Dark circles can look purple, blue, dark brown, or black, depending on skin color.

There are several reasons why they may appear under the eyes, including fatigue, allergies, aging, genetics, hyperpigmentation, and lifestyle factors such as smoking.

Dark circles are rarely a cause for alarm, according to Medical News Today.

However, if they get darker or swell it may be worth speaking to a doctor or dermatologist for advice.

Amazon shoppers have been impressed by a topical skincare product that doesn’t require a prescription.

One customer bought the pink-toned option to treat the purple hue under her eyes.

She confessed to having been skeptical that such an affordable product would make much difference to her skin.

“I was wrong,” she said.

“With this product, less is more. (That also means there is a lot of product in the tiny pot. So for the price, it’s an excellent value.)

“The product applied smoothly under my eyes.

“I didn’t like how it looked at first, but I realized I had just applied too much… and I applied it over other makeup that had already dried out on my skin.

“When I tried again with less product and a clean face, I was very happy with the results.”

  • Keep your skin hydrated internally by drinking water and externally with moisturizer.
  • Always use sunscreen, even if you’re not in direct sunlight.
  • Use Vitamin C to brighten the skin and don’t forget to apply to your neck.

Another shopper said she bought the product amid efforts to overhaul her makeup routine as methods she used to swear by no longer work at age 62.

“Buying and trying new makeup can get expensive but not this product,” she said.

“For only six bucks, not only did my dark circles disappear but it didn’t hurt my wallet… at all.

“I just received this today, tried it, and turned around and bought another one before the price went up!

“That’s how good it was. It’s a small container but a little will go a very long way.

“This old woman loves this so don’t hesitate for a second. Grab it while you can!”

Amazon customers have given it a 4.2-star rating and penned thousands of glowing reviews.

“Love this eye brightener!” one person wrote.

“Instantly makes your eyes look awake after a long night up with kids.

“Give under eyes a shimmery brightness and duals under eye circles. This will be a must-have in my makeup bag from now on!”

Another shopper said they had replaced an expensive item in their makeup bag with the bargain buy.

She shared a photo of herself as she raved about how it transformed the appearance of her under-eyes.

“It’s very pigmented and covers the blue hue in the corners of my eyes,” she said.

“It can be worn alone but I prefer it under my concealer. It blends incredibly well. Very creamy & easy to apply.”
