ARLINGTON, Tex. — Adolis García, Joc Pederson and Kyle Higashioka each hit a three-run homer, Corey Seager went deep a team-leading 21st time and the Texas Rangers blew out the Angels 20-3 on Wednesday night.

García’s 17th home run highlighted a four-run first inning, Pederson made it 7-1 in the second with his seventh of the season and Seager added a two-run shot in the fourth.

Higashioka’s 10th homer for a 20-3 lead came on the last of 21 pitches — all between 30 and 40 mph — from Oswald Peraza, who moved to the mound from first base in the seventh and allowed eight runs while getting one out.

The first three homers came against Jack Kochanowicz, who was called up from triple-A Salt Lake before the game for his 23rd start in his third stint with the Angels this season.

Kochanowicz (3-11) gave up 11 runs with 10 earned — both career highs — in 3 1/3 innings. The right-hander’s ERA rose to 6.81.

Jacob Webb (5-4) pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings after Jacob Latz started a bullpen game in place of Nathan Eovaldi, who went on the injured list a day after the Rangers said the right-hander’s season was probably over due to a rotator cuff strain.

Wyatt Langford reached base all five times and scored four runs before he was replaced by a pinch-runner in the seventh.

ARLINGTON, Tex. — Tyler Mahle struck out nine over six sharp innings, and the Texas Rangers snapped a three-game losing streak with a 4-0 win over the Angels on Tuesday night.

Mahle (3-0) limited the Angels to three singles and walked two batters before four relievers finished off the third shutout win for Texas already this year. The right-hander, who missed most of the last two seasons after Tommy John surgery in May 2023, has a 0.92 ERA in four starts.

Angels starter Yusei Kikuchi (0-3) struck out six while also pitching three-hit ball over six innings. He walked two.

Texas manufactured its first run after Mahle had thrown the last of his 93 pitches to finish the top of the sixth inning.

No. 9 batter Leody Taveras led off the bottom half with a bunt single, stole second and went to third on catcher Travis d’Arnaud’s throwing error. Taveras scored when Marcus Semien’s sacrifice fly was caught by Taylor Ward against the wall in left field.

Jonah Heim and Kyle Higashioka hit back-to-back doubles in the Texas seventh. Josh Jung added an RBI single in the eighth.

The Angels, who were held scoreless for the first time this season, had runners on the corners with one out in the fourth, but Mahle got out of that jam with consecutive strikeouts of d’Arnaud and Nolan Schanuel.
