The busy mum revealed that one way to make your house smell great is to clean out your fridge.

After you have emptied it of food, scrub it clean with water and white vinegar.

Then, add two tablespoons of vanilla extract (which you can pick up from Aldi for 79p).

She said that this will deodorise the fridge and leave it smelling “so fresh”.

Chantel’s next hack is to clean out your oven using an oven dish filled with water and slices of lemon (you can pick lemons up from the supermarket for around 30p).

Then, while it’s still warm, use baking soda (65p from Aldi) to get rid of tough grease.

The lemon will make your kitchen smell citrusy and fresh.

Finally, cut up a lemon and sprinkle it with bicarbonate of soda.

You can use this to scrub your stainless steal kitchen sink clean.

Not only does this remove rust and limescale, it also deodorises and makes the area smell citrusy and fresh.

I live in a council house and swear by my cheap trick that keeps your home smelling fresh all day long – it’s so simple

All of these hacks are super cheap, and will cost you less than £1.

You probably already have most of the ingredients in your kitchen cupboards.

Chantel’s video, which was posted under the username @mama_mila_, has likely left many impressed, as it has racked up over 148,000 views on the video sharing platform.
