Huijsen release clause detail emerges

Arsenal are one of the many clubs to be linked wit an interest in Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen ahead of the transfer window.

Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg has now given more details over the centre-back’s £50million release clause.

It is said that the fee can be paid in three instalments, which could attract more interest.

Next up

The Gunners are not in action this weekend but their next game is a huge one.

Arsenal face PSG in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final next Tuesday.

Which club would suit Liam Delap best?

With just five Premier League games remaining this season, Ipswich Town are destined for the drop.

Should they lose to Newcastle on Saturday, the Tractor Boys will be relegated back to the Championship.

And that will almost guarantee the departure of sought-after forward Liam Delap amid interest from some of England’s top clubs.

But which club would be the best fit for him? SunSport has looked at what makes him so good and what he would bring to each team.

Walk in the park

In case you missed it, Mikel Arteta made a brief appearance on Sky Sports News the other day – while walking Arsenal’s club dog, Win.

Gunners ‘keen’ on signing Dean Huijsen

Arsenal hold a “strong” interest in signing Dean Huijsen this summer.

Transfer guru David Ornstein revealed: “It is strong & they remain in contention. They are among the clubs who have met his representatives, with Mikel Arteta & Andrea Berta keen to sign him.

“Whether or not Arsenal win the race is unclear because it’s still open & I’m not aware of a front runner between them, Chelsea & Liverpool to date.

“Previously, I think Kiwior exiting Arsenal was highly possible — that might be less certain following his rise to prominence. Either way, Huijsen would play a lot of football at Arsenal.

“Now, this doesn’t mean he will opt for them. There are pros & cons to each of the suitors, all of whom are ready to pay the release clause. Huijsen & Bournemouth want it sorted sooner rather than later.”
