s quality. That’s what we are going to be looking for – energy to want to play, intensity to want to play.”

How the costumes on ‘Elsbeth’ are used to disarm the unsuspecting

Given her fondness for hot pink outerwear, it is unlikely that Elsbeth Tascioni (Carrie Preston) has garments in her closet bearing any resemblance to Lt. Columbo’s iconic, well-worn beige raincoat. Still, Peter Falk’s formidable cigar-smoking detective serves as an inspiration for Elsbeth, with her intentionally disarming wardrobe, and how she outwits the murderer-of-the-week, played by a famous guest star.

“We really want Elsbeth’s clothing to be the equivalent of Columbo’s trench coat,” says Daniel Lawson, “Elsbeth’s” costume designer. He designed the wardrobe for the lawyer-turned-investigator, from Preston’s first appearance on “The Good Wife” in 2010 through spinoff “The Good Fight” and now in the character’s titular turn. Lawson is attuned to the idiosyncratic character’s maximalist-leaning tastes and how suspects and cops view her.

It is Columbo’s persistence and continued presence that Lawson taps into. “Even at the precinct, she comes around the corner, and some cops are like, ‘Oh, come on. Here she is again. Look at that jacket, look at those pants, look at that hat,’” Lawson says. “Her clothing is the Columbo trench coat — the idea of it — the piece of sand in your bathing suit.”

Similar to Columbo, who on occasion sported a tuxedo to ensnare a suspect, Elsbeth has already dressed up this season to attend the opera and gone in costume as Holly Golightly from “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” for Halloween.

Thursday’s episode featured a black-tie bash at an exclusive jewelry store where Elsbeth goes face-to-face with glamorous Vanessa Williams, who stars in a killer guest spot that centers on a heist gone wrong. “It’s fun that each episode has its own world and theme. It keeps us on our toes, and hopefully, it keeps the audience feeling like they have something fresh,” Preston says.

After the success of the first season of “Elsbeth,” which had only 10 episodes, CBS doubled the number of episodes for Season 2, allowing the costume department to develop more playful fashion moments. Christmas is already in the can and Valentine’s Day is on the horizon.

Here, Lawson and Preston discuss key costumes from the first four episodes of the second season, culminating with Elsbeth’s high-glam gown opposite Williams.
