Best Crypto to Buy: 4 Undervalued Gems That Could Explode

The crypto market moves fast, but it’s moving faster than ever this week. While Bitcoin holds tight above $100,000, altcoin prices are exploding.

It started with large caps like Ethereum, Solana, and Dogecoin, but now smaller market capitalisation cryptos are providing huge gains. According to CoinMarketCap data, the total crypto market cap has jumped by over $500 billion in the last 30 days.

This article looks at four of the best crypto to buy now that are undervalued and could provide substantial gains in the months ahead.

BTC Bull Token

As is often the case in bullish periods, the meme coin sector has been one of the biggest providers of gains this month. There’s no shortage of meme coins that have risen over 100%, and some – like Moo Deng – are up close to 10x.

But one of the most promising meme coins on the market might just be BTC Bull Token, a Bitcoin-themed project that pays its holders real Bitcoin rewards.

It tracks Bitcoin’s price and runs airdrops at key milestones. The first was planned for $100K, followed by $150K, $200K, $250K, and so on. These airdrops will continue until Bitcoin hits $1 million, allowing meme coin investors to benefit from $BTC’s long-term growth without having to purchase it directly.

The project is undergoing a presale which has raised $5.7 million so far.

Its early stage means that investors still have the opportunity to buy $BTCBULL cheaply, which could lead to strong gains.

Solaxy

Solaxy is building the world’s first Solana layer 2 blockchain, and it could change how users’ interactions with the ecosystem.

Although Solanna is known for its impressive speeds and seamless user experience, it continues to grapple with congestion issues during periods of peak network activity. In these windows, transactions take longer to complete, and failure rates increase.

The Solaxy layer 2 blockchain offers an innovative solution. It uses transaction bundling technology and off-chain computation to process transactions at a higher speed than Solana.

This has the potential to unlock new applications within the Solana ecosystem and could also lay the groundwork for increased adoption, which could see Solaxy grow rapidly.

Solaxy is also undergoing a presale, where it has raised $35 million so far. This makes it the biggest Solana presale in history, signalling real growth potential once it hits exchanges.

Dogwifhat

Regarding meme coins on Solana, Dogwifhat is one of the most promising options on the market right now.

$WIF was a top performer in early 2024, peaking at a market capitalisation of around $4 billion. It struggled to maintain peace in early 2025 and crashed almost 90% from its ATH, but it’s starting to gain traction once again.

It’s currently the best-performing cryptocurrency among the top 100 projects by market cap, having risen by 71% this week.

However, its current market cap is just $1 billion, leaving room for around a 4x gain to catch its ATH.

And considering that momentum is on its side, there’s every chance that it does surge toward its ATH in the coming months.

Deepbook Protocol

In addition to Solana, Sui is another blockchain with strong potential. One reason why is that it’s supported by Solana’s Phantom wallet.

This means that millions of Solana users can easily enter the ecosystem, which could draw billions of dollars in liquidity there.

And within the Sui ecosystem, Deepbook Protocol is one of the most promising projects.

It’s the blockchain’s native decentralised exchange, and it’s also the ecosystem’s native liquidity layer.

In practice, this means that Deepbook Protocol handles liquidity provision for ecosystem applications, leaving them to focus all their efforts on creating a better user experience.

This also makes Deepbook Protocol a crucial piece inside the Sui ecosystem and means its price rise will likely rise alongside the network’s adoption.

ETH Breaks $2.6K Amid Pectra Upgrade—Best Crypto Presales to Buy Today

  • Ethereum’s recent rally above $2,600 has reignited excitement across the crypto market, powered by optimism around the Pectra upgrade.
  • This major network improvement improves speed, usability, and scalability, signaling stronger long-term fundamentals for ETH.
  • Yet, while Ethereum is gaining momentum, early investors are also paying attention to Bitcoin Pepe.

As the first meme-focused layer 2 on Bitcoin, Bitcoin Pepe offers Solana-like speed and low fees combined with Bitcoin’s unmatched security. Having raised over $8.1m and with its presale nearing closure before the May 31 listing event, Bitcoin Pepe is recognized as one of the best crypto presales to buy today. Meanwhile, with rumors of CEX platforms listing Bitcoin Pepe, investors are rushing to buy the meme coin before it is listed.

Ethereum price prediction: ETH breaks $2.6K amid Pectra upgrade

Ethereum’s recent rally to $2,600 wasn’t just driven by technical momentum. The successful rollout of the Pectra upgrade powered it. This major network improvement introduced enhanced burning mechanisms that reduce the overall ETH supply, helping fuel scarcity and renewed market optimism.

According to CryptoQuant, Ethereum is trading well above the realized price for accumulation addresses, particularly on Binance. This suggests that long-term holders and frequent depositors—often seen as strong hands in the market—are doubling down on ETH. With a 44% price surge in just one week, Ethereum’s fundamentals align with bullish price action.

While Ethereum gains momentum, early investors are also turning their attention to Bitcoin Pepe as one of the best crypto presales to buy today.

Bitcoin Pepe continues to ride Bitcoin’s latest momentum

Bitcoin Pepe is going viral as one of the crypto presales of 2025, combining Bitcoin’s trust and capital with meme culture’s explosive potential. At its core is the PEP-20 token standard—a new tool that allows users to launch meme coins directly on Bitcoin’s blockchain. This is a true layer-2 innovation that delivers Solana-like speed and low fees while preserving Bitcoin’s unmatched security.

Currently priced at $0.0326, Bitcoin Pepe gives early adopters a rare entry into potentially one of the best crypto presales to buy in 2025. By enabling the creation of meme coins on Bitcoin, BPEP unlocks access to over $2 trillion in dormant capital—something no meme coin project has done before.

As the presale nears its final stages and anticipation builds around its exchange debut, Bitcoin Pepe could become the defining meme coin of the next market cycle. With over $8.1m raised and its presale nearing a close ahead of the May 31 listing event, Bitcoin Pepe stands out as one of the best crypto presales to buy today.

Cardano’s breakout momentum builds as bulls eye higher gains

Cardano (ADA) is steadily regaining attention with renewed investor optimism and a solid push from its expanding smart contract and DeFi ecosystems. Although, according to CoinMarketCap, ADA trades at $0.80 with a minor 1.13% dip over the last 24 hours, its broader trend remains firmly bullish. ADA has rallied nearly 20% in just a week, showing that the market is waking up to Cardano’s long-term potential.

Source

The latest developments in Cardano’s network, including growing developer activity and more complex DeFi integrations, have added to its credibility. Technical indicators continue to support a move higher, especially with ADA pushing through major resistance levels. Despite a notable drop in trading volume—down 33.05% to $1.01 billion—the price has remained resilient, a sign of holding power among confident long-term holders.

With Bitcoin Pepe’s presale rapidly selling out ahead of the highly anticipated May 31 listing, the meme coin is quickly becoming one of the best crypto presales to buy today before prices soar and early access disappears for good.

Best Crypto Presales To Buy Before Bitcoin Clears $110K in ETF-Led Supercycle

  • Bitcoin ETFs have attracted over $40 billion in lifetime inflows, setting a historic record as institutional investors continue pouring money into regulated crypto exposure.
  • Standard Chartered’s head of digital assets apologized that their forecast of $120K for Q2 was considerably lower than it should have been.
  • Bitcoin Pepe’s presale is gaining serious momentum with its end-of-month launch fast approaching, positioning it as potentially the best crypto to buy now before it brings lightning-fast trading to the Bitcoin ecosystem.

The institutional money flooding into Bitcoin right now is absolutely staggering. ETF inflows have just smashed through $40.33 billion, according to Bloomberg data shared by analyst James Seyffart, with May 8th alone setting records for single-day buying.

Above: Bitcoin ETF inflows are accelerating. Source: James Seyffart from Bloomberg.

Analysts are raising their price targets dramatically. Standard Chartered’s head of digital assets recently admitted to CNBC, “I apologize that my $120k Q2 target may be too low,” adding, “The dominant story for Bitcoin has changed again… It is now all about flows. And flows are coming in many forms.”

What’s most telling about ETF flows is their acceleration. It took nearly a year to reach $35 billion by March, but just two more months to add another $5 billion. That represents serious institutional capital positioning for what many believe will be a historic Bitcoin run.

Asset managers and hedge funds are finally embracing Bitcoin ETFs as their preferred vehicle for gaining exposure, which could lead to a domino effect.

We all know what FOMO is in the retail trading sector, but consider what would happen to crypto if some of the world’s leading financial institutions and sovereign wealth funds start to feel that they’re the ones missing out.

ETF Supercycle creates perfect conditions for Bitcoin infrastructure growth

Adoption of ETFs is not only driving up the price of Bitcoin, but it is also bringing about a significant transformation for the entire ecosystem. As institutional holdings grow, we’re seeing some key ripple effects that traders should keep their eyes on.

For example, look at what’s happening to Bitcoin’s circulating supply. With ETF providers now holding billions worth of BTC in cold storage, the amount of Bitcoin actually moving around the network is shrinking dramatically. This supply squeeze helps push prices higher, but it also intensifies the network’s existing bottlenecks. Fewer available coins mean even more congestion on an already cramped base layer.

Second, during the period when retail traders dominated, simply holding Bitcoin was sufficient, and there was little necessity for super-fast trading. Now, Bitcoin may reveal its limitations with transaction speeds of just seven TPS, thousands of times slower than Ethereum and Solana.

This dynamic creates a golden opportunity for layer 2 solutions built on Bitcoin. We saw exactly how the scenario played out with Ethereum—layer 2 networks rocketed in value by extending the chain’s functionality.

Bitcoin Pepe: Breaking Bitcoin’s Speed Barrier When It Matters Most

As Bitcoin investment rockets across the retail and institutional sectors, any solution that improves and extends its functionality will attract immense interest. Bitcoin Pepe is hitting the market at exactly the right moment, shattering BTC’s speed limitations.

Bitcoin Pepe works by creating a layer 2 solution on top of Bitcoin—an express lane built above the main highway. When you trade on Bitcoin Pepe, transactions are considerably quicker than on Bitcoin’s congested base layer.

The PEP-20 token standard is central, allowing people to create and trade tokens that are ultimately secured by Bitcoin but don’t suffer from its slow speeds. Transactions are bundled together and processed in batches; the final results are recorded on the main Bitcoin blockchain

Bitcoin Pepe is first focusing on meme trading—fun, viral trending crypto projects. It’s the perfect gateway to adoption for what is fundamentally a strong infrastructural add-on for Bitcoin.

The dev team recently opened up a generous staking program divided across three tiers: a 90-day quick option that still pays 75% APY, a stronger 120-day commitment delivering 250% APY, or the whale-sized 180-day package with its massive 10,000% APY (limited to just 1M tokens—about 0.05% of the total supply). These astronomical yields are designed to build strong community backing during the early stages.

Multiple tier-1 platforms are reportedly fast-tracking BPEP for immediate post-launch trading, creating the potential for explosive price discovery once the token goes live. With less than a month until launch, the current presale prices could soon look like a distant memory—making this final presale phase potentially the last chance to secure tokens before they hit the open market and face unlimited upside.

Among the best cryptos to buy now by a huge margin, Bitcoin Pepe is positioned to capitalize on the growing recognition that Bitcoin needs performance upgrades to match its soaring valuation.

Bitcoin’s ETF Momentum Creates Ideal Backdrop for Layer 2 Breakout

The Bitcoin ETF tsunami keeps smashing records daily. For those attempting to capitalize on Bitcoin’s probable ascent to $200K, the challenge lies not in deciding whether to invest but in identifying the optimal cryptocurrency to purchase at present, one that can yield substantial returns to surpass the potential returns of a basic ETF exposure.

Bitcoin Pepe offers something way more intriguing than vanilla Bitcoin funds. While institutional investors pile into ETFs for conservative gains, BPEP is targeting the massive potential that comes from fixing Bitcoin’s biggest flaw.

Bitcoin Pepe stands out due to its clear pitch and strict deadline. No endless fundraising, no moving goalposts—just “here’s what we’re building, here’s when it launches, get in now or miss it forever.”

As one of the most trending crypto projects in the Layer 2 space, it’s perfectly positioned to capitalize on Bitcoin’s success while solving its critical limitations. When this trending crypto hits exchanges with the full weight of a $2 trillion Bitcoin ecosystem behind it, today’s entry prices could look like prehistoric artifacts from a bygone era.

B&M is selling Salix Flamingo plants for only £10

People couldn’t believe their eyes after a fellow Flamingo Tree fan let everyone know in a Facebook group, Bargain Lovers, they were being sold for the cheapest price yet.

Delighted users started commenting and tagging their friends in.

One person wrote: “That’s a great price they are lovely shrubs so pretty.”

Meanwhile, another added: “Love these, £10, right bargain.”

Another let her friend know about the deal and simply said “quick”.

The pink Salix Flamingo Trees, known for their brightly-coloured foliage, are just £10.

They are also selling small hedge plants which were being sold for £4 last year.

They’re the cheapest on the market right now, with B&Q selling its 17cm trees for a pricier £24.99.

If you can’t find the Flamingo Tree in B&M, The Range is also selling them for £15.

Wilko‘s deal on the plant, like B&Q, is also more expensive than The Range, charging £17 for a 40cm tree.

5 ways to save money in B&M

On eBay you would have to pay £9.95 for a mini plant – an amount which could almost get you three when shopping at B&M.

It comes as a reminder to always compare prices before buying a product, which you can do through websites like Trolley.

The flamingo plants are currently unavailable to view online – meaning you’ll have to visit your local store to see if they stock it.

It’s important to bear in mind that prices may vary between locations.

If you want to find your nearest B&M store, you can use the Store Finder tool on its website.

They have 280 outdoor plants and trees to browse online, such as a rose bush for £23.99.

You can also buy a Malus Golden Delicious apple tree for £44.99, or lemon trees for £25.

Alternatively, if you’re looking for indoor plants for your home, you could save money in the long run by knowing what to buy.

Ways to save money at B&M

One of the best ways to save money at B&M is by using the retailer’s Scanner App.

It is free to download onto your smartphone via the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Once downloaded, you can use the camera on your phone to scan product barcodes around stores.

The app then tells you the true price of that product, which is sometimes much lower than the price tag says it is.

One shopper used the app to get a £10 long hot water bottle for just 10p, while other customers have found a host of other 10p bargains.

Another quick way to cut costs is by visiting at the right time.

One ex-manager told The Sun this is around 10am on a Wednesday, when staff slash the price of items to as little as 10p to clear excess stock and make way for new products.

Deals expert Tom Church said to keep an eye out for red sticker products as well.

It’s worth signing up to Facebook pages dedicated to hunting for bargains from B&M and other discounters too.

Two worth joining are B&M Bargains, Extreme Money Saving Deals and More and Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group.

The 52p Asda buy you need to nab that will keep rats out of your garden for good this spring -they can’t stand the smell

A GARDENING expert has revealed a simple 52 trick to keep rats out of your garden.

With temperatures soaring again this weekend, many of us have likely spent as much time as we can soaking up the sun in the garden.

Brown rat peering from a garden wall.

Rats can cause a real nuisance in your gardenCredit: Alamy

But there’s nothing worse than settling down in your favourite deck chair with a cup of tea and a good book, only to spot a pesky rat peering out from behind the bushes.

Not only are the critters dirty and unsightly, but they can also wreak havoc on your home and garden, and can even carry harmful diseases.

Although your first thought might be to put down poison or use traps, there are a number of natural methods you can try instead, which are cheaper.

Additionally, rat poison is toxic to pets and this method doesn’t eliminate the problem, as more rats will continue to flock to your garden.

Instead, experts urge trying out natural tricks to remove the unwanted pests.

Glenlivet Wildlife’s animal authority, Sam Bryant advised homeowners to plant, plants that rats hate the smell of.

He said: “Incorporating rat-repellent plants into the garden can serve as a natural deterrent.

“These plants possess odours or tastes that rats find unpleasant.”

Mint

Mint has a potent aroma, which sensitive-nosed rodents despise.

The strong odour can also disguise the scent of other foods, making rats think that there’s nothing worth eating in the garden.

Tips and Tricks to Keep Your Garden Pest-Free

Sam said: “Plant mint around the perimeter of the garden or near vulnerable plants to repel rats with its strong scent.”

You can pick up mint from Asda for as little as 52p.

Marigolds

Another scent that rats can’t stand, is that of Marigolds.

Sam explained: “Marigolds emit an odour that rats find unpleasant. Planting them alongside vegetables or flowers can provide an added layer of protection.

Keep pests out all summer

IF you want to ensure that your home is pest free this summer, here’s what you need to know.

Hornets and wasps – hate the smell of peppermint oil so spraying this liberally around your patio or balcony can help to keep them at bay.

Moths – acidic household white vinegar is effective for deterring moths. Soak some kitchen roll in vinegar and leave it in your wardrobe as a deterrent.

Flying ants – herbs and spices, such as cinnamon, mint, chilli pepper, black pepper, cayenne pepper, cloves, or garlic act as deterrents.

Mosquitoes – plants, herbs and essential oil fragrances can help deter mozzies inside and out. Try eucalyptus, lavender and lemongrass.

“Their bright blooms also add aesthetic appeal to the garden.”

The expert added that the beautiful colours of the flowers act as a visual deterrent for wary rodents .

Daffodils

One of the key symbols of spring, the daffodil, is also a natural deterrent for rats.

Not only are they repelled by the strong odour of the stunning flowers, the alkaloids within the plants are poisonous to the rodents.

Sam said: “Rats are known to dislike the taste and smell of daffodils. Strategically planting these bulbs can help deter them.”

“Daffodils can be planted around the garden perimeter or interspersed among vulnerable plants to create a deterrent effect.”

Best Crypto to Buy Now as Bitcoin Taps $97K

Bitcoin has surged 2.3% today to hit the $97,000 mark, stoking massive excitement in the market.

This move pushed the total crypto industry market cap back above $3 trillion, which is close to its 30-day high.

But Bitcoin’s strength also allows altcoins to rally at a higher rate due to their lower market capitalizations. As such, traders seeking to maximize their gains may be better served investing in altcoins rather than directly in Bitcoin.

With that in mind, what is the best crypto to buy now? Read on to discover our top four picks.

Litecoin

Litecoin is a Bitcoin fork that offers faster and lower-cost transactions. As Bitcoin shows strength today, Litecoin is gaining real pace.

It’s the biggest gainer in the top 100 cryptos, with a whopping 11% gain in the past 24 hours. This is also helped by progress with its spot ETF applications.

While Litecoin is built using the same blockchain framework and underlying verification method as Bitcoin, there are some key differences. Mainly, it comes down to decentralization and scalability.

Litecoin uses a hashing function called Scrypt to verify transactions. It uses the same SHA-256 framework as Bitcoin but requires much more memory, which makes it less vulnerable to certain types of ASIC attacks.

Meanwhile, Litecoin also reduced the block time from Bitcoin’s 10 minutes to 2.5 minutes, which makes the network faster.

The project currently has a market cap of $6.9 billion, which is substantially lower than Bitcoin’s.

With what appears to be major technological upgrades and a much lower market cap than Bitcoin, Litecoin is well-positioned to continue rising alongside Bitcoin this year.

BTC Bull Token

BTC Bull Token is a Bitcoin-themed meme coin on the Ethereum blockchain. But that’s not why it could be the best crypto to buy. The real reason is that it’s the first-ever cryptocurrency to pay its holders Bitcoin rewards.

Picture this: you’re holding a Bitcoin-themed meme coin and Bitcoin begins to break key price targets, $100K, $150K, $200K, and so on. Naturally, your meme coin is going parabolic. Bitcoin holders are getting rich and looking for ways to compound their gains, so they’re investing.

But at the same time, you’re also receiving $BTC airdrops to your crypto wallet. That’s precisely what BTC Bull Token offers.

It will run $BTC and $BTCBULL airdrops at key Bitcoin price milestones, starting when Bitcoin hits $100K. These airdrops will continue with every $50K price increase until Bitcoin hits $1 million.

The project is undergoing a presale and has raised $5.3 million so far.

But with Bitcoin currently trading above $97K, those seeking to catch the $100K airdrop should not wait around to buy $BTCBULL.

Kaito

Kaito is an AI-powered platform that pulls data from thousands of sources, allowing users to research specific cryptocurrencies, topics, and narratives.

The crypto industry moves fast, and real-time market intelligence is the only way to remain competitive, making Kaito a crucial tool.

It offers a variety of features, including MetaSearch, Sentiment Tracking, Smart Alerts, narrative rotations, and more.

This allows users to identify emerging trends and protect their capital by understanding whether any positions they hold are fading out.

The $KAITO token is used for governance, market incentives, and value exchange within the ecosystem. And right now, it’s in huge demand.

It has gained 29% in the last day, making it the biggest gainer in the top 200 cryptos by market cap.

With a strong use case and real momentum, Kaito appears primed for serious gains in the coming months.

Alpaca Finance

Alpaca Finance increased fivefold earlier this week, but it crashed as quickly as it rose.

However, bulls have once again taken control of the market, and now $ALPACA is at a 104% premium from this time 24 hours ago. Granted, the project is seeing wild volatility right now, but after hitting highs of $1 earlier this week, it has room for massive upside from its current $0.37 price tag.

While not without risk, there’s every chance that $ALPACA rockets back to its weekly high and potentially beyond, providing investors with over a 2x gain from its current price.

Alpaca Finance is a BNB Chain DeFi project that enables “leveraged yield farming.” It allows users to lend crypto and earn leveraged yields, making it more profitable than the leading lending platforms like Aave.

Something else that makes Alpaca Finance unique is that it offers undercollateralized loans, which was previously a far-off dream for the blockchain industry.

Despite its volatile price performance, Alpaca Finance appears to have a solid, long-term use case.

Best Meme Coins To Buy: Traders Betting on These Tokens for Game-Changing Returns

Traders are taking big bets on meme coins right now as market conditions point toward an upcoming bullish rally.

Bitcoin is back above $96K, and Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and Pepe are all in the green today. However, these tokens have been substantially outpaced by some other meme coins.

This article looks at the best meme coins to buy now based on what traders are betting on.

Popcat

Popcat is a cat-themed meme on the Solana blockchain. It gained a staggering 200% this month, reflecting its immense support among traders.

But despite its recent strength, Popcat is currently 80% below its $2.07 all-time high, leaving plenty of upside potential for the coming weeks.

The current price is $0.4 and analyst TPN believes that if it holds this level, then it will soon rally to $1.

While Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and Pepe are in the green today, they’re red this week. Meanwhile, Popcat has gained 10%.

Its strength across this week indicates that this is where the market’s attention lies right now. That could have bullish implications in the weeks ahead.

MIND of Pepe

Pepe is the third-largest meme coin and even stands above US President Donald Trump’s official meme coin, OFFICIAL TRUMP. It’s also the largest meme coin to emerge this cycle, and it continues to generate strong community support.

But investing directly in Pepe mightn’t yield the biggest returns; MIND of Pepe could be one of the best ways to capitalize on Pepe’s star power.

MIND of Pepe is a Pepe-themed AI agent that can scan the market to identify trading opportunities and even launch it on tokens.

$MIND holders will get exclusive access to the agent’s trend analysis, and also insider information on token launches.

The MIND of Pepe team will launch a social media agent on 10 May, marking the first crucial development in the project’s journey.

It’s currently undergoing a presale and has raised $8.8 million so far. However, this will end on 30 May.

Given its early stage, real utility, and ties to Pepe, MIND of Pepe could certainly be one of the best cryptos to buy now.

Turbo

Turbo is another AI meme coin showing massive strength right now.

The project markets itself as the first-ever AI meme coin, having been ideated by a generative AI model.

For most of its life cycle, Turbo lacked any real utility, it was more focused on pure memetics. But that changed recently.

The project is launching TurboChain, a Near Protocol-based blockchain that supports AI applications. This marks a shift from an entertainment-focused meme coin to a value-focused ecosystem.

It helps separate Turbo from all peers, and that’s causing its price to soar. Turbo currently trades at $0.0055, up 16% this week and 271% this month.

Like Popcat and MIND of Pepe, this strength indicates that more gains could be on the horizon.

Just a chill guy

Just a Chill Guy is a meme coin based on a viral meme that spread on TikTok and other social media applications in late 2024.

The $CHILLGUY meme coin exploded after launching on the open market, reaching a valuation of over $500 million.

Amidst the broader crypto market crash in Q1, Just a Chill Guy lost around 90% of its value. However, as prices recovered, it has proved one of the top performers.

It’s up 30% today and 150% this month. But one of the reasons the $CHILLGUY has real potential is that it’s based on a mainstream meme.

It’s instantly recognisable for non-native crypto users. So as crypto adoption increases throughout the bull market, $CHILLGUY could find itself in high demand with industry newcomers seeking something easily understandable.

This article is for informational purposes only and does not provide financial advice. Cryptocurrencies are highly volatile, and the market can be unpredictable. Always perform thorough research before making any cryptocurrency-related decisions.

Best Crypto to Buy as Bitcoin Passes $99K Following US Trade Deal Progress

Bitcoin just broke back above $99,000 as the crypto market reacts to some pretty big geopolitical news. After Trump teased a “major trade deal” with a “highly respected” country, traders took it as a sign that global tensions might ease up.

That’s been a weight on risk assets for weeks, so this shift could spike demand. If you’re looking for the best crypto to buy while momentum builds, a few altcoins are looking primed to take off.

Is Bitcoin Heading for $100K as Trade Deal Buzz Lifts Markets?

Bitcoin is now sitting at $99,500, its highest point since the late-January squeeze, and things look bullish. Spot volumes have exploded by 51% overnight, and futures open interest has sailed back above $30 billion, telling us there’s real capital – not just retail trader FOMO – behind the move.

The catalyst is simple enough: tariff-relief hopes. As mentioned above, when President Trump jumped on Truth Social and promised a major trade deal, traders instantly re-priced the risk spectrum. Less tariff heat means fewer supply-chain issues, a weaker dollar and, in theory, larger corporate margins.

These are conditions that push investors out of safe-haven assets and into high-beta plays like crypto. The opposite happened last month. Trump’s tariffs on China caused Bitcoin to drop from $88,000 to $74,000 in a few days. Tariffs create uncertainty – and uncertainty is bad for crypto.

Now that things are flipping, sentiment is changing fast. That’s what we’re seeing with Bitcoin: a 3% jump in 24 hours and a 25% rally over the past month as traders get excited about easing global trade tensions.

And this could also be great news for the rest of the crypto market. When Bitcoin rallies, liquidity inevitably spills into smaller-cap coins. So if Bitcoin breaks above $100,000 on the back of this news, the same optimism could prompt outsized moves in altcoins that haven’t yet capitalized.

Overall, conditions are looking bullish for crypto. We could be on the verge of another Bitcoin-led bull run if momentum keeps building.

What Are the Best Cryptos to Buy if Bitcoin Breaks $100K?

If Bitcoin does break above $100,000, history suggests it won’t be the only crypto to rally. Here are four altcoins that could take advantage and deliver some serious gains.

1. Solaxy (SOLX)

Solaxy (SOLX) might be one of the best cryptos to buy if Bitcoin keeps rising. The project’s presale has raised $33.6 million, making it the largest Solana-based ICO to date – and it isn’t slowing down. But why all the excitement?

It’s because Solaxy is building the first Solana Layer-2 using rollup tech, promising speeds up to 10,000 transactions per second (TPS) while still using Solana’s base layer for security. That’s faster than Solana itself, and way faster than Ethereum’s Layer-2s like Base or Arbitrum.

Solaxy basically offers security and scalability without compromising on utility. Its testnet has already processed over a million transactions since going live. There are also plans to create a cross-chain bridge to Ethereum – something crypto analyst ClayBro is hyped about.

If Bitcoin’s surge continues to bring fresh capital to the crypto market, early-stage altcoins like Solaxy could be first in line to explode.

2. Bitcoin Cash (BCH)

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) has a habit of trailing just behind Bitcoin – then suddenly taking off when Bitcoin experiences a bull run. As Bitcoin heads toward $100,000, BCH is already seeing a boost thanks to its tight correlation and shared infrastructure.

It’s cheaper, faster, and easier to spend than Bitcoin, making it an easy target for traders rotating profits or chasing altcoins that haven’t yet pumped. Plus, given its familiar name, Bitcoin Cash often attracts retail interest during BTC breakouts – especially from beginner investors.

As liquidity floods the market again, legacy forks like BCH tend to benefit. If Bitcoin keeps rising, BCH could move fast, just like it has many times in the past.

3. Balance (EPT)

Balance (EPT) could be one of the best cryptos to buy if you have a high risk tolerance. It’s a low-cap altcoin – ranked outside the top 700 – with a tiny price tag and wild swings. But that’s exactly the kind of setup that can lead to big profits during a crypto rally.

When Bitcoin runs, money tends to spill into low-cap altcoins as traders seek larger returns, and EPT’s small price tag makes it an appealing option. Plus, with only 24% of the supply in circulation, there’s room for price movement if demand ramps up.

Of course, Balance isn’t without its risks. The team is anonymous, and no detailed roadmap or whitepaper exists. But that doesn’t always matter in a hot market – making EPT another hidden gem to consider buying.

4. Stacks (STX)

Stacks (STX) is built to expand what Bitcoin can already do. As a Bitcoin Layer-2, Stacks lets developers build smart contracts, DeFi, and NFTs that settle back to the Bitcoin blockchain, giving BTC some serious utility beyond just “digital gold.”

STX has already jumped 9% in the past 24 hours and, with daily volume above $180 million, it’s gaining traction. Its unique “Stacking” system also rewards holders in Bitcoin, which becomes a much more attractive feature as Bitcoin approaches $100,000.

Add in the recent Nakamoto upgrade – bringing faster transactions and sBTC integration – and you’ve got a project that’s tightly linked to Bitcoin’s success. It’s another exciting crypto to consider buying if you’re looking for outsized growth.

Conclusion

Whether Trump’s trade deal turns out to be transformative or just more noise, Bitcoin’s push toward $100,000 has already flipped sentiment. If it breaks through that level, we could see money flow back into altcoins – especially the ones with strong narratives.

Stacks looks solid, Bitcoin Cash is gaining attention, and Solaxy’s record-breaking presale is one to keep an eye on for those seeking even higher potential returns. As always, do your own research and only invest what you’re willing to lose.

Best used family car UK: I’m a used car pro with a family, THIS is the model I’d buy in 2025

KIDS are a privilege, but it doesn’t always feel that way when you’re trying to park your car and everyone is screaming at you.

Unless you’re in the centre of London, a family car is a vital expense, but when time and money are tight, what should you buy?

best-used-family-car-uk-2025

6

The best family car should be affordable, reliable and practical. You can spend anything from a few thousand pounds to an average annual salary on a family car.

You’ll need to choose wisely to avoid getting stuck with something that won’t work for you and your family.

I’ve driven and owned a wide variety of family cars, from an 8-seater camper van to a compact SUV and am happy to share my insights into what makes a good (and bad family car).

We can’t stop the kids screaming, sand getting everywhere and running out of space if your next pregnancy involves triplets, but here’s our choice of the best family cars.

Used family cars: What is a family car?

There’s no definition of a family car in any book that we can find, but common sense suggests these things are essential to families:

  • Most family cars have 5 doors with enough space in the rear for kids’ car seats
  • Decent boot space for prams, shopping, bikes and any other hobby you can think of
  • A high NCAP safety rating (they’re the most precious thing you’ll ever have to protect, after all)
  • Large families (those with more than three children and two adults) will need a people carrier

Your family will have its own list of requirements.

In fact, before buying a used family car, it’s a good idea to write these down as it can help you in your search.

Is it safe to buy a used family car?

Used cars should be just as safe as buying a new car. You can check out the NCAP rating of how safe any car is here

Be aware that the ratings have recently changed and are *really* strict. Even a 4-star rating can be much stronger and safer than older cars.

What’s important is to buy one from a dealer that you can trust.

This will ensure that your car is safe and ready to go, with most used cars sold with a brand new MOT with all issues sorted out.

Where can I buy a used family car?

Starting to search for a family car? Sun Motors is the best place to pick up a safe, solid, and reliable runaround.

You can find everything from low-cost family cars to high-performance Range Rovers.

When you buy from a Sun Motors dealer, you’ve got the confidence you’re getting a car that has been checked over by a professional.

You’ll also find that many dealers offer warranties, too, giving you protection if anything does go wrong.

Yes, you’ll pay a premium when you buy from a dealer. For our money, it’s worth it.

Best family cars for sale on Sun Motors

This is an entirely subjective list of the best used family cars for sale in the UK today.

Remember, your family will have its own unique needs, so take time to choose a car that works for you

Best all-round family used car: Skoda Karoq

best-used-family-car-uk-2025

6

Model: Skoda Karoq

If you want a family car that will deliver 10 years or more of reliable motoring, the Skoda Karoq is our choice.

The family-friendly SUV delivers on the road with fantastic visibility and excellent in-car extras.

Driving is quiet, fuel economy is high and handling is light, making it a breeze to navigate in tight spaces outside the school or in the supermarket car park.

It’s bigger than the Kamiq, which comes in handy when heading away on family holidays or carrying larger loads.

Skodas are known for reliability and can clock up high mileages if looked after.

Whether you’re ferrying your newborn baby back from the hospital or picking them up after their first time at the pub, the Karoq is our choice.

We’d go for the petrol-engined Skoda Karoq 1.5 TSI ACT SE, all for less than £15,000.

Best 7-seater family car used: VW Multivan

best-used-family-car-uk-2025

6

Model: VW Multivan

It’s not cheap, but the VW Multivan is a brilliant choice for those with a big family.

It’s everything you expect from a VW, including a bullet-proof diesel engine (if you want that) and exceptional build quality.

The internals are great too.

There’s nothing like the Multivan in the sector, says Car Magazine. Aside from the size, one of the benefits of the Multivan is its handling.

It doesn’t feel like a van at all, which is great – especially if you’re driving (as we do) in the city a lot.

You’ll need fairly deep pockets as the Multivan isn’t cheap. This petrol-powered Volkswagen Multivan 1.5 TSI comes in at £35,990. But as it’s a VW, used values will hold up well.

Best affordable family car UK used: Dacia Sandero Stepway

best-used-family-car-uk-2025

6

Model: Dacia Sandero Stepway

The Dacia Sandero is the best-selling car in Europe. Dacia started as a challenger brand, but its no-nonsense approach to motoring is winning fans across the continent.

It’s a pretty simple car, which works in its favour as there’s less to go wrong.

The turbocharged 0.9 litre engine is surprisingly good, because the car is so light.

It’s not fast or big, but it’s economical and affordable. We prefer the Stepway model because it features an elevated driving position that gives a great view of the road.

It’s a fairly joyless driven but it’s quiet, easy to handle and powerful enough. The interior features a lot of plastic, which is easy to clean and maintain. Trust us, you’ll welcome that.

Oh, and you can buy one like this 2017 model Dacia Sandero Stepway for less than £5,000.

Best used small family car: SEAT LEON

best-used-family-car-uk-2025

6

Model: SEAT LEON

The SEAT LEON is basically a VW Golf, but a bit cheaper. The FR model (our choice) features a much more refined in-car experience, although the suspension can feel a little hard to some.

The LEON isn’t an out-and-out family car like, say, the Skoda Octavia is.

That can be a plus point. Once you’ve dropped the kids off at school you can (almost) convince yourself you’re driving a cool hatch (if you ignore the car seats in the back).

You’ll struggle to get two growing teenagers in the back, but it’s still a great small family car. This 2019 SEAT LEON 1.5 TSI EVO FR is a snip at £10,495.

Best used family car under 10k: Ford Focus

best-used-family-car-uk-2025

6

Model: Ford Focus

This should really be the Dacia Sandero as that’s available for much less than £10,000, but as we’ve already featured it, we’ll go for the next favourite: Ford Focus.

It couldn’t be a family car list without the Focus. It’s such a familiar sight on the roads because it’s just such a practical and functional car, as you’d expect from a Ford.

There are far too many options and variations to list, but if you’re looking for a cheap family car, check out this beautiful blue Ford Focus 1.0T EcoBoost Titanium for a few quid under £8,500.

Buying a used car? Check out Sun Motors and find your next vehicle today. Whether you’re looking for automatic, manual or electric, use Sun Motors to decide on your next model.

The paddling pool is a massive hit with kids

Priced at as little as £7.50 – down from £15 – Argos’s kids paddling pool holds up to 26 litres and takes as little as 5 minutes to inflate.

The Bestway 3ft Sunny Days Shade Paddling Pool is flying off shelves as parents rush to nab the “soft” inflatable pool in time for this week’s hike in temperature.

Measuring 101x97x20cm and is designed for children over the age of 2 under the direct supervision of an adult.

Featuring a smiling sunshine design, the pool promises “guaranteed delight” to little ones.

It also has a UV sunshade providing a safe space for kids to splash around in out of the sun.

Delighted parents have called the paddling pool “great value for money” with one saying it makes for some “really cute photos”.

One said: “Loved this for our one year old, sun shade and low level water was perfect.”

Whilst another added: “I was lucky enough to get this in the sale and I’m so pleased with it.

“To be honest I’d buy it at full price. My daughter loves it. Easy to set up too!”

This bargain buy comes just in time for the heatwave forecast this week, with temperatures expected to reach 25C.

Scotland to Enjoy Three Weeks of Sunshine with 25°C Heatwave

The Met Office has forecast glorious conditions with highs of up to 29C by Wednesday and Thursday.

Sunny spells are due to grace large parts of Britain, with some light rain expected in northern Scotland.

Met Office meteorologist Craig Snell said: “We’re certainly on track to see the warmest spell of the year so far.”

He added how the conditions are higher than average for this time of year.

At the end of April it is usually about 12C in the north and 16C in the south, so some areas could be more than 10C higher than the average.

But records for April and May are unlikely to be broken as the highest temperature for April stands at 29.4C, and May’s record is 32.8C.

Met Office Chief Forecaster Matthew Lehnert said: “We are not expecting the April UK temperature record to be broken, but some locations may nudge local records.

“Often warm spells are driven by warmer air arriving from further south, but the origins of next week’s air are from Scandinavia and central Europe.

“This air mass will be warmed by compression as the high pressure begins to build, and this warmth will be boosted by daytime heating from the April sun.”

Travel con that forces you to ‘panic buy’ and spend more than you should on holiday

Booking a holiday can be a stressful experience, and travel companies know just how to panic you into booking fast without thinking. Here are the six most common scams to look out for

Over the shoulder view of young Asian woman shopping online for flight tickets on airline website with laptop, entering credit card details to make mobile payment at home. Camera and passport on the table. Travel planning. Booking a holiday online
Save money by booking smart(Image: d3sign via Getty Images)

Planning a summer holiday abroad can be a daunting task, with the cost of flights and accommodation quickly adding up. To make matters worse, booking companies often use clever marketing tactics to pressure you into making a hasty decision.

Mark Baldwin, CEO of Baldwin Digital, has revealed six common scams to watch out for – and how to avoid them.

One tactic used by hotel websites is to create a false sense of urgency. Those “only 3 rooms left at this price” or “12 people looking at this hotel right now” alerts are designed to trigger your fear of missing out.

However, Mark warns that these notices are often misleading. “They might be technically true, but they’re designed to create a false sense of scarcity,” he explains.

To avoid falling for this trick, try searching for the same hotel on multiple booking sites. You’ll often find similar or better rates elsewhere without the artificial scarcity, reports the Express.

Another tactic used by booking sites is to create a sense of urgency with countdown timers next to special offers or deals. However, Mark reveals that these are rarely accurate.

“Most of these so-called limited-time deals aren’t actually limited,” he says. “They’re programmed to reset or show different timeframes to different users.”

Avoid the pressure of a ‘limited time offer’ by taking a screenshot of the deal and checking back in a day or two.

More often than not, you’ll find the same offer still available days later. Another trick is to use incognito windows to track deals and compare prices without cookies.

Another way websites squeeze more money out of you is through dynamic pricing. If you’re repeatedly searching for the same destination, travel sites will often increase the price.

Matt warned: “Travel sites often use cookies to track your interest and adjust prices based on your online behaviour.”

This strategy exploits your invested time and growing attachment to a specific trip, making you more likely to accept a higher price rather than start your search anew.

One way to dodge this is by using incognito sites for your browsing so you aren’t tracked by cookies. Even better, use a VPN to hide your location, as prices can fluctuate depending on where you’re booking from.

Websites also try to extract more money from you by pre-selecting optional extras and automatically adding them to your total. Common add-ons include travel insurance, seat selection or priority boarding.

Matt revealed: “Companies know most consumers won’t uncheck these boxes,” Baldwin explains. “It’s called the ‘default effect’ – we tend to stick with the pre-selected options. These add-ons can increase your initial price by 15-30 percent.”

Ensure you scrutinise your total carefully at checkout and deselect any add-ons you didn’t choose. The age-old saying ‘too good to be true’ certainly applies when it comes to booking flights and hotels.

Matt warned: “Budget airlines pioneered this technique by advertising bare-bones prices that don’t include basics like checked luggage or seat selection. Hotels do it too, showing rates that don’t include taxes, resort fees, or parking.”

To dodge hidden costs, always proceed to the final checkout page on various websites to compare the real prices. But beware of another pitfall – deceptive price comparisons.

Travel websites often boast about the savings you’re supposedly making compared to a higher rate – but take these with a pinch of salt.

Matt explained: “Those crossed-out rates might represent the highest possible price that room ever sold for, perhaps during a major holiday or event.

“Or they might compare a standard room to a deluxe room, making it seem like you’re getting a deal when you’re actually looking at different products.”

To sidestep this ruse, concentrate on the actual price you’ll pay, rather than the purported discount.

Best Crypto to Buy Now as Altcoin Prices Explode

Bitcoin has just hit $93,500, its highest price since early March – and traders are buzzing.

It has increased by 5.7% today and by 12% this week. Easing macroeconomic concerns and rising institutional adoption sparked the rally.

Donald Trump promised to drop tariffs on Chinese imports “substantially,” and a new report from The Financial Times reveals that Cantor Fitzgerald, SoftBank, Bitfinex, and Tether are entering a $3 billion joint venture to form a crypto acquisition company.

The move reportedly aims to replicate the playbook of Michael Saylor’s Strategy, hence focused on long-term Bitcoin accumulation.

It’s sending the Bitcoin price soaring – and altcoins are riding the bullish wave. With that in mind, what are the best crypto to buy now?

BTC Bull Token

With rising institutional interest, Bitcoin is well-positioned for huge capital inflows in the coming months. This will make holders richer and provide additional resources (in fiat terms) to generate wealth.

Many holders may look for ways to compound their Bitcoin, either to increase their long-term holdings or to cash out some bull market gains.

Right now, one of the smartest ways to generate Bitcoin yield is BTC Bull Token. It’s branded like a Bitcoin-themed meme coin, but the project is built on an innovative token incentive model.

It tracks Bitcoin’s price and will distribute $BTC and $BTCBULL to holders at key milestones on its journey to $1 million, starting when it hits $100K. The project will run additional airdrops at $150K, $200K, $250K, and so on.

BTC Bull Token also has a staking mechanism that allows holders to stake their tokens for additional passive rewards, and there’s a burn mechanism, too. Burning periodically destroys a portion of the $BTCBULL supply at Bitcoin price milestones, increasing the asset’s scarcity and value.

It takes Bitcoin’s scarcity dynamics and adds real Bitcoin yield and memetic branding – it’s an industry first with serious potential.

The project is undergoing a presale and has raised over $4 million so far.

Considering billions, or even trillions of dollars, will flow into the Bitcoin ecosystem this year, there’s clearly substantial growth potential for $BTCBULL presale buyers.

Hyperliquid

The crypto market’s 24-hour trading volume is $133 billion, up 49% today. This reflects more activity as traders take new positions to maximize gains.

One cryptocurrency set to capitalize on this is Hyperliquid, a layer 1 blockchain focused on decentralized perpetual futures trading.

The project offers a futures exchange with fiat on-ramping, low latency, low fees, and high speeds. It’s among the most advanced DeFi products on the market.

As the bull market ensues and trading activity increases, Hyperliquid will attract more users, which will increase demand for $HYPE and cause its price to rise.

This is evident in the past week, with $HYPE proving a top performer with a 26% gain, outpacing most other large-cap cryptos. We could well see this trend continue in the coming months.

Stacks

As mentioned, Bitcoin yield is an attractive concept for many Bitcoin holders, and alongside BTC Bull Token, Stacks is another way to access it.

Stacks is a Bitcoin layer 2 blockchain that’s faster and cheaper than the Bitcoin main network. However, people mainly use Stacks because it’s smart contract-enabled. This means developers can launch applications on the network, many of which are focused on Bitcoin-centered decentralized finance, dubbed BTCFI.

Like BTC Bull Token, Stacks will pay its users native BTC rewards, rather than wrapped BTC, which is offered on alternative blockchains such as Sui and Ethereum. This adds an extra layer of security and ensures alignment with Bitcoin’s core values.

Stacks has also proved one of the best-performing cryptos this week with a 38% pump. It’s currently valued at $1.2 billion, but there’s certainly substantial room for growth considering that Bitcoin has a $1.9 trillion market cap.

Best Meme Coins to Buy as Crypto Prices Go Parabolic: Bonk Up 26%, Dogwifhat 30%

The crypto market is exploding today, with prices across the board deep into the green. However, the meme coin market is making the biggest gains.

Bonk is up 26%, Dogwifhat 30%, and dozens of smaller meme coins are up 50% or more.

The move is driven by a bullish Bitcoin performance, with the market leading asset gaining 5% to hit $93K for the first time in six weeks.

Bitcoin is finally breaking out, so it appears that meme coin investors will continue reaping lucrative rewards in the weeks ahead. With this in mind, what are the best meme coins to buy now?

MIND of Pepe

One of the overarching themes today is that AI meme coins are exploding. Zerebro has gained 162%, Turbo has gained 69%, and ai16z has gained 35%.

But looking ahead, one of the project’s which could lead this space is MIND of Pepe. It’s a viral presale raising funds to build an AI agent that identifies trading opportunities and can even launch its own projects.

The presale has raised over $8 million so far, showing real market appeal. However, it remains in its early stages and looks like it’ll launch on the market at the perfect time. This sets it up for serious growth.

The MIND of Pepe agent will autonomously scan the crypto market to identify trends, consolidating them into actionable insights and sharing them with its community. And if it finds any gaps in the market, it can launch its own tokens to fill them.

With Pepe-themed branding and tangible AI utility, MIND of Pepe could see big growth potential in the coming months.

Floki

Floki is another meme coin with real utility. It’s a Viking-themed project with a Play-to-Earn game, DeFi app, staking, and NFTs.

Currently, Floki is the eighth-largest meme coin and the third-largest with real utility, behind Shiba Inu and Bonk.

However, Floki’s focus on real adoption separates it from the other two utility-focused meme coins. Floki often launches marketing campaigns to increase product usage.

For instance, it partnered with eSports teams and Premier League soccer team Nottingham Forest last year to promote the launch of Floki Valhalla.

This focus on real-world marketing could help attract new crypto users to Floki, causing its price to soar as the bull market advances.

Myro

There’s no denying that the Solana ecosystem is the go-to for meme coin trading, but right now, the biggest opportunity may not be in Bonk or Dogwifhat – it may not even be in Solana-based AI meme coins.

The biggest opportunity might be Myro, an OG Solana meme coin which appears to be in the early innings of an immense recovery.

When Solana meme coin season first started in Q4 of 2023, Myro was the second-largest meme coin behind Bonk. However, increased competition and “shiny object syndrome” drew people away from Myro and into competitors like Dogwifhat.

Yet, with thousands of Solana meme coins having launched since then, Myro’s OG status is a moat which cannot be replicated and, thus, provides potential to outperform this year.

Its price has surged 79% today but remains 95% below its all-time high. Its recent strength indicates that its uptrend will continue, and the space to reclaim its ATH leaves massive room for gains.

Fartcoin

While meme coin prices across the board are pumping today, Fartcoin frontran the rally. It’s been undergoing its own bull market for weeks.

Even earlier this month when despair swept the traditional financial markets, Fartcoin still made gains.

And today, it’s continuing its explosive streak with a 9.6% gain. And it’s already up over 4x from its price six weeks ago.

The fact that Fartcoin has already rallied so much while most meme coins are just waking up indicates that it could continue to lead the market in the months ahead.

It’s also one of the projects with the strongest mindshare right now, with both meme coin degens and respected smart money traders showing interest.

Bournemouth: Cherries agree deal to buy back Vitality Stadium

Bournemouth technical director Simon Francis says they could “end up being a victim of our own success” this summer with clubs wanting their players.

The Cherries are eighth in the Premier League and have had some star performers this season, including defender Dean Huijsen.

“There will be bigger teams circling around and looking at some of our players,” Francis told BBC Radio Solent.

“There will be some situations we can’t control but there will be others that we can.

“I’m confident that if we finish well this season and that could mean European football, then the players will be excited about that. It would be historic.

“But there will also be some players that want to go and play for some of the biggest teams in the world and sometimes you can’t stand in their way.”

Spain international Huijsen, 20, is the subject of genuine interest from Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle.

The defender, a summer signing from Juventus, is thought to have a £50m release clause.

Francis added: “It will be a conversation for the summer. Of course, if you ask me then I think the best place for him over the next two and three years is here at Bournemouth. Play every single game, potentially in Europe and then take your pick of the clubs.”

Trump Tariffs: What products do the EU and US buy from each other? | Donald Trump News

The United States buys $235.6bn more in goods than it sells to the 27 countries that make up the European Union (EU).

That $236bn gap, known as the trade deficit, is something US President Donald Trump wants to reduce.

In an effort to close the gap, on April 2 the US imposed a 20 percent tariff on goods imported from the EU, aimed at reducing European exports to the US and encouraging domestic production.

In addition, the EU faces a 25 percent US tariff on steel, aluminium and cars.

In response, the EU decided to impose retaliatory tariffs on $23.8bn worth of US goods, with EU officials describing the US tariffs as “unjustified and damaging”.

What does the US sell to the EU?

In 2024, trade between the US and EU reached nearly $1 trillion, making the EU the biggest trading partner bloc for the US.

The US mainly exports fuels, pharmaceutical products, machinery and aircraft to the EU, according to the US International Trade Commission.

In 2024, the US sold $370.2bn worth of goods to the EU. The main exports include:

  • Mineral fuels ($78.9bn) accounting for 21.3 percent of total exports.
  • Pharmaceutical products ($39.4bn) accounting for 10.6 percent of exports.
  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances ($36.6bn) accounting for 9.9 percent of exports.
  • Aircraft, spacecraft and parts ($35.1bn) accounting for 9.5 percent of exports.
  • Optical, photographic and cinematographic equipment ($30.8bn) accounting for 8.3 percent of total exports.

What does the US buy from the EU?

The US mainly buys pharmaceutical products from the EU, as well as mechanical appliances, cars and other non-railway vehicles.

(Al Jazeera)

In 2024, the US bought $605.8bn worth of goods from the EU. The main imports include:

  • Pharmaceutical products ($127.8bn) accounting for 21 percent of total imports.
  • Nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery and mechanical appliances ($89.8bn) accounting for 14.8 percent of imports.
  • Cars and other non-railway vehicles ($60.3bn) accounting for 10 percent of imports.
  • Electrical equipment ($39.3bn) accounting for 6.5 percent of imports.
  • Optical, photographic and cinematographic equipment ($36.9bn) accounting for 6.1 percent of total imports.

Which US states import and export the most to the EU?

According to the US International Trade Administration, the midwestern state of Indiana buys the most of any other state from the EU. It bought $49.3bn worth of goods in 2024.

New Jersey imported the second-most goods from the EU, valued at $40.9bn, followed by North Carolina, which bought $39.6bn.

Texas leads the US in exports to the EU, selling $81.5bn worth of goods in 2024. California ranks second, with $28bn in sales, followed by Louisiana at $20.8bn.

Explore the table below to see which states import and export the most to and from the EU.

What does each US state sell most to the EU?

Aerospace products and parts are the top exports from the US to the EU, with 15 states reporting this category as their primary export. These states include Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Washington.

Aerospace products consist of complete aircraft and aircraft parts, with the US specifically exporting Boeing commercial aircraft and Lockheed Martin F-16 fighter jets to the EU.

What does each US state buy most from the EU?

Pharmaceuticals and medicines are the leading import for 11 US states, including Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

Motor vehicles and vehicle parts rank second, being the top import for eight states: Alabama, California, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, Rhode Island, South Carolina and Texas.

According to the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA), the US is the second-largest market for new EU vehicle exports after the UK, where the US accounted for 22 percent of the EU’s vehicle export market in 2024.

The Center for Automotive Research found that the Detroit Three automakers – General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis (formerly Chrysler) – will see an average cost of the tariff per vehicle for imported vehicle parts of $4,911, higher than the overall industry’s average of $4,239 per vehicle.

Buying a used Tesla? The CHEAPEST models to buy now including a Tesla Model Y for under 12K

WHEN most people think of an electric car, they think of a Tesla. The US brand is synonymous with sustainable driving.

While Elon Musk’s personal profile is taking a beating, his battery-powered electric vehicles continue to be the most popular electric cars in Europe. The brand is booming, and there are no signs of it slowing down.

Buying a battery-powered electric vehicle makes sense. They’re cheaper to run, energy-efficient, fast, and fun.

If you’ve only ever driven an ICE car, buying a used EV can be daunting, but it doesn’t need to be.

Sun Motors has hundreds of used Teslas for sale, including Model X, Model S, Model 3 and Model Y cars all at low prices from trusted dealers.

  • Lower cost per mile: A Tesla will cost around 8p per-mile to run, says Lease Plan. That’s much less than a petrol or diesel-powered car, at over 13p per mile.
  • Emissions-free: Battery-powered EVs release no harmful emissions, making them the environmentally friendly choice.

  • Latest technology: Is it a car or a spaceship? Tesla EVs are packed full of tech, making driving easier and more enjoyable.

  • Driving experience: Driving an EV is exciting, with near-instant torque, no gears, and almost no sound. Try it!
  • Supercharger network: Tesla owns and maintains the world’s largest EV supercharger network, making it easy to get a top up when needed.

Buying a used Tesla: What you need to know and how to decide which model is right for you

  • What model: You’ll find Model X, Model S, Model 3 and Model Y Teslas for sale. The choice depends on you, your budget, and the requirements you have for a car. We provide a basic breakdown below, so start there.
  • What age: Older cars are cheaper to buy, but you might run into more problems as components wear out. Fact that into your costs and plans.
  • Charging: Ensure you have the space for a Tesla home charger. Factor in installation costs to your calculations.
  • Battery health: Get the dealer to provide details on the health of any Tesla battery. (They can do this by following this Tesla guide.)
  • Finance: Buying a used Tesla with a finance agreement can help you spread the cost over several years, enabling you to get a better – and potentially more reliable – model.
  • Warranty: Ask your dealer about the warranty they offer and consider extending it for added peace of mind and protection.

Used Teslas for sale UK

The Tesla Model X is a hugely popular SUV-crossover that’s been in production since 2015.

NCAP ratings are strong, meaning it’s a safe car for families. The latest model boasts the world’s largest windshield.

That’s the sort of detail that Tesla drivers love. They also love the gull-wing doors, and we do too. Back to the Future, indeed.

Specifications have changed over the years, but expect all Model Xs to deliver around 300 miles on a full charge.

Top-spec, dual-motor models will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph very quickly (sub-5 seconds) and reach speeds over 150 mph.

Watch out for wear and tear, high mileage and vehicles that haven’t been properly cared for.

Used Tesla Model S

This TESLA MODEL S Hatchback 75D can be bought outright on Sun Motors for under 20K

Model: Tesla Model S

The Tesla Model S has been on sale in the UK since 2014 and is an established and respected electric vehicle. When buying a used Tesla S, steer clear of early versions that have experienced serious reliability issues.

More recent Tesla Model S cars are a great investment for the family or commuter. Current models only come in left hand drive, so we (and Which?) recommend you pick up a 2014-21 model.

The single motor Model S is suitable for most drivers, with a 60kWh battery and power unit kicking out 314bhp.

Older models may seem like bargains, but large lithium-ion car batteries can lose their health over time and can be incredibly expensive to replace.

This sleek, silver Tesla Model S 75D 5d 517 BHP provides an affordable entry into the EV world. It’s a low mileage motor in good condition, with enough power and performance to knock your socks off.

Used Tesla Model 3

This Tesla Model 3 is only six years old, with 68K miles on the clock and prices in under 15K.

Model: Tesla Model S

The Tesla Model 3 was a market leader on launch, but is rapidly being overtaken by cars from competitor brands, says Autotrader.

That doesn’t mean it’s a bad car, far from it. In fact, it means you can pick up a bit of a bargain Model 3.

It’s a highly competent and comfortable mid-level sedan car, which is at home on the commute as it is at the golf course or touring around Europe. Reliability is good, says Autotrader, with Model 3s more affordable than the Model S or Model X.

Performance is amazing, with Whatcar? calling it Tesla’s best ever vehicle.

The standard range will achieve almost 250 miles on a full charge. Expect to pay around £15,000 for a five-year-old car, such as this 2020 Tesla Model 3 70 Model 3 Standard.

Used Tesla Model Y

Sun Motors even hosts used cars like this 2024 Tesla Model Y, which only has 1,900 miles on the clock

Model: Tesla Model Y

The Tesla Model Y is another crossover-type vehicle (without the gull-wing doors!). It’s built on the Model 3 platform, with a large number of the same components, but with different styling.

That’s good news, because it means the Model Y is, like the Model 3, capable and reliable.

OK, so the latest version of the Model Y hasn’t got the best reviews, but the older versions have great handling, acceleration and precise steering.

Like all electric vehicles, go for a low mileage car with a full service history. You’ll pay around £25,000 for a two-year old model. With lots on the market, shop around and find the right spec and trim for you and your budget.

Our choice is this nearly new 2023 Tesla Model Y. It’s available at just under £30k and with under 5,000 miles on the clock, it’s almost brand new.

Used Tesla finance options

Teslas are cutting-edge cars with a similar price tag, right? You might think a Tesla will break the bank, but drivers can access a range of affordable finance options – including PCP and HP – that provide flexibility, enabling you to spread the cost of a Tesla car over several years.

Don’t believe us? Buy using PCP finance, and this low-mileage 2020 Tesla Model 3 comes in at less than £400 per month, for example.

Worried about your credit history? Don’t be. There are still ways you can buy a Tesla with bad credit.

Each application is judged on its own merits, with many Sun Motors lenders willing to consider those with poor credit.
