A PRIVATE island in the UK used by famous celebs has gone on the market – and could be yours for a few million.
Osea Island, stretching across 380 acres in Essex, is connected to the mainland by an ancient causeway just twice a day.
The secluded nature of the island has since attracted a number of A-listers in recent years including Stormzy, Rihanna and Jude Law.
And the party island is now for sale for a cool £25million.
It has been owned by music producer Nigel Frieda since 2004, who has worked with both Sugababes and the Rolling Stones.
Listed on the Fine and Country website, the £25million sale includes “90 bedrooms” as well as the Roman Causeway, pub, and access visa boats and small aircraft.
Simon Pelling, of Fine and Country who have listed the island, said: “We already have several bids on it and some of them are in excess of the guide price.
“We see it going to operators who will use it in a similar way to how it is used now – as a venue, an event space or high-end letting facility.”
The island has even previously been dubbed the “English Necker Island,”
On the island are also two recording studios, which is why its so loved by singers.
Rihanna, Georga Ezra, The Weeknd and Stormzy have all used the studios.
Olly Murs also visited the island back in 2023 after getting married there, while celebs such as Poppy Delevigne, Sienna Miller and Jaime Winston have all partied on the island.
And both Jude Law and Daniel Radcliffe visited Osea Island as a filming location, for The Third Day and The Woman In Black, respectively.
While the island is private, members of the public can visit.
There are a number of houses and cottages that can be rented on the island.
The largest is the Manor House which sleeps up up to 20 people, while smaller cottages such as the Honey Pot sleeps four.
Prices start from £300 a night, but if you want to rent the whole island, you will need to splash out £35k.
With all of the accommodation self-catered, there is an island cafe.
Another tiny island off the coast of Plymouth could soon become a holiday resort.
And on the Thames is a private island that the public can visit twice a year for free.
