Prime members snap up £70 Skullcandy headphones with ‘marvellous noise cancelling’ for £44 this Prime Day

PRIME Day is finally here, and these Skullcandy headphones are at their lowest price all year

Currently, Prime members can pick them up for £43.99 instead of £69.99, making them one of the first proper tech steals of the day.

Skullcandy Hesh ANC Headphones, £69.99 £43.99

Amazon’s 48-hour sale is underway, with deals on everything from top gadgets to beauty buys, and these headphones are already a clear frontrunner.

The Hesh ANC headphones have dropped by a huge 37% for Prime members, and shoppers can’t get enough of them.

Having tested plenty of the market’s best noise-cancelling headphones myself, I know how rare it is to see this spec list at this sort of price.

With 4-mic active noise cancelling, they block out the world so you can sink into your playlists, podcasts or plane movies in peace.

Battery life clocks in at a generous 22 hours, and the Rapid Charge feature earns you enough juice for three hours of listening on just a ten-minute charge.

They’re cleverly built too, with easy controls for calls, volume and tracks right on the earcup, and Tile tracking tech baked in so you can hunt them down in seconds if they go missing.

They fold flat, collapse down for travel, and even come with a bonus USB-C charging cable, which is a small but handy extra that makes them feel like a real all-rounder.

Amazon drops stunning early Prime Day deal on ‘lightning-fast’ premium device – was £150, now £70

AMAZON has blindsided shopper with a shock device sale, days before its Prime Big Deal Days sale is due to kick off.

One of the best deals is on a premium Fire tablet, which has been reduced to £69.99 in an epic 53% price cut.

Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet.

1

Amazon’s 10-inch Fire tablet is now better than half price ahead of the Prime Big Deal Days sale

Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet, £69.99 (was £149.99)

The next big Amazon sale starts next week, running from Tuesday to Wednesday (October 7th-8th).

Tons of prices will be slashed during Amazon Prime Day but only, of course, if you’re a Prime member.

But Amazon has launched an early device sale across its range of smart items, including Echo speakers, Kindles, Ring doorbells, Blink cameras Fire TV streaming sticks, and Fire tablets.

And better yet, these are deals open to all shoppers, not just those with a Prime membership.

The Fire HD 10 tablet (the newest generation) usually costs £149.99, but has now been slashed to an impressive £69.99.

This 10-inch device is now the best-selling tablet on the Amazon website – little wonder, with that enormous price drop.

Amazon’s line of Fire tablets are great, all-purpose devices for browsing and streaming – especially for shoppers who want to stay away from the big bucks of more powerful devices like Apple iPads and Samsung Tabs.

It also doubles up as an e-reader, though dedicated book-lovers should gravitate towards the retailer’s Kindle range.

These will all invariably go on sale next week when Prime Day begins (though a few select models are already discounted).

Read our Amazon Fire vs Kindle tablet explainer if you’re not sure which to buy.

The Fire HD 10 is perfect for watching, reading, and gaming, and it’s 25% faster than the old model.

Basically, its engine got a major upgrade – it now has a powerful processor and 3 GB of RAM, which helps everything run super-smoothly.

You get awesome HD entertainment on a big 10.1-inch screen that makes all your games and shows look great with brilliant colour.

(By the way, if you want something smaller and cheaper, the 8-inch Fire HD 8 is also on sale for just £49.99.)

The tablet has serious stamina: you can binge-watch for up to 13 hours without needing to plug into its charger.

The tablet is durable, too, with a strengthened screen that Amazon claims to to be 2.7 times tougher than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 (2022) in a drop test.

Need a good device to chat with friends and family? The 5MP front camera is way better for video calls than squinting at your small phone screen.

For storage, it comes with 32GB or 64GB of space, which is expandable by up to 1TB with a separate microSD card.

And this being an Amazon gadget, you can operate it via Alexa – it can help you out with streaming videos, relaying the latest news and controlling other smart devices in the same connected ecosystem.

The Fire HD 10 has already racked up over 2,700 five-star reviews on the Amazon website, with customers heaping praise on the device:

“The Amazon Fire HD 10 is a fantastic budget-friendly tablet,” writes one shopper.

“The 10.1-inch screen is bright and clear, perfect for watching videos, reading, or browsing.

“The battery easily lasts up to 13 hours – ideal for all-day use.”

Another delighted customer added: “Quality item… I can’t get over the size of the screen, it’s 10 inches but looks bigger.

“The tablet is lightning-fast, and it does everything that I expect from an Amazon Fire… Well worth the investment.”

A lot more deals are on the way when the Prime Big Deal Days sale starts next week, and it’s worth keeping in mind that these early device deals might become exclusively for Prime members.

So, while this current deal is marked on the Amazon site as ending on October 14th, it’s not impossible it will only be available for Amazon Prime members soon.

Anyone without a Prime account who’s interested shouldn’t hold off for too long on buying.

Ditch your old vacuum – Amazon’s £200 “powerful” & “life-changing” robot cleaner comes with two stunning features

LOOKING for some domestic help around the house this autumn?

Head straight to Amazon, where there’s a self-emptying robot vacuum on a massive, limited-time sale, slashed to under £200.

Self-emptying robot vacuum with remote and app interface.

2

This self-emptying robot vacuum is now 39% cheaper on Amazon

Vexilar Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum
Cleaner, £199.98 (was £329.99)

Robot vacuums come in a wide variety of budgets and capabilities, from basic models that just sweep to high-end devices that map your entire home and even mop.

But you don’t always have to splash the cash for great features, as Amazon often drops the price on some leading cleaning devices.

Right now, you can snap up the Vexilar Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum Cleaner for an absolutely steal.

It was priced at £329.99, but is currently reduced to just £199.98 – that’s a discount of almost 40%.

We in the Sun Shopping team haven’t tested out this particular models ourselves – for some tested recommendations, you’ll need to head to our best robot vacuum cleaners page.

But this device has proved incredibly popular with shoppers, currently ranking as the third-best selling robot vacuum on the Amazon site.

The Vexilar packs two pieces of impressive tech for a price that’s now firmly in budget territory.

Firstly, it’s unusual to get a robot vacuum for less than £200 that comes with a self-emptying bin – that’s usually the domain of premium devices.

(I recently reviewed a flagship robot vac that self-empties, but it costs a whopping £1,119 – read my Eureka J15 Max Ultra review if you’re curious.)

The Vexilar’s base station contains a 2L dust bag, which is advertised to last for 60 days before you need to empty it.

That’s a massive plus for busy households.

Secondly, there’s the laser-mapping, which is something you’ll not often see with cheaper devices.

Basically, its Advanced LDS Laser Navigation will precisely map your home in 360 degrees, allowing it to plan the most efficient cleaning route.

It even lets you set virtual ‘no-go’ zones and customise suction or water levels for specific rooms via the app.

When it comes to power, the vacuum boasts a 6000Pa suction, and the manufacturer says it’s effective at tackling pet hair and debris on everything from hardwood floors to low-pile carpets.

The device also has a long 180-minute runtime on a single charge in quiet mode, before returning to its base station to re-charge.

You can control it via the companion app, or connect it to your smart home using Alexa, Google Home, or Siri – that’s seriously hands-off cleaning.

The Vexilar robot vacuum will run for 3 hours off a single charge in quiet mode

Cleaner, £199.98 (was £329.99)

Over 800 people have left five-star reviews on the Amazon page for this device.

“Worth it – powerful, reliable, and hassle-free,” says one happy customer.

“[I’m] really happy with this robot vacuum. Easy to set up, cleans well, and the auto-empty base is a big time saver.

It navigates around furniture without any issues and picks up dust and pet hair easily… Makes life a lot easier. Definitely recommend.”

Another shopper writes: “I’ve been using this for a few days now but oh boy! I’m honestly impressed!

“The battery lasts long enough to finish the whole house, and if it runs low it goes back, recharges and picks up where it left off.

“I also like that I can control it with the app or just ask Alexa to start cleaning,” said another.

“Worth every penny, don’t hesitate!” wrote a third shopper, while other buyers described it

“Complete game-changer,” commented a fourth.

“Life-changing,” was the verdict of a fifth reviewer.

This huge saving on the Vexilar Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum Cleaner is marked as a limited-time deal, so you shouldn’t wait too long if you want to bag this bargain.

Keep in mind that Amazon Prime Day is happening next week (October 7th-8th), and it’s not impossible that this device could drop even lower in price.

However, any potential further discount will likely be a deal only available to Amazon Prime members.

Shoppers getting winter-ready shouldn’t miss a superb deal on a heated throw, which has been reduced by 54% on Amazon.

Amazon shoppers love ‘powerful and fast’ £140 MagSafe power bank – now just £25 for Prime members

AMAZON has just slashed the price of a powerful MagSafe power bank.

This fast-charging essential usually costs £139.99, but right now it’s down to just £24.99, a hefty saving that’s making it a hit with shoppers

Empty white and grey studio backdrop background.
Prime members can save over £100 on this MagSafe power bank

Gxorul MagSafe Power Bank, £139.99 £24.99

The catch is, it’s exclusively for Prime members, and the kind of discount that doesn’t hang around for long.

More than 2,000 of the Gxorul MagSafe power banks have been snapped up in the last month alone.

If you’re not a member yet, it’s well worth signing up for free for 30 days, and nab this saving while you’ve got it.

The compact charger packs a hefty 10,000mAh capacity into a device that weighs just 220g, keeping your phone powered all day without feeling like lugging around a brick.

It uses magnetic suction technology to grip firmly to the back of your iPhone, creating a seamless MagSafe connection that makes charging on the move feel effortless.

Compatible with Apple’s latest line-up from iPhone 12 through to the just-dropped iPhone 17, it’s built to snap on securely even if you’re using a magnetic case.

The Gxorul charger doesn’t just look slick, it’s fast too, with USB-C and USB-A ports capable of powering devices up to 55% in just half an hour.

Better still, you can charge three gadgets at once thanks to its combination of wireless charging, USB-C, and USB-A outputs, making it the perfect travel or commute addition.

There’s also a handy LED display that shows your remaining battery level and lights up with a green fast-charge logo, so you’re never left guessing.

It has a handy built-in stand, so you can prop up your phone at a 60-degree angle, ideal for video calls and catch-ups while your device gets a boost.

Portable enough to slip into your bag and airline-friendly at 38.5Wh, it’s a smart buy for workdays, weekends away, and even long-haul flights.

Shoppers are giving the Gxorul a near-perfect 4.8 out of 5-star rating on Amazon, which tells you everything you need to know about just how well it delivers.

Amazon buyers have been quick to praise its mix of muscle and portability, with one calling it “a powerful thing despite its diminutive size” and hailing it as “powerful and fast.”

Another reviewer noted, “The MagSafe connection is strong and the LED display makes it easy to track power.

“The 10,000mAh capacity easily gives my iPhone multiple charges, and the 22.5W fast charging is noticeably quick.”

A third impressed shopper summed it up perfectly: “Brilliantly designed magnetic wireless charging that grips and fits onto the back of the phone perfectly, even with a normal case on it.

This isn’t the only deal I spotted with serious savings.

Apple fans have also been rushing to pre-order the iPhone 17 with a free pair of AirPods thrown in.

iPhone 16 Black Friday 2025: what to expect this November

BLACK FRIDAY has long been the moment to score serious savings on Apple’s handsets, and this year looks no different.

The timing is especially sharp; Apple’s latest iPhone launch has nudged prices down across the range, and we’re already seeing early iPhone 16 Black Friday deals.

A hand holding a teal iPhone 16.

1

The annual Black Friday sale is the ideal time to save on Apple’s handsets

The timing is especially sharp; Apple’s latest iPhone launch nudges prices down.

For anyone eyeing an upgrade, this is a smart window to start watching the sales.

Retailers tend to slash prices on premium tech throughout November, and while Apple rarely leads with markdowns, there are tried-and-true places to find them.

The recent flagship release adds an extra twist: older models are dropping in price at the same time seasonal Black Friday promotions begin.

That combination makes the iPhone 16 a particularly attractive buy.

If you’d rather explore the very latest hardware, my Apple iPhone 17 where to buy guide has everything you need to know.

But if you’re hoping to save on the 16, we’ll be tracking the best Black Friday deals on the iPhone 16 right here, so it’s worth keeping this page bookmarked.

Below, you’ll find the early deals we’ve spotted, plus a look back at last year’s discounts.

Apple iPhone 16 review

The Sun’s Senior Tech Editor, Sean Keach, reviewed the Apple iPhone 16 series when it launched last year, and this is his verdict…

Pros:

  • New Camera Control button makes snapping quick
  • Action Button adds handy custom shortcuts
  • Faster A18 chip improves speed and photos
  • Big battery life boost
  • Fresh colour choices

Cons:

  • May feel like a modest step up if you have a recent model

Rating: 10/10

I’ve been trying out Apple’s new line of iPhones.

There’s the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, and the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max.

All of them get a new Camera Control button for quick access to the clever snapping feature. Taking photos has never been easier.

And the regular iPhone 16s are upgraded with the Pro’s Action Button, which I’m using to identify songs with Shazam – but you might want to set it up to translate foreign languages, or just turn the torch on.

There are loads of new colours for both models. My favourite is Teal on the iPhone 16, and Desert Titanium on the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Powerful new A18 processors make photos look better, and battery life gets huge gains. Video playback hits a whopping 33 hours on the iPhone 16 Pro Max. I can’t run it down.

That’s my favourite model, also in part thanks to its giant 6.9-inch screen.

But I think the iPhone 16 is now so good that most people will get on just fine with it.

When is Black Friday 2025?

November 28, 2025, is the date to know, but you can expect deals to land earlier in the month, with the best reserved for the big day.

The sale always falls on the day after Thanksgiving, as per the American tradition.

But while it may have begun over in the States, Black Friday has now snowballed into one of the biggest events across the world.

If you’re interested in learning more, check out our guide to the meaning behind Black Friday.

Is Apple taking part in Black Friday this year?

Apple doesn’t tend to discount its tech, and the brand doesn’t join in Black Friday shenanigans.

So third-party retailers are your best bet, and often where you’ll find the biggest discounts on Apple products during the sale period.

The likes of ArgosAmazonJohn Lewis, and Currys will almost certainly have offers to jump on, as well as mobile phone network providers.

We’ll handle the hard work for you by updating this page with the best discounts as soon as they drop.

So, keep checking back to snap up a bargain.

What to expect from Apple’s Black Friday sale 2025

This Black Friday, we’re expecting to see some deals on the iPhone 16, although the discounts may not be major.

If you’re shopping with big savings in mind and aren’t fussed about having the absolute latest features, it’s a smart idea to search for deals on older models like the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro.

The iPhone 15 will continue to be supported by Apple until at least 2028.

When is Cyber Monday 2025 and is Apple taking part?

This year, Cyber Monday takes place on Monday, December 1.

Back when Black Friday was a bigger brick-and-mortar event, Cyber Monday was reserved as an exclusive online-only event.

These days, things have moved on, and the day is more of an extension to the month-long event, with pretty similar deals across the board.

That’s not to say there are no surprises, but where iPhones are concerned, the deals will only last as long as the stock does, so with hot ticket items like this, it pays to snag them early.

While Apple doesn’t typically offer direct discounts on its products during Cyber Monday, plenty of other retailers do.

We’ve listed several UK retailers below, so make sure to check them out.

How much does Apple’s shipping cost?

Apple offers free standard shipping for all online orders in the UK.

That said, if you’re shopping for a bargain, you likely won’t be shopping there.

So, the shipping costs will vary from retailer to retailer.

To avoid any surprises, check your chosen retailer’s shipping costs before checking out.

Does Apple offer any other discounts?

If you are shopping with Apple directly, there are a few types of discounts offered.

First, there are discounts for students, teachers, and educational staff, which are available through Apple’s education store.

This typically includes savings on MacsiPads, and accessories, along with discounts on AppleCare and Apple Music subscriptions.

There’s also a trade-in programme that allows you to trade in eligible devices for credit toward a new purchase or an Apple Store Gift Card.

Plus, you can check out the certified refurbished products page, which features discounted items that have been tested and come with a full warranty, often making them a cost-effective option.

For more information on refurbished devices, visit our refurbished tech guide.

Which retailers have the best Black Friday iPhone 16 deals in the UK?

As Apple is one of the most well-known brands worldwide, many major UK network providers and retailers will be selling the smartphone.

If you want to land the best deals, check out the sites listed below.

Shoppers love this ‘reliable and powerful’ £130 MagSafe power bank – and it’s on sale for £20

AMAZON has quietly slashed the price on a top-rated portable charger.

Usually a hefty £130, the Dbasne Magnetic Power Bank has been slashed down to just £19.99.

Empty white and grey studio backdrop background.

This portable charger has a rare 5-out-of-5-star rating, and it’s on saleCredit: Amazon

Dbasne Magnetic Power Bank, £129.99 £19.99

That’s an 85% saving on a portable charger that has all the features I’d look for in this kind of tech.

I’ve tested and written about countless power banks, from bulkier bricks to ultra-slim wireless chargers, and I know what stands out.

For the price, the Dbasne Magnetic Power Bank genuinely impresses.

The design is ultra-portable, slimmer than a centimetre thick, weighing only 109g, and about two-thirds the size of a phone.

Despite the compact body, it carries a 5000mAh capacity, enough to comfortably get most people through a day without scrambling for a wall socket.

The big sell here is the strong magnetic connection, engineered with a grip force that snaps securely to your iPhone.

There’s no button-pressing or fiddling around; the Dbasne charger attaches instantly and starts charging automatically.

Wireless charging gets you from zero to around 55% in just half an hour on iPhone 12 through 16 series.

While the USB-C outport is there if you prefer a wired boost, pushing you up to 70% in the same time.

It’s a fast and fuss-free option, and reliable enough for daily use or travel.

It also comes with built-in protections against overheating, overcharging, and voltage spikes, giving peace of mind.

Another clever touch is the retractable lanyard cable, which doubles as a charging cord.

It cuts out clutter and keeps the charger close at hand, whether you’re commuting, at the office, or heading out away from a wall charger.

While I’m impressed by the design and value, it’s not just me taking notice.

Shoppers themselves have given it a rare 5-out-of-5-star rating with a 97% approval rate on Amazon, which is almost unheard of for a product in this category.

One buyer raved: “Small, quick, and dependable, what a lifesaver this power bank is. It is ideal for everyday usage or travel, and a phone can be charged multiple times thanks to the battery’s strong capacity.”

Another called it an “Awesome little powerbank”

They added that it’s “Lightweight, charges with cable or wireless. Quick charge, fits in small purses, besides, it’s really cute and smooth.”

A third praised its longevity: “Reliable and powerful. The battery lasts a surprisingly long time.”

“I can use it for multiple charges without recharging the power bank itself. It’s perfect for travel, busy days out.”

This isn’t the only tech deal I’ve had my eyes on of late.

Mobiles.co.uk is currently offering three months of free Apple Music with the iPhone 16e, with plans starting at just £25 a month.

While we in the Sun Shopping team haven’t tested this car device ourselves, it comes with a wide range of features that are pretty impressive-looking for that low price.

It’s also gathered some rave reviews from happy drivers on Amazon.

Think of the Aonerex Wireless Auto Screen as a portable, all-in-one smart device for your car.

It’s a 7-inch HD touchscreen that’s super easy to install: you just plug it into your car’s power outlet (it works with any 12-24V socket) and use either the suction cup or the base stand it comes with.

The screen itself is really sharp and clear.

It has a built-in speaker, but for a better sound experience, you can connect it to your car’s stereo using Bluetooth, an AUX cable, or by matching the FM radio frequency.

It works seamlessly with both iPhone and Android phones, so everyone can use it.

Basically, this gadget allows you to:

  • Connect wirelessly: Use wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto by connecting your phone via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
  • Get real-time navigation: Send smart GPS navigation software, like Google Maps, from your phone directly on the screen.
  • Control with your voice: Use Siri or Android voice assistants to make calls, send messages, and control your music hands-free.
  • Mirror your phone: Cast your iPhone or Android screen to the large 7-inch display to watch videos or stream sports games.
  • Enjoy powerful audio: Play music through the device’s built-in speaker or connect to your car’s speakers for a richer sound.

With an average rating of 4.4 out of 5 on the Amazon website, shoppers are loving this device.

One happy customer wrote: “Good, affordable and works perfectly.

“I bought this because it was affordable and I was curious to see how it would work in my car with navigation… I have to say, it performs much better than I expected.

“The screen size is just right, and installation was simple.

“I’d definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a budget-friendly CarPlay option.”

Another buyer said: “Great CarPlay screen. Easy to fix to the dashboard and set up either wired or Bluetooth with phone.

Works really well with iPhone. Really good clear display and plays music well. Touchscreen is good and great for maps.”

And a third customer noted: “Fantastic price, great for using Maps to navigate.

“Android screen mirroring works perfectly, brilliant for Netflix or Spotify.”

Amazon has this marked as the ‘lowest price in 30 days’, so we’re not sure if it’s a temporary deal or if the price is going to stay like this for a while.

And one final note: while you might be able to cast video to the device’s screen, please drive carefully, folks. Keep those eyes on the road.

‘Fantastic sound’ say Amazon shoppers snapping up £130 noise-cancelling headphones for just £21

AMAZON has just slashed the price on a pair of wireless earbuds that shoppers are loving.

Right now, the Cillso H97 Wireless Earbuds are reduced from £129.99 to just £20.99, a huge 84% saving.

Cillso H97 Wireless Earbuds, £129.99 £20.99 on Amazon

These pocket-sized earbuds are packed with features you’d normally expect from big-name brands with triple the price tag.

The sound profile is a real crowd-pleaser, powered by 14mm drivers that deliver solid bass with oomph up to 90dB.

And thanks to ENC noise-cancelling tech, background distractions fade away, leaving you with clear music and clear calls.

While ENC isn’t quite as advanced as ANC, it is designed to make calls clearer, rather than blanketly blocking out all ambient noise.

The Cillso buds are also built for everyday life, boasting an IP7 waterproof rating that shrugs off sweat, rain and gym sessions.

You get smart touch controls to skip tracks, answer calls or adjust volume with a tap, much like pricer models from Apple.

But, unlike Apple’s offering, the Cillso H97 buds feature a dual LED display that shows exactly how much battery you have left.

Speaking of battery, these little earbuds clock in at around six to eight hours of listening per charge, with the case boosting that to a massive 40 hours, plus fast USB-C charging when it’s time to top up.

Shoppers on Amazon have been won over, with an almost-perfect 4.9-star average rating and 95% of reviewers handing them a full five stars.

One thrilled buyer wrote: “Absolutely fantastic sound! I was going to splash out on AirPods, so glad I didn’t, these are THE best headphones I’ve ever had.”

Another raved: “The sound quality is excellent, clear, crisp audio with surprisingly deep bass for earbuds in this price range.

The same shopper continued, “The noise-cancelling feature works really well, blocking out background noise during calls and when listening to music.”

A third said: “The battery display counted down remaining hours and achieved a full day of playback before recharge.”

With feedback like that, it’s no wonder these are quickly becoming one of Amazon’s most popular budget audio buys.

The Cillso Wireless Earbuds are still in stock at the time of writing, but at £20.99, it’s easy to see why shoppers are snapping them up.

I’ve also spotted a few other Amazon steals this month that are well worth a look.

Another pair of noise-cancelling headphones dropped to just £22, with shoppers calling them “better than Apple”.

And for those chasing power, Amazon fans love this “incredibly fast-charging” £140 power bank, now only £26.

To see how the Cillso model stacks up against the big names, check out my tried-and-tested guide to the best noise-cancelling headphones.

Get a FREE Chromebook and earbuds with Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra from iD Mobile – here’s how to claim

Mobiles.co.uk is offer not one, not two, but THREE pieces of tech for the same monthly cost.

The phone provider is offering a free Chromebook and earbuds with Samsung’s flagship device, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, on the iD Mobile network.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra phone with stylus, earbuds, and Chromebook Go.

1

Mobiles.co.uk is offering two devices with Samsung’s flagship mobile on the iD Mobile network

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra with Buds3 Pro and
Chromebook Go: From £29.99p/m

This is a great opportunity to pick up a new laptop device with a brand-new mobile, and to upgrade your audio too.

It’s an absolute gem of a deal for students returning to college or university – although anyone on a tighter budget should look at a similar Chromebook giveaway with the cheaper Samsung Galaxy A16 at Tesco Mobile.

By contrast, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is the brand’s reigning monarch of smartphones.

Here, it’s bundled with a brand-new Samsung Chromebook Go, AND a set of noise-cancelling earphones.

Best of all, you’re getting the best of everything, all on one simple monthly plan on the iD Mobile network.

Prices for these pay-monthly plans can vary, as is standard practice.

As you’d probably imagine, the more you pay upfront, the lower your monthly bill will be, giving you flexibility to choose a plan that suits your budget.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: Pay-monthly plans from iD Mobile

The flagship S25 Ultra is available on contract from iD Mobile.

Prices for these pay-monthly plans vary, as is standard practice – the more you pay upfront, the lower your monthly bill will be.

  • £42.99 per month: £99.00 upfront, 150GB data on iD Mobile, for a total of £1,130.76 over 24 months – shop here

  • £45.99 per month: £99.00 upfront, Unlimited data on iD Mobile, for a total of £1,202.76 over 24 months – shop here

You’ll find cheaper phones elsewhere, that’s for sure, but the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is a beast, plain and simple.

This top-end Android handset has all the latest tech, including some clever AI stuff, and a camera that’s in a league of its own.

The screen is a huge 6.9-inch beauty that’s so bright and clear it’ll make everything look amazing.

The main lens is a massive 200MP, so your photos will be sharp as a tack, and the huge 5,000mAh battery will keep you going all day long without needing a charge.

Jamie Harris, The Sun’s Assistant Tech Editor, got his hands on this top-of-the-range mobile.

In his Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra review, he notes that while “all phone makers are making noise about AI,” Samsung’s new features are positioned as a “companion” to make daily life genuinely easier.

Harris praises the phone’s physical design, stating, “The first thing I’ve noticed this time around is how much lighter it is – literally, so much lighter.”

And then of course there’s that Chromebook, which runs on Google Chrome OS and is the perfect little workhouse for browsing, admin tasks and streaming.

The best bit is that you get both of these bits of kit on a single, easy-to-manage contract.

The Buds3 Pro earbuds, meanwhile, are noise-cancelling and are sold separately for £219 on the Samsung website.

Seriously, if you’re looking for a general level up across your devices, this deal is a winner.

Just keep in mind you’ll need to head to the claims page on the Mobiles.co.uk website to ensure you get the Chromebook.

Car owners race to buy ‘seamless’ Alexa gadget slashed from £60 to £20 – adds voice control to your vehicle

Motorists are flocking to Amazon to get their hands on a smart bit of car kit that’s seen a dramatic tumble in price.

The gadget is the second-generation Echo Auto, and it’s been picking up some proper rave reviews from blokes and lasses who have snapped it up.

Amazon Echo Auto in car.

1

The Echo Auto will introduce hands-free Alexa control to your car

Amazon Echo Auto (2nd gen), £19.99 (was £59.99)

Originally fetching a hefty £59.99, the nifty Echo Auto is currently on sale for just £19.99 on Amazon.

That’s a cracking deal and a perfect time for anyone looking to introduce some smart tech into their motor – and crucially, without splashing out a fortune.

This price drop is part of a wider Amazon promotion, with savings as high as 45% across the retailer’s smart devices.

It’s the best deal we’ve seen on a piece of car tech since we covered a slashed cheap CarPlay alternative on Amazon back in April (which is on sale again).

What does the Echo Auto do?

This little gizmo is designed to be your co-pilot, letting you command Alexa while you’re busy at the wheel.

  • Hands-free control: You can talk to Alexa to play music, make calls, or set reminders without ever touching your phone.
  • Navigation: Get directions from apps like Google Maps just by asking Alexa where you want to go.
  • Play music: Listen to your favourite songs and podcasts from services like Spotify or Amazon Music.
  • Smart home control: You can ask Alexa to turn on your house lights or adjust the heat while you are driving home.
  • Hear your voice: It has special microphones that can hear you clearly over car noise, like the radio or air conditioner.

The 2nd-gen Echo Auto is a small and discreet piece of kit that slots right into your car.

It hooks up to your phone and your car’s speakers to bring a whole new level of voice control to your ride.

Getting it all set up is a doddle too. You just plug it into a spare USB slot, link it to your phone’s Alexa app, and you’re sorted.

This brilliant bit of kit has an average rating of 4.4 out of 5 stars on Amazon, with thousands of happy drivers raving about how it’s transformed their motors.

One buzzing punter, who slapped a 5-star rating on it, wrote: “Highly recommend this. Works in my 23-year-old Nissan Micra.

“Voice activated, can listen to a music playlist or podcasts, can make hands-free calls, listen to LBC, etc. Works brilliantly.”

Another shopper commented: “Works seamlessly… very useful as just a Bluetooth pass through to car speakers.”

Another chuffed buyer said: “Great piece of tech, [I] love Alexa at home.

“Now she comes on the road with us and, unlike my phone, she hears very well and plays whatever I want. Terrific.”

A proper ringing endorsement came from a verified customer who simply put: “This is an amazing piece of kit, highly recommend.”

Whether you want to listen to tunes, get directions, or just stay connected on the go, the Auto is a simple and cheap way to do it.

At that sale price, it’s a bit of a no-brainer.

Amazon shoppers love this ‘incredibly fast-charging’ £140 power bank – now just £26

AMAZON has cut the price of a heavyweight charging essential, and it’s proving popular.

The Ohoviv Fast Charging Power Bank usually retails for £139.99, but is now just £25.99.

This top-rated portable charger has been cut by 81%

Ohoviv Fast Charging Power Bank, £139.99 £25.99

That’s a huge 81% off, and this isn’t just any old backup charger.

With a mammoth 26,800mAh capacity, the Ohoviv Power Bank is built to keep your devices alive for days on end.

It supports 22.5W fast charging via USB-A and 20W via Type-C, so the latest iPhone 16 can climb to 50% in just half an hour.

That’s serious power in your pocket, with enough ports to charge three devices at once, so you can top up your phone, the kids’ tablet, or your earbuds simultaneously.

Despite all that muscle, the Ohoviv remains surprisingly practical, with a bright LED display that shows you exactly how much juice is left in the tank.

Built-in safety features keep voltage, current, and temperature under control, so your phone stays protected.

Amazon reviewers have been quick to sing its praises, with one shopper raving: “It charges my iPhone 15 and my partner’s Galaxy phone incredibly fast.

They continued, “I love that I can charge two devices at once. Despite its powerful capacity, it’s lightweight and compact.”

Another added, “Easy to carry as it’s not heavy, and doesn’t overheat when in use it. I love the screen that shows its battery life and the overall design.”

While a third wrote, “Good capacity, lasted well and charged my phone for 3 nights without needing recharging.”

It’s little wonder the Ohoviv has racked up a near-perfect 4.9 out of 5-star average rating, with more than 500 units sold in the past month alone.

But it’s not the first time we’ve seen a steal like this.

Just this week, I spotted Amazon slashing the Xinwld wireless headphones from £140 to a bargain £22.

Amazon slashes £450 ‘powerhouse’ laptop to just £230 – and it’s ideal for students

SHOPPERS are raving about this uni-friendly tech deal, and it’s well worth a look.

The top-rated Jumper S7 15.6-inch laptop is now just £230 on Amazon, down from the usual £450.

This top-rated laptop has been slashed by half

Jumper S7 15.6-inch Laptop, £449.99 £229.99
(Includes 1-year Office-365 Subscription)

That’s a hefty 49% discount on a laptop that packs some serious everyday power.

Granted, Jumper might not be a household name, which explains the handful of reviews.

But, with a perfect 5-star rating, it’s clear it’s something of a hidden gem.

You get 4GB of high-speed RAM, 128GB storage and a 512GB TF card expansion.

That’s plenty of room to run multiple programmes without your laptop sounding like it’s about to take off.

For students, that means jumping between research tabs, lecture slides and last-minute essays without the dreaded lag.

Better still, it comes with a one-year pre-installed Office 365 subscription (worth £89.99).

That’s Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook all included, so you can get stuck into coursework from day one, with no faffing over extra downloads or hidden costs.

The 15.6-inch screen is a decent size at this price point; big enough for comfortable working and perfect for streaming your favourite shows after class.

One reviewer raves: “I was a bit sceptical about buying a laptop from a brand I wasn’t familiar with, but I’m so glad I took the chance

The same shopper continued, “This is a powerhouse for everyday use and an incredible value.”

Another parent wrote: “Gave it to my son for university activities. Speedy and reliable.”

At just 3.6 lbs, it’s light enough to slip into your tote or backpack without putting your back out.

And you won’t be tethered to a wall socket either. The 5,000mAh battery typically lasts six to eight hours, so you can work through lectures and still have juice left for Netflix.

One shopper summed it up perfectly: “It is light enough to carry around all day and the battery easily lasts for hours.”

It’s also kitted out with multi-functional ports, including Type-C, USB 3.0, Mini HDMI, and a headphone jack.

If you’re heading off to uni, pair it with one of the best extension leads I’ve tested to give your dorm a few extra ports.

You might also want to check out the best Bluetooth speakers we’ve tested for your next flat party.

Mobile network offering TRIPLE data SIM-only deal – 24GB for £7/month

SMARTY’s latest offer hands you a massive data boost for no extra cash.

Right now, you can bag 24GB of data for only £7 a month, the same price you’d normally pay for just 8GB.

Illustration of a mobile plan offer: 24GB for £7.

This bargain data deal triples your dataCredit: Smarty

Smarty SIM-only deal, 8GB 24GB data for £7/month

That’s triple the data without spending a penny extra.

It’s Smarty’s latest push to give shoppers more for their money, and frankly, it’s a pretty solid offer.

If you’re after enough data to stream Spotify, scroll socials, and cover your everyday browsing on the go, this plan has you well covered.

You’re on a low, flat monthly fee with no sneaky mid-contract price hikes lurking in the small print.

And because Smarty runs on rolling 1-month contracts, you can walk away whenever you like, no strings attached.

That kind of freedom is a big part of why Smarty has built such a loyal following among budget-conscious shoppers..

The service rides on Three’s network, which already offers solid coverage across most of the UK.

To be sure, you can double-check your signal with Smarty’s handy coverage checker before you sign up.

There are a few tempting offers on the table right now, but the standout is the 8GB SIM-only plan, currently boosted to a chunky 24GB for just £7 a month.

That’s not bad at all when you consider some providers will happily charge you twice as much for a fraction of the allowance.

Best SIM-only Smarty deals:

If 24GB isn’t enough, you’ll find other plans going up to unlimited data, still at budget rates.

Here are some of the best:

But for light-to-moderate users, the triple-data offer is hard to beat.

And with no contract tie-in, you can switch, upgrade, or leave whenever you fancy.

If you’re also hunting for other tech savings, there are a couple of standouts doing the rounds this week.

You can boost your online security and save 72% on NordVPN, and they’re throwing in a free Amazon gift card worth £50 just for signing up.

And for those who want a new handset without the big spend, there’s an ‘excellent condition’ refurbished iPhone 13 going for just £20 a month.

If these deals don’t quite fit the bill, have a look at our roundup of the best SIM-only deals from all the big networks.

Amazon shoppers love ‘compact and powerful’ £160 power bank – now just £13 for Prime members

Hosgubo Fast-Charging Power Bank, £159.99 £12.99
(Prime member exclusive)

That brings the Hosgubo Power Bank down by a massive 92%, so it’s no surprise it’s getting plenty of attention on Amazon right now.

You will need to be a Prime member to claim the deal, but with a 30-day free trial available, it’s an easy win.

Unlike bulkier battery packs, this one is designed with portability front and centre.

It weighs just 192g, so it’s lighter than most out there and easy to slip into a handbag, backpack, or carry-on.

With a 10000mAh capacity, it’s got more than enough power to get you through a full day, and then some.

And because it’s well under the TSA’s 27,000mAh limit, you can safely pop it in your hand luggage for a mid-flight top-up.

It’s not just the size that makes it handy. It supports 3A fast charging, twice as fast as your average power bank, so you won’t be stuck waiting forever to recharge.

It also has smart safety tech built in to protect your devices from overheating or battery damage, which is always reassuring.

There’s a USB-C IN & OUT port, a USB-A port, and a built-in USB-C cable, so you can charge three devices at once.

Whether it’s your phone, wireless earbuds, or even a mate’s device, this little power bank can handle it.

There’s also a clever little design touch: the micro cable doubles as a lanyard, so you can clip it to your bag and keep it handy while you’re out and about.

There’s no guessing games when it comes to battery life, the LED power display shows you exactly how much juice you’ve got left.

With a 4.6-star average and over 500 units sold last month, this compact power bank has impressed Amazon shoppers with its solid design, fast charging, and reliability.

“Compact, powerful, and perfect for on-the-go,” writes one shopper. “It’s honestly become a lifesaver for my on-the-go lifestyle.”

“A solid battery pack,” says another customer. “The in-built USB-C cable is extremely convenient, snug fitting in my phone and provides a nice, fast charge. “

Another buyer writes: “The wireless charging works flawlessly with my phone… The battery level indicator is a nice touch.

Is Argos open over the Easter weekend?

Argos stores across England, Wales and Northern Ireland will open on Good Friday (April 18), Easter Saturday (April 19) and Easter Monday (April 21) in 2025.

However, stores which do open their doors on these dates will likely follow a reduced hours policy common across the UK.

On Easter Sunday (April 20), the retailer will close all stores in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, marking the Christian holiday.

Scotland will be the outlier with most Argos locations closing for Easter Sunday but a select few staying open – so remember to check opening times before you travel to your local store.

Does Argos do January sales?

Yes, Argos does hold January sales and the retailer gives shoppers the entire month to snag any deals which catch their eyes.

That’s right, the retailer doesn’t bring their January clearance sales to a close until January 31 giving you as much time as possible to get your money’s worth.

In 2025, Argos sliced 66% off of selected electronics and home appliances, meaning shoppers could save on anything from TVs to vacuum cleaners.

The Remington Shea Soft Hair Dryer dropped a whopping 66% in price, falling from £50 to only £17 in the January clearance sale.

Sale items were available both in-store and online with standard delivery starting at just £3.95 and same-day options available for an additional fee.

Click and collect is free for items ordered online.

Does Argos do Black Friday sales?

Yes, Argos does offer Black Friday sales and the retail giant has already begun counting down to the big day!

With November fast-approaching, the high street store has some advice for potential customers:

Be prepared: The store’s website advises shoppers to prepare for a day of smooth shopping by researching the products you want and writing up a list of back-up options in case you are too late.

Create an Argos account: To purchase an online order on the day you will need an Argos account set up, so you can get ahead of the game and make sure to register before the rush!

Shopping online: Finally, Argos recommends shoppers complete their hauls from the comfort of their own home by starting early, prioritising their lists, sticking to their budgets and being patient.

On the big day, all orders bought online before 5pm will be delivered by 10pm on the same day for just £5.95, subject to availability.

Or, customers can choose to pick up from a Sainsbury’s Collection Point near you.

Head to The Sun’s shopping section for more of the latest discounts we’ve spotted.

Streaming fans can pick up 4 months of Disney+ for £1.99p/m – ends SOON

Disney+ has just unveiled a shock deal for new subscribers to its streaming platform.

For a limited time this June, you can get four months of Disney+ for just £1.99 per month, down from £4.99.

Disney+ logo on a phone screen.

1

Disney+ is now 60% cheaper for 4 months in the streaming giant’s limited-time promo deal

Disney+, £4.99 £1.99p/m for 4 months

This fantastic offer began today (11th June) and will run until 30th June, giving you just a few weeks to take advantage of the deal.

At its usual price of £4.99 per month, this promotion saves you a total of £12 over the four months.

That’s a massive 60% discount – a price drop you don’t often see from the House of Mouse’s streaming platform.

Deals like this are rare for Disney+.

The last time it ran a similar deal was back in September, and that was only for 3 months of streaming.

However, this promotion comes directly from Disney itself, making it a brilliant chance to save money on one of the most popular streaming services around.

It’s worth noting that this deal applies to the Disney+ Standard with Ads subscription, which is the service’s entry-level plan.

With this plan, you can stream in Full HD on two devices at the same time, and content is broken up by adverts.

Yep, it’s the no-frills version of Disney+ – but it’s still an absolute bargain at that reduced monthly cost.

For just £1.99 a month, you’ll get access to the entire Disney+ catalogue.

Parents, I imagine, will particularly appreciate this deal, with the school summer holidays fast approaching.

Naturally, the entire catalogue of Disney’s classic animated films is available to stream.

The latest addition to the platform is the live-action remake of Snow White – perfect if you missed it in cinemas (and are ready to face those CGI dwarves).

For Star Wars fans, the critically acclaimed Andor Series 2 is now available to stream in full.

Marvel lovers also have plenty to get excited about, with the latest series, Ironheart, set to premiere on 25th June.

But for my money, the biggest show on the horizon is Series 4 of The Bear.

This intense, heart-stirring and ever-so-slightly-stressful cooking drama is one of the best shows on TV, and the new season drops on 26th June.

I’ve been working up an appetite for this since that Season 3 finale last year.

Honestly, it’s worth the £1.99-per-month sign-up all by itself, in my opinion.

Kitchen dramas, superheroes, guilty-pleasure Mormon wife reality TV – it’s all there on Disney+.

Just make sure you sign up this month, before it returns to standard price.

Amazon shoppers rush to buy ‘powerful’ and ‘sleek’ portable charger slashed from £140 to £15

LOOKING for life support for your devices? Amazon is offering an absolute gem of a deal on a portable charger.

Right now, you can pick up a fast-charging power bank for just £15.19, a massive 89% discount from its original price of £139.99.

Black portable charger with a digital display showing 100% charge and a USB cable.

1

This super-fast portable charger is now almost 90% cheaper on Amazon – perfect for dying devices

OHOVIV Portable Charger, £15.19 (was £139.99)

If you’re planning a summer getaway or just spending more time out and about in the months to come, this power bank could well come in handy.

Nobody wants to be stuck with a dead device, whether it’s on a plane, beach or out in the park.

Amazon often offers great tech deals on device from lesser-known brands, and this one seems to have impressed shoppers, boasting over 150 glowing reviews.

The Sun Shopping team hasn’t tested this cheap-as-chips gadget, but the specs are seriously impressive-looking.

No wonder this is now one of the top-selling power banks on Amazon.

The OHOVIV charger comes armed with a 12000mAh battery, one that a customer claims meant their “iPhone 16 reached 50% in under 30 minutes”.

What’s especially cool is that it can charge up to three devices at the same time, thanks to its dual USB ports and Type-C port.

It even has a sleek LED display that shows the remaining battery level and charging status, so you’re never caught out with a dead charger.

Safety is another big plus with this device.

The OHOVIV power bank has been rigorously tested for durability, and it also has built-in protections against overheating, short circuits and overvoltage.

Shoppers seem to love it: Amazon reviewers have left it with an average rating of 4.9 out of 5, with one shoppers calling it a “game-changer.”

The same person write: “The compact and lightweight design slips easily into my pocket or backpack, making it ideal for travel, commuting, or outdoor adventures.

“The screen is a handy touch, clearly showing the remaining battery level so I’m never caught off-guard.”

Another happy customer added: “It feels sturdy, looks sleek, and I love that it’s allowed on planes.

“Plus, it has safety protection built in, so I don’t have to worry about it overheating. For the price, it’s a total bargain.”

A third person wrote, “It’s compact yet powerful, making it a great choice for daily use or travel.

“The 12000mAh capacity provides multiple charges for my phone, and the charging speed is impressive – quick and reliable.”

If you’re looking for an affordable way to stay powered up this summer, this deal might be worth a closer look.

OHOVIV Portable Charger, £15.19 (was £139.99)

Power bank deals are clearly a trend on Amazon right now: just last week, we reported on a similar portable charger that’s been slashed from £140 to £18.

Shoppers also hunting for portable sound shouldn’t miss a deal on a JBL speaker that’s been slashed by almost 40%.

Jet-setters dodging those airline fees this summer should also look at an underseat cabin backpack that’s also been reduced on Amazon.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, £52 per month on Sky Mobile

For anyone shopping around for a new handset, deals like this are a fantastic way to get more for your money.

Sky Mobile is well-known for offering affordable deals, often sweetened by boosted data plans at no extra cost.

The standout pre-order deal here is the 10GB data plan, which is boosted to 40GB for just £12 per month.

There’s nothing to pay upfront either, and with the free Buds3 Pro thrown in, this deal delivers on all fronts.

If storage is important to you, Sky Mobile is also offering a double storage deal on the Galaxy S25 Edge.

You can get 512GB worth of storage for the price of the 256GB model, just £40 a month, saving you a tidy £4.

This double storage offer ends on May 29th, so act quickly to enjoy more space for less.

The Galaxy S25 Edge itself is a standout device in the S25 series, offering a thinner, lighter design compared to the other models.

While I haven’t tested it myself, our Assistant Tech and Science Editor, Jamie Harris, has had a first-hand look at the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge.

He praised the handset for being “lighter than any iPhone 16 model around.”

There are trade-offs to achieve that smaller frame, though.

The Samsung Edge is so much lighter because it comes with a noticeably smaller battery compared to the rest of the S25 lineup.

It sports a 3,900mAh battery, compared to 4,000mAh on the Galaxy S25, but that still gets you around 24 hours of video playback with moderate use.

But for shoppers looking for one of the latest Android models without the bulk and weight of modern handsets, the Edge strikes the right balance.

The deal is only available for purchases made between May 13th 2025, and May 29th, with the headphones dispatched with your device.

We regularly round up the top data plans from all major providers, so check out our best SIM-only deals page for more savings.

Which stores have the best deals on iPhones?

In general, we find that you’ll get a better deal away from official network stores.

So browsing through the likes of MobilePhonesDirect and Affordable Mobiles is a great place to start (although it’s still worth checking out EEVodafoneO2, and Three).

And remember, if you see a great offer on a different network to yours, you can switch over and still keep your old number without too much hassle.

What is the latest iPhone?

The iPhone 16e went on general sale on Friday, February 28, 2025.

The Sun’s Tech Editor Sean Keach has tried and tested Apple’s newest smartphone and in his iPhone 16e review, he describes it as ”a phoenix rising from the ashes”.

He also praised its battery life, beautiful OLED display, and the useful Action Button that replaces the Mute Switch.

How much is the latest iPhone?

If you want to buy a standalone handset without entering a contract, the iPhone 16e starts from £599.

We’ve listed several iPhone 16e deals above, including pay-monthly options, so make sure to check them out.

What’s the cheapest iPhone to buy outright in the UK?

The cheapest iPhone to buy is the newest kid on the block, the iPhone 16e.

This smartphone, pitched as the budget option in Apple’s latest range, costs £599 on a SIM-free basis.

While it is the cheapest to buy outright, you can also get some incredible offers on refurbished models, too, with plenty of deals to be found on Amazon.

When is the next iPhone coming out?

The iPhone 17 Air model is expected to be released alongside Apple’s 17th line-up in September – if the rumours hold true.

The new alleged design measures just 5.5mm at its thinnest point.

When is the best time to buy an iPhone?

Every time Apple releases a new phone, each previous generation of the iPhone generally goes down in price.

So if you’re looking for a newer device without having to break open the piggy bank, it might be worth looking at a slightly older generation, like the iPhone 15, to save a few quid.

Since the release of the iPhone 16, many retailers have reduced the price of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 14.

As long as you don’t have to have the latest iPhone, go back a generation or two around the Apple launches, and you can save yourself a bundle.

It’s also worth shopping around to see if you can bag any spring savings or Easter offers.

John Lewis has launched its Spring Savings event, and there are plenty of iPhone offers to explore.

In addition to slashing the cost of select Apple models, shoppers can enjoy free next-day delivery when they buy a new smartphone.

Very has also slashed the cost of several smartphones ahead of Easter, and that’s not all.

Shoppers can claim up to £560 when they trade in their old device.

Our Tech Editor adds: ”If you can overlook a couple of minor niggles (lack of MagSafe and a price increase) then you’ll be able to bag one of the best-value smartphones available today.”

The Action Button replaced the Mute Switch on the iPhone 15 Pro in 2023.

Both models feature impressive displays, with the Pro boasting a 6.3-inch display, and the Pro Max has a 6.9-inch panel – that’s the biggest on any iPhone ever.

There’s also a new 48-megapixel Fusion camera that’s capable of shooting 4K video in Dolby Vision at 120 frames per second, and you can capture footage at 4K120fps in Slow-Mo.

You’ll also enjoy a new Ceramic Shield on the outside that’s supposed to be 50% tougher than the original version.

Like the Pro models, there’s a new A18 chip inside and an impressive camera system.

Powered by the advanced A17 Pro chip for exceptional performance – ideal if you’re a gamer, thanks to Apple’s best graphics yet.

Both feature Super Retina XDR displays with ProMotion technology, enhancing visual fluidity.

The Pro Max stands out with its larger 6.7-inch screen compared to the Pro’s 6.1-inch display, offering a more expansive viewing experience.

Camera capabilities are also superior in the Pro Max, including a 5x optical zoom (the longest optical zoom of any iPhone ever) versus the Pro’s 3x which let’s face it; is still really impressive.

Both models feature a titanium frame for enhanced durability and reduced weight, which Apple boasts uses ‘the same alloy that spacecraft use for missions to Mars’.

There’s also an Action button which you can set as a fast track to your favourite feature, and up to 20x faster file transfers courtesy of the new USB 3 capabilities.

Three iPhone models were discontinued after Apple announced the iPhone 16 line-up.

As such, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max were discontinued.

However, both models are available to buy from retailers such as Amazon.

iPhone 15 / iPhone 15 Plus

Two hands holding iPhone 15 models with abstract wallpapers.

iPhone 15, £699 and iPhone 15 Plus, £799

Pros

  • Next-generation portraits with Focus and Depth Control

  • Splash, water and dust resistant
  • All-day battery life
  • USB-C connector means you can use the same cable as the one for your Mac or iPad

Cons

  • No always-on display on the iPhone 15
  • No improvement to charging speed
  • A16 Bionic chip is the same as before
  • The dynamic island is either a love-it-or-hate-it feature

Both bring significant upgrades, offering enhanced performance and efficiency.

Each model features a Super Retina XDR display, providing vibrant colours and high brightness levels.

The improved dual-camera system includes a 48MP main sensor for superior photo and video quality, along with advanced photography features.

Design-wise, they retain the sleek aesthetic of previous models, with ceramic shield front covers for durability.

The key difference is in their sizes: the iPhone 15 has a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 15 Plus boasts a larger 6.7-inch screen, offering a more immersive viewing experience.

Battery life also varies, with the iPhone 15 Plus providing longer usage due to its larger size.

Both models support USB-C for faster charging and connectivity.

Overall, you can expect a winning blend of performance, design, and camera enhancements from whichever one you opt for.

iPhone 14 Pro Max

Refurbished silver iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Refurbished iPhone 14 Pro Max, £759

Features: 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, IP68 dust/water resistant, 6GB RAM. Quad main cameras: 48 MP Main, 12 MP wide, 12 MP 2x Telephoto, 12 MP 3x Telephoto, TOF 3D LiDAR scanner. Dual front cameras: 48 MP Main and 12 MP wide. A16 Bionic chip, Qi fast wireless charging 15W, and 5G Capabilities.

Pros

  • Best durability on an iPhone
  • Class-leading camera
  • Outstanding speakers

Cons

  • The dynamic island is either a love-it-or-hate-it feature
  • Heavy and larger than most smartphones
  • Slow to charge

The iPhone 14 Pro Max is the predecessor to the iPhone 15 series and features an A16 Bionic chip, a 6-core CPU with two performance and 4 efficiency cores, as well as dynamic island.

The camera system is incredibly standout: there’s a 48 MP Main, 12 MP Ultra Wide, and 12 MP telephoto.

The front camera is 12 MP and now features autofocus.

When it comes to capturing video, it can record videos in cinematic mode in 4k HDR.

There’s also an Action Mode setting that helps capture videos of high-speed action.

Apple no longer produces the iPhone 14 Pro Max, so you’ll have to shop around to get your hands on a refurbished device.

iPhone 14 Pro

iPhone 13 in multiple colors.

iPhone 14 Pro, £754.47

Features: 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, IP68 dust/water resistant, 6GB RAM. Quad main cameras: 48 MP Main, 12 MP wide, 12 MP 2x Telephoto, 12 MP 3x Telephoto, TOF 3D LiDAR scanner. Dual front cameras: 48 MP Main and 12 MP wide. A16 Bionic chip, Qi fast wireless charging 15W, and 5G Capabilities.

Pros

  • Impressive 48-megapixel camera
  • Gains the always-on feature
  • Compact design

Cons

  • The camera isn’t a huge step up from the 13 series
  • 3x optical zoom is low for a pro model
  • The camera is large for a smaller device

The iPhone 14 Pro is almost identical to the iPhone 14 Pro Max other than its smaller screen of 6.1 inches.

Both models have a Super Retina XDR display with Pro Motion that allows the Always-On display feature to be possible for the first time.

The iPhone 14 Pro also features the first-ever 48 MP camera on iPhone.

The introduction of the Photonic Engine, which improves low-light photos, is another stellar feature and is included on all the iPhone 14 models.

Security has been a priority for the new phones, and they now all come with emergency SOS via satellite.

Apple also no longer produces iPhone 14 Pros, so we recommend shopping around if you have this model in mind.

iPhone 14 Plus

Close-up of the yellow iPhone 14 camera system.

iPhone 14 Plus, £549

Features: 6.7-inch all-screen OLED display, IP68 dust/water resistant, 6GB RAM. Dual-camera system: 12 MP Main, 12 MP Ultra Wide, 2x optical zoom out, 5x digital zoom, Dual front cameras: 12 MP Main and 12 MP wide. A15 Bionic chip, Qi fast wireless charging 15W, and 5G Capabilities.

Pros

  • Bigger display for less than the Pro Max
  • Great battery life
  • The camera is on par with Android’s cameras

Cons

  • Only comes with a 60Hz display
  • No telephoto lens
  • Could benefit from faster charging

Similar to the iPhone Pro Max, the iPhone 14 Plus features a large 6.7-inch screen.

Many of the iPhone 14 Plus features are similar to previous models, but there are a few notable improvements, such as the 5-core GPU and Bluetooth 5.3.

The camera updates also mean that photo quality will be improved slightly, especially in situations with poor lighting.

There’s also a new darker blue colour option that doesn’t exist for the iPhone 13.

iPhone 14

iPhone 14 in multiple colors.

iPhone 14, £469

Features: 6.1-inch all-screen OLED display, IP68 dust/water resistant, 6GB RAM. Dual-camera system: 12 MP Main, 12 MP Ultra Wide, 2x optical zoom out, 5x digital zoom, Dual front cameras: 12 MP Main and 12 MP wide. A15 Bionic chip, Qi fast wireless charging 15W, and 5G Capabilities.

Pros

  • Great OLED display and Dolby Vision
  • Impressive speakers and output
  • The selfie camera now comes with autofocus

Cons

  • Not a huge step up from the iPhone 13 series
  • Low refresh rate at just 60Hz
  • Fast charging could be better

At a step up from the iPhone 13, you’ll find the iPhone 14.

The main difference between the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Plus is the screen size: the iPhone 14 measures 6.1 inches, the same as previous models.

If you’re not too fussed over a larger screen but are keen on an upgrade, then the iPhone 14 is the way to go.

The phone has 5G capabilities and offers fast charging.

The battery has also been slightly optimised to last longer.

There is a range of five colours – Blue, Purple, Midnight, Starlight and Red.

iPhone 13

iPhone 13 in various colors.

iPhone 13, £399

Features: 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, IP68 dust/water resistant, 4GB RAM. Dual main cameras: 12 MP wide, 12 MP ultrawide. Dual front cameras: 12 MP wide and SL 3D depth/biometrics sensor. A15 Bionic chip, Qi fast wireless charging 15W, and 5G Capabilities.

Pros

  • Impressive battery life
  • Excellent camera for a base model
  • Great all-round performance

Cons

  • Capped at 60Hz refresh rate
  • No upgrade to the selfie camera
  • No major design changes

The screen size of the iPhone 13 is the same as the Pro, together with its A15 Bionic chip processor and 5G connectivity capabilities.

The iPhone 13 has two main cameras instead of four, and its RAM is 4GB against the 6GB of the Pro and Pro Max.

Apple discontinued the iPhone 13 in September 2024.

iPhone SE 2022

iPhone SE in red, white, and black.

iPhone SE (2022), £429

Features: 4.7-inch Retina HD display, Water and dust resistant, 12MP Wide camera, next-generation Smart HDR, and 4K video, 7MP front camera, Touch ID, A15 Bionic chip, Wireless charging, 5G

  • Is long-wearing with years of software updates
  • 5G compatible

Cons

  • Capped at 64GB base storage
  • Tired looking design
  • No night-mode photography

The 2022 version of the iPhone SE features solid specs, a good camera and a wide choice of apps on the Apple Store.

Want a cool iPhone without spending a fortune? This is the one for you thanks to its fast processor and 5G capabilities.

More handsets

It is pretty standard procedure for the predecessor of a flagship to be discontinued, as Apple wants you to go for the most recent model instead.

However, these devices can still be widely purchased from other stockists as well as refurbished sites.

We’ve found some of the best ones below.

iPhone 13 Pro Max

iPhone 13 Pro Max in blue.

iPhone 13 Pro Max (refurbished), £679

Features: 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, IP68 dust/water resistant, 6GB RAM. Quad main cameras: 12 MP wide, 12 MP telephoto, 12 MP ultrawide, TOF 3D LiDAR scanner. Dual front cameras: 12 MP wide and SL 3D depth/biometrics sensor. A15 Bionic chip, Qi fast wireless charging 15W, and 5G Capabilities.

Pros

  • Comes with a 3x optical zoom telephoto lens
  • Excellent performance
  • Impressive 120Hz ProMotion screen

Cons

  • No on-off setting for macro photography
  • The large design may be offputting to some
  • Only capable of 1080p cinematic mode

The iPhone 13 Pro Max is a real powerhouse, with the blazing-fast A15 Bionic chip and a smaller notch.

The cameras here are particularly remarkable, with a 6x optical zoom range and Dolby Vision HDR video recording up to 60fps in 4K.

The LiDAR scanner enables night-mode portraits, faster autofocus in low light and enhanced Augmented Reality (AR) experiences.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max is also compatible with MagSafe accessories and wireless chargers.

iPhone 13 Pro

iPhone 13 Pro in blue.

iPhone 13 Pro (refurbished), £589

Features: 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, IP68 dust/water resistant, 6GB RAM. Quad main cameras: 12 MP wide, 12 MP telephoto, 12 MP ultrawide, TOF 3D LiDAR scanner. Dual front cameras: 12 MP wide and SL 3D depth/biometrics sensor. A15 Bionic chip, Qi fast wireless charging 15W, and 5G Capabilities.

Pros

  • Compact design for a high-end device
  • The camera and video are impressive all-round
  • Bright OLED display and 120Hz refresh rate

Cons

  • Heavy for a compact device
  • No major design changes from the 12 series
  • Battery life could be better for a Pro handset

A little step down from the top of the iPhone ladder, the iPhone 13 Pro shares a lot of hardware with its bigger brother, including the whole camera compartment.

The main difference here is the 6.1-inch screen, as opposed to the 6.7-inch of the Pro Max.

A smaller phone means a smaller battery, and so the iPhone 13 Pro offers up to 22 hours of video playback on a single charge (the Pro Max should last up to 28 hours).

All in all, the iPhone 13 Pro is still a serious flagship device, and if you don’t mind a smaller screen, it’s worth scoring a saving.

iPhone 13 mini

Red iPhone 13 mini.

iPhone 13 mini (refurbished), £379

Features: 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, IP68 dust/water resistant, 4GB RAM. Dual main cameras: 12 MP wide, 12 MP ultrawide. Dual front cameras: 12 MP wide and SL 3D depth/biometrics sensor. A15 Bionic chip, Qi fast wireless charging 15W, and 5G Capabilities.

Pros

  • Same performance as the iPhone 13 in a compact design
  • Large 128GB base storage
  • Bright display

Cons

  • Lacks a telephoto zoom lens
  • Capped at 60Hz refresh rate
  • The notch looks clunky on the smaller handset

With a substantially smaller screen, this 5.4-inch iPhone still comes with all the perks of the iPhone 13 family.

Featuring the same cameras as the iPhone 13, the mini offers wireless fast charging, 5G capabilities, and a wonderful Super Retina XDR OLED display.

The battery is a bit smaller than the iPhone 13, but with the A15 Bionic chip, you won’t suffer any lag or find apps slowing down.

Just like its older sibling, the mini comes in Black, White, Pink, Red, and Blue colours.

iPhone 12

iPhone 12 in black, white, red, and light green.

iPhone 12 (refurbished) £208.95

Features: 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, IP68 dust/water resistant, 4GB RAM. Dual main cameras: 12 MP wide, 12 MP ultrawide. Dual front cameras: 12 MP wide and SL 3D depth/biometrics sensor. A14 Bionic chip, Qi fast wireless charging 15W, and 5G Capabilities.

Pros

  • Comes with MagSafe charging
  • Solid battery life
  • Excellent camera

Cons

  • Capped at 64GB base storage
  • Only has a 60Hz refresh rate
  • No major performance upgrades

Before the Pro and Pro Max versions of iPhones debuted, Apple used to consider its now-base models as flagships.

The iPhone 12 is essentially that, minus a few perks reserved for the Pro and Pro Max. The screen size of the iPhone 12 is the same as the Pro, together with its A14 Bionic chip processor and 5G connectivity.

The iPhone 12 has two front cameras instead of four, however, and its RAM is 4GB against the 6GB of the Pro and Pro Max.

The optical range of the iPhone 12 is 2X, and the device does not have LiDAR scanner capabilities included in newer models.

Other than that, the iPhone 12 is not very different from the Pro, sharing the same battery life as well as a ceramic shield front.

iPhone 12 mini

iPhone 12 mini in blue.

iPhone 12 mini (refurbished), £158

Features: 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, IP68 dust/water resistant, 4GB RAM. Dual main cameras: 12 MP wide, 12 MP ultrawide. Dual front cameras: 12 MP wide and SL 3D depth/biometrics sensor. A14 Bionic chip, Qi fast wireless charging 15W, and 5G Capabilities.

Pros

  • Compact design
  • 5G connectivity
  • Comes with the A14 Bionic chipset

Cons

  • Below-average battery life
  • No telephoto lens
  • Clunky looking design

With a substantially smaller screen, this 5.4-inch iPhone still offers most of the perks of the iPhone 12 family.

Featuring the same cameras as the iPhone 12, the mini features wireless fast charging, 5G capabilities, and a gorgeous Super Retina XDR OLED display.

The battery is a bit smaller than the iPhone 12, but with the A14 Bionic chip, you won’t experience any apps slowing down using this iPhone.

iPhone 12 Pro Max

iPhone 11 Pro Max in gold.

iPhone 12 Pro Max, (refurbished) £308.50

Features: 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, IP68 dust/water resistant, 6GB RAM. Quad main cameras: 12 MP wide, 12 MP telephoto, 12 MP ultrawide, TOF 3D LiDAR scanner. Dual front cameras: 12 MP wide and SL 3D depth/biometrics sensor. A14 Bionic chip, Qi fast wireless charging 15W, and 5G Capabilities.

With the very fast A14 Bionic chip and an overhauled design, the Pro Max is a modern flagship in its own right.

The camera compartment is more than solid, with a 5x optical zoom range and Dolby Vision HDR video recording up to 60fps.

Just like in the iPhone 13, the LiDAR scanner enables Night Mode portraits, faster autofocus in low light and enhanced Augmented Reality (AR) experiences.

The iPhone 12 Pro Max is also compatible with MagSafe accessories and the majority of wireless chargers on the market.

iPhone 12 Pro

iPhone 12 Pro in Sierra Blue, shown in two sizes.

iPhone 12 Pro (refurbished), £255

Features: 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, IP68 dust/water resistant, 6GB RAM. Quad main cameras: 12 MP wide, 12 MP telephoto, 12 MP ultrawide, TOF 3D LiDAR scanner. Dual front cameras: 12 MP wide and SL 3D depth/biometrics sensor. A14 Bionic chip, Qi fast wireless charging 15W, and 5G Capabilities.

The iPhone 12 Pro shares a lot of hardware with the Pro Max.

The main difference here is the 6.1-inch screen, as opposed to the 6.7-inch of the Pro Max.

The camera compartment is also quite similar, with the only difference being a 4x optical zoom range in the Pro against the 5x in the Pro Max.

The iPhone 12 Pro’s battery is also slightly smaller than the Pro Max, offering up to 17 hours of video playback on a single charge.

iPhone 11

Hand holding several iPhones in different colors.

iPhone 11, (refurbished) £155

Features6.1” Liquid Retina HD display1, Glass and aluminum design, Dual 12MP Ultra Wide and Wide cameras with Night mode, 12MP TrueDepth camera with 4K video recording at up to 60 fps, Face ID, A13 Bionic chip with third-generation Neural Engine, Lasts up to 1 hour longer than iPhone XR, Water resistant to a depth of 2 metres for up to 30 minutes

Pros

  • Impressive battery life
  • Unique colour options
  • Dual camera with an ultra-wide-angle lens

Cons

  • No telephoto lens on the base model
  • Capped at 64GB base storage
  • Not the best display

While it still has many of the same features as its Pro and Pro Max variants, the iPhone 11’s £429 price is over £100 cheaper than the iPhone 12.

A reduction in price does mean a slight reduction in quality: while its 6.1″ screen is slightly larger than the iPhone 11 Pro, it’s a little smaller than the Pro Max, and it doesn’t match the premium models for battery life either,

As well as having a standard LED (as opposed to an OLED) screen, the 11 is only waterproof to two metres rather than four and lacks the telephoto camera that features on the Pro and Pro Max.

However, you still get most of Apple’s most recent innovations for a reduced price, including top-quality cameras, processors and a long-lasting battery.

While there are phones out there with more impressive features, such as the cameras on a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, you’ll struggle to beat the mix of features and value they offer.

Are refurbished iPhones a good buy?

Getting a refurbished iPhone can be a big cost saver.

Even the more affordable iPhones will be a hefty hit to your bank balance if you pay for them outright.

But there are plenty of places around the web, including Amazon and Apple’s website, that offer refurbished iPhones for a fraction of their regular price.

Whether or not they’re a good buy, though, comes down to the individual provider.

Apple, for instance, includes all cables with its refurbished phones, along with a one-year manufacturer warranty, which is useful if your phone develops a fault.

Amazon offers even better prices with similar quality, along with its own ‘Amazon Renewed Guarantee’, which we reckon should be pretty reliable, considering the size of the company.

Which networks offer iPhone deals?

Which iPhone has the best battery?

The iPhone 16 Pro Max boasts the ‘best’ battery among all iPhone models.

It has a large battery and an energy-efficient A18 Pro chip – so you can enjoy extended periods of video playback, gaming, and internet use without frequent recharging.

Which iPhone should I buy?

Choosing the ‘right’ iPhone depends on your needs and budget.

If you’re after top-tier performance, advanced camera capabilities, and the best battery life, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is ideal.

For a similar premium experience in a more manageable size, consider the iPhone 16 Pro.

Both models offer a balanced blend of features and value, with the Plus providing a larger screen and better battery life.

Meanwhile, if you’re on a tighter budget, previous models like the iPhone 16e still deliver solid performance at a lower cost.

Overall, consider your priorities in terms of performance, size, and budget and you’ll be able to make the best choice.

How much are iPhones?

iPhone prices vary based on the model and storage capacity.

Flagship phones from Apple always come with a hefty price tag to match, so if you’re looking for the recent releases – the iPhone 16 Pro Max – you’ll be looking at spending £1,199, while the Pro version costs £999.

The iPhone 16e is priced at £599, the iPhone 16 starts at £799, and the larger iPhone 16 Plus starts at £899.

The iPhone 15 is also available, and prices start from £699, and the iPhone 15 Plus prices start from £799.

What’s the cheapest way to buy an iPhone?

Picking the right time of the year can surely help you save some money.

Apple does not offer substantial discounts at any specific point during the year, but network retailers’ prices usually go down at the beginning of the summer and at Christmas time.

This way, even if you don’t save on the iPhone per se, you can get some heavy discounts on your data and calls to plan, thus saving you quite a bit of cash in the long run.

In addition, if you don’t have to own the latest Apple handset, you can get an iPhone from two to three years back at a substantially lower price than a flagship.

How to find the best iPhone deal

There are a few official network stores worth checking regularly, including EEVodafoneO2, and Three.

However, we find that the best deals are usually to be found in other online stores.

Here are our favourites:

Is it better to buy an iPhone outright or pay monthly?

It really depends on whether you need flexibility on your plan or not and if you have the cash to pay for the full cost of the handset (phone) upfront.

While you can save on a good data plan, you are also signing a contract binding you to that network for one or more years.

This means that, even if you find a better plan deal later, you cannot switch to it unless you pay hefty fees.

On the other hand, many providers today offer handy upgrade plans allowing you to get a new iPhone as soon as it comes out.

The choice, then, is ultimately up to you.

If you have the cash and think of changing your network plan quite often, then buying an iPhone outright may be the best option for you.

If, on the other hand, you’re happy with a certain network provider and always want to have the latest iPhone, a monthly offer may work better for you.

Is it better to buy an iPhone from Apple or a network?

Both Apple and network carriers today offer monthly, no-money-down instalment plans, most of them spread over two years.

While the overall price of iPhones is essentially the same when purchased like this, Apple charges a little more to include AppleCare+ or AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss options, while network providers offer various insurance plans.

That being said, an iPhone bought from Apple can be used with any network, while carriers usually lock their iPhones for the length of their contract so it may be the slightly better option if you’re still shopping around for the perfect SIM-only plan.

Which is better: an iPhone or a Samsung phone?

Galaxy devices have gone a long way since the days of the first Android phones, but can they compete with iPhones?

The short answer is yes, but it depends on what you value the most.

In terms of screen, cameras, and prices, the latest iPhones and Galaxy phones are toe-to-toe.

The biggest difference here is undoubtedly the operating system (OS).

If you have other Apple devices in the house (like Macs and iPads), then iOS can provide great integration capabilities.

Similarly, if you have an Android TV or Chromebook, you may want to opt for a Galaxy phone.

Another differentiator is that Apple devices don’t come with a micro-SD card to expand the internal storage, while Galaxy phones do.

With cloud storage plans becoming cheaper and more widespread, however, the 512GB of the iPhone 13 is enough for most people.

For context, with ‘just’ 128GB, you can store up to 6000 songs or 64 high-quality films – that’s a lot of space.
