Big Brother finalist Henry Southan has shared an update following the announcement earlier this week that he has now split up from his former co-star Jordan Sangha
Henry Southan has shared an update over the news that he has separated from Jordan Sangha. It was announced this week that the Big Brother finalists had split up, more than a year on from the pair having met on the reality TV show.
The former couple were housemates on the first series of ITV‘s revival of the show, which launched in October 2023. After six weeks in the Big Brother house together, Jordan, now 27, went on to win it, whilst Henry, now 26, placed third.
Since then, they have kept fans updated on their romance and it was announced earlier this week that they had split up after more than a year together. Henry then shared a message with fans on Tuesday night following the news.
In a channel on his Instagram page that evening, Henry wrote to fans: “Hello, I just wanted to say a genuine thank you for all the kind, thoughtful messages today. I’m trying not to look at too much online as it makes me anxious.”
He continued in the post: “Truthfully, I’m heartbroken. This was my first relationship, and it’s incredibly painful to see it come to an end. Today has been one of the hardest days of my life, but I’m hopeful that things will get better with time.”
Henry added in the message: “I know there’s always going to be chatter when something like this happens – all I’ll say is that I loved deeply, stayed true to myself, gave it everything I could, and I’m hurting a lot right now. Thank you again for all the kindess. It means more than you know.”
It comes after he had issued a statement confirming that he had split from Jordan. As reported at the time, Henry wrote: “After a lot of thought, Jordan and I have decided to go our separate ways. It’s incredible sad, and we’re both hurting, but we know it’s the right step. We’re so grateful for the love and support you’ve shown us – thank you. Please give us some space as we figure things out privately.”
Jordan also announced their separation on the platform, having shared a post that had the caption: “An unfortunate announcement.” He wrote in his statement: “After many times, memories, and precious experiences, Henry and I have parted ways. I want to thank everyone who has supported us. We will always remain close friends. Cheers x.”
Like his ex, Jordan has since shared an update with fans. He uploaded a video on TikTok on Wednesday in which he was seen getting ready for the day. He said in it: “Spend the day with me. Well, today. I hate to wallow in in self pity but I suppose I must be honest rather than use humour.”
He went on to share with viewers in the video: “I just wanted to thank everyone for all the messages and all the comments. It is a period of grieving and to be frank, because I usually am, it’s f***ing horrible. However, there’s little to be done in at present other than let my feelings play out.”
Jordan concluded by explaining why he was posting on the platform, before discussing his plans. He said: “You might be thinking ‘Jordan, if you’re so bloody depressed why are you making a social media video?’ Well, I suppose, first, other than write, I make content.”
He continued: “Secondly, not to sound self indulgent, but I know that people worry meaning I just thought I’d show myself. I’ll be back on my game soon and plan to go home to see my mum and, yeah, so it’s … we’ll get back from this.”
