Irish rap group Kneecap cancels U.S. tour, citing court date

Irish rap group Kneecap has canceled all U.S. dates on its upcoming tour after its fiery criticism of Israel and advocacy for Palestinian causes brought legal trouble and criticism.

“To all our US based fans, we have some bad news,” the trio said in a statement. “Due to the close proximity of our next court hearing in London on September 26 — as the British government continues its witch-hunt — with the start of the U.S. tour, we will have to cancel all 15 U.S. tour dates in October. With every show fully sold out this is news we are sad to deliver. But once we win our court case, which we will, we promise to embark on an even bigger tour to all you great heads.”

The U.K. court hearing stems from charges that Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, who performs under the stage name Mo Chara, allegedly displayed a flag in support of terror group Hezbollah at a show in London last year. (Ó hAnnaidh has denied the charges and said the band does not support Hezbollah).

The band’s Canadian shows will continue as scheduled.

The status of Kneecap’s U.S. tour was already shaky after it split from booking agency (and visa sponsor) Independent Artist Group in April following a Coachella performance that included intense criticism of the Israeli government and its attacks on Gaza.

The band also drew the ire of local British police after its recent Glastonbury performance, which included similar Palestinian advocacy that prompted an investigation but as of yet no charges.

Inside My Life With The Walter Boys season 2 release date and new cast after steamy finale

My Life With The Walter Boys season two is on the horizon and Netflix has already renewed the hit teenage drama for a third outing.

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from My Life With The Walter Boys.

Netflix’s My Life With The Walter Boys season two is on its way and fans are chomping at the bit to get all the juicy details.

The life of Jackie Howard (portrayed by Nikki Rodriguez) took a dramatic turn in the first series when she was compelled to leave New York and move in with her mum’s best mate Katherine Walter (Sarah Rafferty) in Silver Falls, Colorado, following the tragic demise of her family.

She had no idea that she would be sharing a roof with nine lads, including two nephews, and Katherine and George’s (Marc Blucas) only daughter Parker Walter (Alix West Lefler).

What came as an even bigger surprise was the budding love triangle between herself, the gentle-hearted Alex (Ashby Gentry), and the seemingly rebellious Cole Walter (Noah LaLonde).

But what’s next after Jackie’s passionate kiss with Cole before her abrupt departure from Silver Falls?

Netflix has also already given the green light for a third instalment of the drama, with production for My Life With The Walter Boys season three already in progress.

My Life With The Walter Boys season two cast

All the main stars from the inaugural series will be back for the second run of My Life With The Walter Boys.

This includes Rodriguez reprising her role as Jackie, LaLonde as Cole, Gentry as Alex, and Rafferty as Katherine.

Other stars returning to their roles include Marc Blucas as George, Johnny Link as Will, Connor Stanhope as Danny, Corey Fogelmanis as Nathan and Ellie O’Brien as Grace.

Several fresh faces are joining the cast this series, featuring actress Natalie Sharp as champion rodeo rider Blake Hartford, Carson MacCormac as charming senior Zach, Joanne Wagner as Grace’s traditional mum, Riele Downs as “flirty” Maria and Jake Manley as competitive rodeo rider Wylder Holt.

What to expect from My Life With The Walter Boys season two

Jackie will be heading back to Silver Falls following her summer stint in New York, a spontaneous journey triggered by her kiss with Cole.

She’ll be attempting to rebuild her bond with Alex, establishing limits with Cole and seeking to rediscover her position within the Walter household.

Meanwhile, Alex will be concentrating on rodeo preparation whilst Cole continues to grapple with losing his football identity and quickly reverts to previous patterns.

There’s also drama brewing for George and Will as their scheme to transform their farm into a commercial venture doesn’t receive a warm reception from all community members.

My Life With The Walter Boys season two launches on Thursday, August 28, on Netflix.

Disney+ sets free streaming date for Marvel’s ‘best movie of 2025’ – and it’s not Fantastic Four

Marvel fans say this blockbuster was their best movie of 2025 and you’ll soon be able to stream it at no extra cost

Disney+ will soon be streaming one of the best comic book movies of the year at no extra charge.

The film is currently available to rent or buy at home, though you’ll still have to pay up to £13.99 on platforms such as Apple TV, Prime Video and Sky Store.

Thankfully, there’s not long to wait until Disney+ users will be able to stream the film whenever they want without paying anything on top of their monthly subscription.

Comic book fans have called it one of Marvel Studios’ best blockbusters in years – and, no, it’s not the recently released The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Instead, we’re talking about Thunderbolts*, which is set to debut exclusively on Disney+ on Wednesday, 27th August.

Starring Florence Pugh, David Harbour and Sebastian Stan, the film follows an unlikely team of heroes and villains from across the Marvel universe who reluctantly team up to protect the Earth from a dangerous and unpredictable new threat.

Pugh returns as Yelena Belova, the new Black Widow, an elite mercenary who is struggling to find her place in the world when the enigmatic Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus) entrusts her with an important but suspicious new mission.

Following a period of disappointment for the superhero franchise, both box office and critical, Marvel fans were pleasantly surprised when Thunderbolts* burst onto the big screen back in April.

One five-star Google review described the film as an “absolute gem of the superhero genre”.

“If you’re looking for a fresh, high-octane adventure with a unique twist, Thunderbolts is exactly what you’ve been waiting for,” they went on to promise.

“This story is a masterclass in reimagining the traditional superhero team-up, featuring a lineup of antiheroes, former villains, and morally ambiguous characters who are forced to work together for a common cause.”

Someone else gushed: “Thunderbolts* was an incredible surprise. This movie fixes so many of the problems that recent MCU projects have suffered from.

“It actually feels like one director was in charge of this, not a committee of executives. The humor also feels natural, not forced.

Disney+ has added La Liga football to its line-up, with fans able to stream the games with a Disney+ subscription from £4.99

“Which makes everything better. It doesn’t feel like this movie was reworked and reshot a thousand times. The characters are also great. Every actor is doing their absolute best and their chemistry is great.”

Another die-hard fan raved on X: “Had the time of my life with #thunderbolts! One of the best mcu projects in recent years.

“The movie does an outstanding job of exploring its themes surrounding mental health. I absolutely love [the] team and their dynamic, I cared so much about all of them. Easy 10/10.”

And a final viewer admitted: “Shocked how good THUNDERBOLTS* is. Putting emphasis on the character work and practical action makes this feel like the old Marvel that had us for a decade plus.

“Wish we’d gotten this sooner. Helps that this dysfunctional team has chemistry too.”

Will you be checking out Thunderbolts* for the first time or giving the film a much-deserved rewatch next week?

Thunderbolts* will be available to stream on Disney+ from Wednesday, 27th August.

On ‘New Heights,’ Taylor Swift reveals ‘Life of a Showgirl’ release date

Taylor Swift will enter her latest era in a matter of months.

The ubiquitous “Shake It Off” pop star announced her upcoming album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” would drop Oct. 3 as she made her podcasting debut Wednesday on “New Heights,” co-hosted by her NFL star boyfriend Travis Kelce and his retired football pro brother, Jason Kelce. The Grammy winner also unveiled the album’s tracklist, which touts a finale featuring Sabrina Carpenter.

“It was something I was working on while I was in Europe on the Eras tour,” she explained to the Kelce brothers. “I was physically exhausted at this point on the tour, but I was so mentally stimulated and so excited to be creating.”

Swift revealed her 12th album was imminent earlier this week in a teaser promoting the latest “New Heights” episode. In the clip, she pulls a blurred-out record out of a briefcase decorated simply with her initials.

“The Life of a Showgirl” will be her second record in two years — following last year’s “The Tortured Poets Department” — and her first release since reacquiring the rights to her early recordings in May.

That was a move that “changed my life,” she said Wednesday.

After one year, this MLB postseason schedule innovation is no longer

The World Series could end in November this year. Major League Baseball can do without all the “Mr. November” jokes, so the league took a creative step last year: a flexible start date for the World Series.

It’s not easy to cram a four-round postseason in a month. But it’s even less ideal if the World Series teams roll through the league championship series, then sit around for close to a week before the World Series starts.

MLB unveiled this creative reform last year: If both World Series teams complete the league championship series in no more than five games, the start of the World Series would move up three days. Nothing kills interest in an everyday sport like a week off before the most important games of the season.

The reform did not come into play last season. Although the New York Yankees won the American League Championship Series in five games, the Dodgers needed six games to complete the NLCS.

When MLB announced its postseason schedule Tuesday, the flexible start date for the World Series was gone. With the Dodgers coming within one victory of making that happen last season, league officials and television partners had the chance to prepare for two possibilities for the start of the World Series. The uncertainty of what date to promote, and the need for alternate travel plans and hotel blocks, left the parties with the thought that a fixed date for the World Series remained a better plan.

The World Series this year is set to start on Friday, Oct. 24, with a possible Game 7 on Saturday, Nov. 1.

The wild-card round starts Tuesday, Sept. 30, with the division series round starting Saturday, Oct. 4. The teams with the top two records in each league earn a bye in the first round and advance directly to the division series.

If the postseason started Tuesday, the Dodgers (68-51) would be the No. 3 seed in the NL, behind the Milwaukee Brewers (74-44) and the Philadelphia Phillies (69-49). The wild card teams, in order of seed, would be the Chicago Cubs (67-50), San Diego Padres (67-52) and the New York Mets (63-55).

In that scenario, the Dodgers and Mets — the NLCS combatants last season — would meet in the wild-card round this season.

Alien: Earth release date, cast, trailer and plot as Xenomorphs return

Alien: Earth is the latest instalment in the Alien franchise and is set to arrive on Disney+ in just a week’s time

Alien: Earth, the eagerly awaited TV extension of the iconic Alien franchise, takes its cues from Ridley Scott’s seminal 1979 horror film.

Hot on the heels of last year’s Alien: Romulus, the blood-curdling space thriller is back with a vengeance, offering another chilling perspective on the lethal Xenomorphs.

This eight-part series springs from the creative genius of showrunner Noah Hawley, celebrated for his work on Fargo and Legion, both critically lauded reinterpretations of the Coen Brothers’ eponymous film and the X-Men universe.

Hawley is gearing up to unveil his latest FX collaboration shortly, with Alien: Earth set to land on Disney+ and Hulu in just a week’s time, ready to send shivers down the spines of fans across the globe.

As the new series stands on the brink of becoming another streaming sensation, let’s delve into what we know so far about this enigmatic extension of the Alien narrative, reports the Express.

What happens in Alien: Earth?

While most plot details remain shrouded in mystery, fans can glean a rough idea of what the first season holds from its brief synopsis.

Confirmed as a prequel set two years prior to the original Alien film, it sees a terrifying alien menace pitted against an unlikely band of heroes following a catastrophic collision with Earth.

The synopsis teases: “When the space vessel Maginot crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s biggest threat.”

Is there a trailer for Alien: Earth?

Eager Alien fans can now feast their eyes on the thrilling new series with a two-minute trailer that dropped in early June.

The gripping teaser, launched with the ominous words “We were safer in space”, introduces Wendy’s character as the first-ever hybrid leading a squad of synthetic-humans on a daring rescue mission in the wake of the Maginot’s downfall.

Moreover, the trailer unveils a pivotal twist for the Alien saga, revealing that the Xenomorph wasn’t the only creature aboard the ship; four other entities from the “darkest corners of the universe” are also set to unleash chaos on Earth.

Alien: Earth premieres Tuesday, 12th August on FX and FX on Hulu and Wednesday, 13th August on Disney+.

Princess Andre TV show start date: when does The Princess Diaries air?

Princess Andre was born into the world of celebrity as the daughter of showbiz legends Katie Price and Peter Andre. But now, she’s stepping into the limelight in her own right with her own show The Princess Diaries. The starlet, who recently celebrated her 18th birthday, is set to open up about how her parents’ estranged relationship has affected her through her childhood and teenage years amongst other things when the series goes to air.

The first episode will air on Sunday 10 August at 9pm on ITV2, and viewers who are so captured by the new series will be able to watch the whole thing as a boxset on ITVX as well. And in the new series, the teenager has shared things haven’t always been easy for her.

In the first episode, Princess opened up about why she felt she could never speak to her dad, Peter, 52, about her mum following their bitter split and the fact they haven’t spoken in years. Peter and Katie famously met when they competed on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004. Within a year, they married and had Junior, 20, in June 2005. It comes after her mum Katie Price worried fans with appearance in family photo after explaining weight loss.

Princess followed in 2007 but the couple eventually called it quits in 2009 after four years of marriage. These days, Peter is married to Emily Andre and has Theo, Amelia and Arabella with her whilst Katie has Jett and Bunny with Kieran Hayler, and was already mum to Harvey, 23, with Dwight Yorke by the time she met Peter. Princess has addressed traumatic memories of her glamour model mum Katie’s divorce from Pete as well as her other very public relationships

In a candid confession on the series, its title a reference to the 2001 Disney classic starring Anne Hathaway and the young adult novel of the same name, Princess said: “I did have a counsellor, I do still see her every now and then.

“But I don’t feel like I can really talk, so I just write everything down in my notes. I do wish, like, I could have had a more happier childhood. In the sense of like, I had so many things on my plate at a young age.”

Princess said she wishes she “wasn’t like that” and that she had things lingering at the back of her mind while being very young. She did acknowledge “good times” in her childhood and discussed Katie’s split from Kieran Hayler when she was 10 years old.

Katie and Kieran were married for eight years but had a rocky relationship, with accusations of infidelity. They officially split in May 2018 but were married from 2013 to 2021, and Katie is now in a relationship with former Married At First Sight star JJ Slater.

However, Princess admitted when speaking of her mum’s previous breakup: “My mum, obviously being heartbroken, didn’t deal with that in the best way, she went through a very, very dark time, which is understandable,” Princess shared.

Revealing how the tough time also had an impact on her, she added: “Which is hard for me because I was around adulty things that kids should never see and I think as well, when we needed our mum there, she wasn’t emotionally able to be there because she had so much of her own problems going on.”

She heartbreakingly shared how she would return from school early to “get into bed and cry”. Princess said she is close to her dad Pete, but would never speak to him about her pain.

The model confessed she has “always grown up knowing my mum and dad don’t like each other.” Princess added: “I wouldn’t say I’m fully, fully recovered from it but mum is such a different person and if you put her now to back then, she’s genuinely really fixed herself.”

Exact date new passport rules come into force for Brits holidaying abroad

The EU is introducing a new entry and exit system (EES) from October 12, meaning Brits will face a new set of passport rules when travelling to Europe

The Foreign Office has refreshed its travel guidance concerning new passport rules being implemented across all Schengen nations, including popular holiday destinations such as Italy, Spain, France and Greece. The EU is introducing a new entry and exit system (EES), which will come into force on October 12.

Once EES goes live, holidaymakers will need to create a digital record during their first trip to the Schengen zone at the port or airport upon arrival. Tourists will be required to provide fingerprints and have photographs taken at specially designated booths.

No prior information will be needed before journeying to a Schengen area country. Passengers flying to Schengen destinations may face longer queues when they reach their location. This comes after a warning to Brit tourists planning all-inclusive holidays to Spain.

The latest passport requirements

Issuing new guidance before its introduction, the GOV.UK website states your passport must show a ‘date of issue’ less than 10 years before your arrival date, reports Cambridgeshire Live.

The guidance explained: “If you renewed your passport before October 1, 2018, it may have a date of issue that is more than 10 years ago. It must have an ‘expiry date’ at least three months after the day you plan to leave the Schengen area (the expiry date does not need to be within 10 years of the date of issue).”

“Check with your travel provider that your passport and other travel documents meet requirements. Renew your passport if you need to. You will be denied entry if you do not have a valid travel document or try to use a passport that has been reported lost or stolen.”

The Government has clarified that the collection of your fingerprints and photos will depend on your ports of arrival and departure. For those setting sail on a cruise, the Government’s website stated: “If you start and finish your cruise outside the Schengen area, for example at a UK port, you’ll normally be exempt from entry/exit checks even if you visit the Schengen area. If you leave the cruise in the Schengen area and travel to another destination, you’ll need to complete entry/exit checks when leaving the ship.”

For those travelling by ferry or Eurostar, the advice said: “If you enter the Schengen area through the Port of Dover, Eurotunnel at Folkestone or St Pancras International, this information will be taken at the border, before you leave the UK. You may also need to provide either your fingerprint or photo when you leave the Schengen area.”

For those travelling for work, there are specific rules: “If you frequently travel to the Schengen area for work and or leisure purposes, you must ensure that your total stay in the Schengen area is no more than 90 days in every 180 days. You must be aware of the penalty and enforcement approach for exceeding the immigration limit in any individual member state you plan to travel to, or through.

Each timeline reveals fresh layers of Dorrigo’s passionate romance with Amy, his uncle’s wife.

The five-part drama explores the “cruelty of war, the tenuousness of life and the impossibility of love” as witnessed by an Australian medic turned prisoner of war.

The opening episode’s synopsis states: “While writing a speech for an upcoming book launch, renowned surgeon and celebrated war hero Dorrigo Evans is thrust back into memories of his time as a POW during World War II and of his brief, unforgettable love affair with Amy Mulvaney.”

Exact date EasyJet customers can bag themselves cheap summer flights

The exact date to get “super cheap” EasyJet flights for next summer has been announced, according to Martin Lewis’ Money Saving Expert, who shared the news to excited travellers on Facebook

Most Brits love heading on a holiday abroad when the summer months come. However, with the ongoing cost of living crisis, many people find they don’t have as much spare cash to spend on breaks away as they used to.

If that’s you, then listen up, as the exact date to get “super cheap” EasyJet flights for next summer has been announced, according to Martin Lewis‘ Money Saving Expert. The MSE Facebook account shared the news in a post with its 412,000 followers recently, and the post quickly went viral as many travel lovers planned to bag their cheap flights.

Sharing the news, MSE wrote: “Heads up! Super cheap EasyJet flights for summer 2026 are landing on Tuesday July 22.

“If previous releases are anything to go by, being online bright and early is the key to bagging a bargain.”

According to the MSE website, Easyjet releases its flights in batches every quarter of the year – and if you discover what day they’re going to be launched and you book them them quickly, you can get a far cheaper price.

It adds: “EasyJet follows a dynamic demand pricing model – in other words, when there’s lots of demand for seats, you pay more; when there’s less demand, you pay less. Usually it can be tricky to predict, and prices are fluid.

“There’s one point when demand is almost always low… the very second seats are released. This happens in several tranches throughout the year. In the past, these seats have shot up in price within two or three hours of being made available, so being online bright and early is the key to bagging a bargain.”

just because the flights have just gone on sale, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re getting the best deal. As MoneySavingExpert.com founder

Martin Lewis himself does warn that just because the flights have only just gone on sale, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re always getting the best deal. He says: “This has been a very successful technique for many people, and indeed if you want certainty of a cheap price it’s worth doing. Do benchmark what a good price on that route is beforehand, just so you can check if it’s worth it.

“Though of course, if a particular flight is very substantially under-booked later on, you could get seats even cheaper then – that’s just far more difficult to predict.”

What time will the flights be released?

Easyjet hasn’t announced when the flights will go on sale. It says that customers looking to book early and get great fares for next summer should keep an eye on the Easyjet website from early in the morning.”

According to MSE, the tickets “tend to go on sale as early as 5am or 6am, but sometimes it hasn’t released seats until 8am, and it could depend on the location.”

Usyk vs Dubois 2: Fight date, ringwalk, UK times, undercard & records

The first encounter between Usyk and Dubois was in Wroclaw, Poland, in August 2023.

It was a fight not many gave Dubois a hope of winning, but he floored the reigning champion in the fifth round.

The referee, though, immediately called a low blow and Usyk was controversially given time to recover. The Ukrainian had the mostly partisan crowd on his side, but Dubois’ team at ringside were furious with the decision.

The call is still being debated and was a major talking point at the announcement news conference.

Once the fight resumed, Usyk quickly went to work, slowly chipping away at Dubois’ energy reserves.

By the eighth round the Briton looked exhausted and frustrated when he tried to fend off a flurry of shots. He hit the canvas, managed to get to his feet, but was then dropped again in the ninth round and couldn’t beat the referee’s count.

Aside from the controversy over the low blow, Usyk was the better fighter with a more controlled display. He landed more shots, 88 to 47, and was the more accurate puncher with 25% landing compared to 16% for his opponent.

But will Dubois target the body more in the rematch to come out on top?

‘Challenging’ BBC drama featuring Adolescence star confirms release date

Unforgivable is a new drama from Time writer Jimmy McGovern and has a stellar cast including Anna Friel and Line of Duty’s Anna Maxwell Martin

The BBC has unveiled the release date for a chilling new drama featuring a young actor from Adolescence and a star from Line of Duty.

Unforgivable is a gripping original drama penned by Time’s scriptwriter Jimmy McGovern, and much like the Sean Bean and Stephen Graham led series Time, it’s set within and revolves around the UK prison system.

The plot centres on the fictional Mitchell family, who are left grappling with the devastating aftermath of an act of abuse committed by one of their own.

After serving two years of his prison sentence, Joe (portrayed by Bobby Schofield) finds himself in an institution that provides him with a home and rehabilitation post-release.

He embarks on therapy sessions in an attempt to comprehend what drove him to commit such a horrific crime, and to confront the repercussions of his actions, reports the Liverpool Echo.

The recently released trailer by the BBC depicts Joe adjusting to life after prison, while his family continue to question the reasons behind his abusive behaviour.

His sister Anne (played by Emmy-award winner Anna Friel) is coping with the impact his crime has had on her family, including her sons Tom (Adolescence actor Austin Haynes) and Peter (Fin McParland), whilst her father Brian (David Threlfall) is livid at the idea of her having been in contact with Joe.

Meanwhile, Line of Duty actress Anna Maxwell Martin portrays a former nun who provides Joe with therapy at the institution as part of his rehabilitation.

The upcoming drama Unforgivable has created quite a buzz with the BBC hinting that it’s all about the widespread impact of abuse and the struggle to move beyond its devastation.

“The drama examines the extensive ripple effect of abuse from multiple perspectives and how those involved can try to move forwards in the midst of the devastation,” the corporation teased ahead of the show’s anticipated release.

It has now been confirmed that Unforgivable will debut in full on BBC iPlayer at 6am on Thursday 24th July, with the episode airing later that day on BBC Two.

Reacting to the newly-published trailer, as it was shared by Marcella actress Anna on Instagram, one fan wrote: “Can’t wait – looks so good.”

Another posted: “Ohhhhhhhh wow – I feel a binge watch coming up!!!!!!”

“Gonna be seated to watch this religiously. Congrats on your new project,” a third said.

“It’s McGovern so looks so gripping already, thanks for sharing,” someone else wrote.

Set against the backdrop of Liverpool, where it was filmed, the cast is further bolstered with Mark Womack, Paddy Rowan, and Phina Oruche taking up pivotal supporting roles.

Lindsay Salt, Director of BBC Drama, previously shared an insight into what viewers can expect from the drama, saying: “Jimmy McGovern is one of our greatest dramatists, and a master at writing about today’s world.

“His new film sensitively examines the pain of abuse and how it affects not only the victim but ripples out across the whole family. To see it brought to the screen with such a high calibre cast and creative team is further testament to the quality of Jimmy’s writing.”

Writer Jimmy McGovern also said: “I can’t believe the cast and crew that have been assembled for this production. It’s a challenging film, yes, but I can’t wait for it to be shown.”

Colin McKeown, executive producer for LA Productions added: “This is a profoundly challenging and sensitive subject, tackled with intelligence and care by Jimmy McGovern. It’s a privilege to be working with him again following the success of our previous collaborations on single dramas: Common, Care, Reg and Anthony.”

Unforgivable will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer at 6am on Thursday 24th July, and air on BBC Two at 9pm that evening.

‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’: Cast, release date, who’s back, who’s not

A sequel? For spring? Groundbreaking.

After 19 years and some mixed messages from the cast, “The Devil Wears Prada 2” is officially in production and set to hit theaters in May.

The original film, based on the 2003 bestselling novel by Lauren Weisberger, is set in the cutthroat New York City fashion industry. Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming sequel.

Who‘s returning from the original cast?

Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci will be reprising their roles for the highly anticipated sequel.

Joining the stars onscreen will be Tracie Thoms — who played Lily, the best friend of Anne Hathaway’s character, Andy Sachs — and Tibor Feldman, who is reprising his role as Irv Ravitz, chairman of Runway’s parent company, Elias-Clarke.

Director David Frankel, who led the first film to a $326 million worldwide box office haul, will be returning, as will screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna (co-creator of “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”).

Who isn’t returning?

Adrian Grenier’s Nate Cooper, Andy’s boyfriend who’s since been dubbed by the internet as the “real villain” of the film, reportedly won’t be back for the sequel.

Who’s joining the cast?

Kenneth Branagh will join the cast to play the husband of Streep’s character, Miranda Priestly. Other notable additions include actors Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B. J. Novak and Pauline Chalamet.

What‘s “Devil Wears Prada 2” about?

While plot details are being kept under wraps, the movie reportedly follows Streep’s Miranda as she navigates a floundering magazine publishing industry. and reunites with Blunt’s character, Emily Charlton, who is now a high-powered executive. The movie is set nearly 10 years after the original and may also borrow from the book’s 2013 sequel, “Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns.” Let’s hope there’s a nod to Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, the inspiration for Miranda’s character, stepping down from her post.

What’s the release date for the sequel?

Disney’s 20th Century Studios announced the start of production with a stylish teaser on June 30. The movie will open in theaters May 1, giving fans plenty of time to get ready.

If you’re itching for a refresh, you can stream the original “The Devil Wears Prada” on Disney+ and Hulu. The movie is also available to rent on Prime Video.

Tour de France 2025: Start date, route, stage guide and results

Tadej Pogacar (centre) is aiming to win his fourth Tour de France

The 112th edition of the Tour de France gets under way in Lille on Saturday with the three-week race ending on the Champs-Elysees in Paris on Sunday, 27 July.

The riders will tackle six mountain stages including trips to the Pyrenees and Alps during the gruelling 3,320km (2,063-mile) race.

There will also be two individual time trials, with the second featuring the steep climb up to the Altiport in Peyragudes.

BBC Sport looks at all 21 stages of La Grande Boucle analysing where it could be won and lost.

This page will be updated throughout the Tour with the winner and a brief report following each stage.

Jasper Philipsen became the first sprinter to claim the yellow jersey on the opening day since 2020

Winner: Jasper Philipsen

Report: Philipsen wins stage one to claim first yellow jersey

Jasper Philipsen was the first rider to wear the yellow jersey this year – claiming the maillot jaune for the first time in his career.

A sprint finish was expected after a flat stage beginning and ending in Lille, and Alpecin-Deceuninck’s lead-out train delivered the 27-year-old in the perfect position to claim his 10th stage win.

Crosswinds contributed to a chaotic opening day, which saw the peloton split about 17km from the finish, with most of Philipsen’s team-mates in the lead group.

Sunday, 6 July – stage two: Lauwin-Planque – Boulogne-sur-Mer, 209.1km

Mathieu van der Poel won his second ever stage at the Tour de France

Winner: Mathieu van der Poel

Report: Van der Poel pips Pogacar in stage two sprint finish

Mathieu van der Poel edges out Tadej Pogacar in a sprint finish to win stage two of the Tour de France and claim the leader’s yellow jersey.

The Dutch rider, who also won the same stage in 2021, holds off the three-time Tour champion on the line after surging to the front with 500 metres to go on the longest stage in this year’s race, a rolling 209.1km route from Lauwin-Planque to Boulogne-sur-Mer.

Monday, 7 July – stage three: Valenciennes – Dunkirk, 178.3km

Stage three profileImage source, ASO
Image caption,

Dunkirk hosted the Grand Depart in 2001

This should be another good chance for the Tour’s fast men to shine.

However, a late cobbled climb to Cassel and the potential for crosswinds and echelons to form in the final 35km could spoil their day.

Tuesday, 8 July – stage four: Amiens Metropole -Rouen, 174.2km

Stage four profileImage source, ASO
Image caption,

Jules Verne wrote Around the World in 80 Days in Amiens

Both Amiens and Rouen have been the preserve of sprinters in previous editions of the Tour but that will not be the case this time around.

The trip into Normandy comes with a relentless up-and-down stretch in the final 50km where explosive climbing and skilful descending will likely come to the fore and allow the specialists over that terrain to target victory.

Wednesday, 9 July – stage five: Caen – Caen, 33km

Stage five profileImage source, ASO
Image caption,

Caen is also known as ‘the city of a hundred bell towers’

The first of two individual time trials arrives on wide and completely flat roads of Caen.

The strongest rouleurs should be in their element on a stage designed for time-trial specialists like Remco Evenepoel.

Thursday 10 July – stage six: Bayeux – Vire Normandie, 201.5 km

Stage six profileImage source, ASO
Image caption,

This is the sixth time Vire will have featured on the Tour de France route

Six categorised climbs and more than 3,400m of vertical gain mean this is regarded as the most challenging flat stage in the Tour’s recent history.

A difficult day in the saddle concludes with a 700m-long 10% ascent to the finish line.

Friday, 11 July – stage seven: Saint-Malo – Mur-de-Bretagne Guerledan, 197 km

Stage seven profileImage source, ASO
Image caption,

Mathieu van der Poel won his first Tour stage on the Mur-de-Bretagne in 2021

The race passes through the home village of five-time winner Bernard Hinault during a relatively tame opening 175km of stage seven.

However, expect bedlam as the finishing line approaches with a closing circuit that mirrors the 2021 stage.

The Mur-de-Bretagne, which ramps up above 10% features twice and explosiveness and tactical nous will determine how things play out.

Saturday, 12 July – stage eight: Saint-Meen-le-Grand – Laval Espace Mayenne, 171.4 km

Stage eight profileImage source, ASO
Image caption,

Laval is the birthplace of three-time Tour stage winner Jacky Durand

A largely flat stage with an occasional gentle rise plus a relatively straight final three kilometres in towards the finishing line marks this as a day for the sprinters.

Sunday, 13 July – stage nine: Chinon – Chateauroux, 174.1km

Stage nine profileImage source, ASO
Image caption,

Mark Cavendish won three of his 35 stages in Chateauroux

When you think of Chateauroux one rider immediately springs to mind – Mark Cavendish.

The first of the Manx Missile’s record 35 stage wins arrived in the city in 2008 and he repeated that success on the Avenue de la Chatre in 2011 and 2021.

And with a relatively simple parcours a bunch sprint will almost certainly be on the menu when the peloton embarks from the historic town of Chinon which is known for its wine.

Monday, 14 July – stage 10: Ennezat – Le Mont-Dore Puy de Sancy, 165.3 km

Stage 10 profileImage source, ASO
Image caption,

The last French rider to win on Bastille Day was Warren Barguil in 2017

While the 4,400m of elevation gain across seven category-two climbs and a category-three ascent is likely to put the sprinters in trouble almost from the start, the general classification contenders are likely to keep their powder dry on a stage that looks made for the breakaway specialists.

There will likely be a strong posse of home riders trying to get in any group heading up the road with the objective of becoming the first French stage winner on Bastille Day since Warren Barguil in 2017.

The first trip into the mountains should provide a decent shake up of the GC standings although it unlikely to cause any of the main favourites issues.

Wednesday, 16 July – stage 11: Toulouse – Toulouse, 156.8km

Stage 11 profileImage source, ASO
Image caption,

Caleb Ewan won the stage last time the Tour visited Toulouse in 2019

Following a rest day, stage 11 offers a gentle return to racing although the concluding 16km contains two kickers that could alter the composition of any fast finish to the line on Boulevard Lascrosses.

Thursday, 17 July – stage 12: Auch – Hautacam, 180.6km

Stage 12 profileImage source, ASO
Image caption,

Six stage finishes have taken place at Hautacam

The first real big day in the mountains could see fireworks in the GC race.

The route up to the ski resort at Hautacam on the roads above Lourdes takes the peloton on the route where five-time champion Miguel Indurain tore the race (and his rivals) apart in 1994.

More recently, Jonas Vingegaard rode away from Tadej Pogacar in 2022 on his way to his first overall Tour victory.

Friday, 18 July – stage 13: Loudenvielle – Peyragudes 10.9km

Stage 13 profileImage source, ASO
Image caption,

The airport runway in Peyragudes was used in a scene in the James Bond movie Tomorrow Never Dies

An individual time trial takes the riders from the valley floor up to the runway of Altiport 007 in Peyragudes.

After a flat start, there will be over 8km uphill and no hiding place for the GC favourites in the race of truth.

A gradient of 7.8% ramps up to a punishing 13% in the final kilometre and it could provide a strong indicator of who will be wearing the yellow jersey in Paris.

Saturday, 19 July – stage 14: Pau – Luchon-Superbagneres, 182.6 km

Stage 14 profileImage source, ASO
Image caption,

Superbagneres hasn’t hosted the Tour for 36 years

A classic and mouth-watering mountain stage in the Pyrenees arrives at the end of week two.

Nearly 5,000m of elevation gain is packed into climbs up the mighty hors-categorie Tourmalet followed by the Col d’Aspin and Col de Peyresourde.

On a day when the GC riders will be need to be at their very best, the strongest climbers will have their focus on the fight for the King of the Mountains jersey and hope to contest the stage on the pull up to the ski resort of Luchon-Superbagneres.

The gruelling 12.4km slog at 7.3%, which rises up to 10% in a couple of sections, should be the scene for an epic battle in the race for yellow.

Sunday, 20 July – stage 15: Muret – Carcassonne 169.3km

Stage 15 profileImage source, ASO
Image caption,

Jasper Philipsen won the first of his eight Tour stage victories in Carcassonne in 2022

A transitional stage arrives as the race heads from the Pyrenees towards the Alps, which looks suited to the strongman sprinters who can cope with some climbing.

The likes of Wout van Aert and Biniam Girmay should view this a potential chance triumph in the medieval finishing town of Carcassonne.

Tuesday, 22 July – stage 16: Montpellier – Mont Ventoux, 171.5km

Stage 16 profileImage source, ASO
Image caption,

Chris Froome is the only British rider to have won a stage on Mont Ventoux in the Tour de France

Stage 16 is a flat route until one of the most legendary mountains in Tour history comes into view at the end with the potential to turn the race on its head.

With no categorised climbs all day before Mont Ventoux, and the intermediate sprint featuring 112km into the stage, it would be no surprise if the peloton remains largely intact until then.

In 2016, strong winds meant the finish was moved to Chalet Reynard halfway up the climb as Thomas de Gendt won from the breakaway and drama unfolded on the slopes behind with the yellow jersey, Chris Froome, initially running up the mountain after a crash.

Wednesday, 23 July – stage 17: Bollene – Valence, 160.4km

Stage 17 profileImage source, ASO
Image caption,

The Tour is stopping in Valence for the fourth time in 10 years

With two big Alpine tests still to come the GC teams will probably play second fiddle to the sprint teams when it comes to trying to rein in any breakaways.

The last three winners of a Tour stage in Valence were Mark Cavendish (2021), Peter Sagan (2018), and Andre Greipel (2015) and the only thing likely to prevent a bunch sprint is the mistral winds that can be fierce in the Rhone Valley.

Thursday, 24 July – stage 18: Vif – Courchevel Col de la Loze, 171.5km

This year’s queen stage comes with more than 5,500m of elevation across 171.5km of racing and three legendary climbs which makes it arguably the toughest run of the entire Tour.

All three ascents fall under the hors categorie, with the Col du Glandon, a 21.7km drag with with sections at double digits just for starters.

The Col de la Madeleine, is shorter but steeper and the while there is a rapid descent and the rises in the road come sharply again on the monstrous Col de la Loze, a climb of over 26km with gradients hitting 11% as the Tour reaches it’s highest point.

Friday, 25 July – stage 19: Albertville – La Plagne, 129.9km

The last real mountain stage represents the final opportunity for those high in the GC standings to make a play for the yellow jersey.

The route from Albertville to La Plagne covers almost 130km, and includes five leg-sapping ascents.

Plenty of points will be up for grabs again in the race for the the polka-dot jersey points available but this is really a last-chance saloon in terms of the overall race.

Whoever is leading at end of the day will be confident, that barring an unforseen disaster, they will be stood atop the podium, draped in yellow on the Champs-Elysees.

Saturday, 26 July, – stage 20: Nantua – Pontarlier, 184.2km

The penultimate stage sees the race snake over the hills of the Jura towards Pontarlier.

The rolling terrain should favour an escapee triumphing, while the GC teams protect their leaders.

Sunday, 27 July, – stage 21: Mantes-la-Ville – Paris Champs-Elysees, 132.3km

The Tour will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of its first finish on the Champs-Elysees

The Tour returns to it’s traditional Paris finish after relocating to Nice last year due to the Olympics.

However, it does so with a twist, given the cobbled climb up to the Sacre-Cœur Basilica features three times in a throwback to the road race in the 2024 Paris Games.

It’s a 1,1km ascent at a gradient of 5.9% added to the original finishing circuit in the French capital designed to whittle down the field before a high-speed finish albeit possibly without some of the pure sprinters.

‘I brought my husband to a date with another woman on TV and this is how it went’

Emily, Sophie and Ricki made history on Channel 4’s First Dates.

A throuple on First Dates has reflected on making history on the Channel 4 programme.

The reality series has seen plenty of hopefuls come and go through the First Dates restaurant doors, greeted by I’m A Celebrity star and maître d’ Fred Sirieix and barman Merlin Griffiths.

But in tonight’s programme, launching the new series, one woman was surprised to hear that she was being set up with not one but two people.

Mum-of-three Sophie had never dated a woman before and was hoping to find someone alternative, authentic and open-minded, which her date with Emily certainly was.

The pair hit it off quickly, with Sophie overcoming her nerves to finally reveal to Emily that she was married, and her husband Ricki was sitting at the bar, waiting to join them.

The couple, who have been together for 10 years and wed in 2018, were looking to open up their marriage and find someone to join them.

“We were curious to explore new connections together, and thought, why not? It felt like the right time to do something bold and go for it,” Sophie later told The Mirror in an exclusive interview.

“It was exciting but nerve-wracking at the same time.”

She and Ricki had considered opening their relationship up two years after meeting and once attempted a “lifestyle club” where they were welcomed with “open arms,” but now they wanted to take things further.

“We’ve always been very private, and never really spoken to other people about our relationship and never had the chance to open it up. We’ve had a couple of experiences with friends but nothing has ever developed from that,” she said.

Two years ago, Sophie told Ricki she was bisexual, and wanted to potentially explore that, which he was open to. Having not found the right person to date, First Dates became their first encounter with another person.

“I was quite nervous walking in, I feel like the idea of having a blind date – especially when you haven’t dated for a long time – was very nerve-wracking to me. But as soon as I walked in, I felt really welcomed and those nerves went away fairly quickly,” she recalled.

Ricki, meanwhile, wasn’t “too nervous” but just excited and hopeful after failing to find what they were looking for on dating apps. “There aren’t many dating apps for couples looking for singles,” he said. “And if there are, it’s purely (within our experiences) just for sexual encounters, and that’s not what we were looking for.”

Both Sophie and Ricki appeared to instantly connect with Emily, who also shared her “amazing” experience in an interview.

She said: “It was an exciting opportunity, and obviously, for me, I didn’t know what I was going into in terms of who the date was going to be. I’m very pansexual, I’ve dated all the genders, all the colours of the rainbow, and I didn’t know if it was going to be a guy or a girl, someone in between, or a couple because I definitely expressed that was an interest of mine as well. The way the date played out was amazing.”

Like Ricki, Emily hadn’t had success on dating apps and wanted to try First Dates to meet new people.

“I love dating and I love meeting new people, I think meeting new people is the meaning of life to be honest, making new connections, and so I thought what a fun and interesting way to meet some cool people,” she said.

The massage therapist went on: “I’ve dated couples before and really enjoyed it in the past, [but] it’s quite hard to find the right dynamic. Obviously dating is hard enough just trying to find two people that match, so to find a dynamic where all three people are all compatible is harder sometimes.”

As soon as Emily saw Sophie, she felt “really happy” and a “wave of relief,” confessing, “I had a huge crush on Sophie.”

While Ricki wasn’t necessarily her usual type, Emily admitted that within five minutes of meeting him, she could feel his “warmth and humour”.

She added, “We all got on really well, and to be honest, energy and personality tend to be the driver of who I end up with.”

Despite not initially being aware that she would be dating both Sophie and Ricki, Emily shared that she wasn’t “shocked” but rather “nicely surprised.”

“I would have been very happy with just dating Sophie alone, but it was a nice little surprise for me; I wasn’t worried at all,” she said.

Emily, Sophie, and Ricki not only found luck with their dates, but they also all shared how proud they are to have been a part of an empowering message on First Dates.

“I feel really honoured that I was part of First Dates’ first three-way date because it hasn’t been done before and I think it does break down a lot of stigma,” Emily, who has previously appeared on Channel 4’s Open House: The Great Sex Experiment, said.

“With Open House, it’s all very raunchy and risky and a lot of things go wrong but with First Dates I hope it comes across that for me, it was really amazing, we had a great connection, and actually these things aren’t really taboo at all.

“It’s just three people who really get along, having a nice time. And I think that people make it a lot deeper than it needs to be, it’s really just not that deep.”

Sophie also said: “I really like the fact that we’ve had this opportunity to be able to be the first people to do it, it’s exciting for us, we love that. Hopefully it does provide an empowering message to other couples that may be wanting to explore those sorts of connections too.”

First Dates airs Fridays at 10pm on Channel 4.

Blind Date reboot set for huge return with Love Island inspired twist

Iconic dating show Blind Date is set for another reboot with it said to be getting a Love Island-style twist when it airs on Disney+

One of the most iconic gameshows is set to return to our screens, but with a twist. Fans of eighties television will be buzzing at the news that Blind Date is set for a reboot.

The dating show which was hosted by Cilla Black is set for a revival. However, instead of its previous ITV home, the show is set to appear on Disney+.

And in a dramatic twist, the show will see contestants spend time on a tropical island as hopefuls compete for a dream wedding on the golden sands. An insider claims the show will have “hints of Love Island about it”.

Talking to the Sun, the source said it’s a “radical departure” from the old style Blind Date. They told the publication: “But fans will recall a lot of the dates took place in hot, sunny climes abroad, and producers want to recapture some of the steamy fun, and expand upon that.

“Even the wedding element has hints of the old show, because the dream was always that the dates on the programme would lead to couples tying the knot.”

And they added that not all of the old characteristics will be eliminated, with plans still set to incorporate the show’s famous sliding wall. The source went on to say the show’s producers hope to “hire a top female host just like Cilla”.

It’s said a star-studded line-up of female hosts are being eyed up to step into Cilla’s shoes. Among those being rumoured are Holly Willoughby, Davina McCall and The Traitors‘ Claudia Winkleman.

It’s unknown whether the show will provide a replacement for voiceover Graham Skidmore, aka ‘Our Graham’.

The show’s return was speculated earlier this month, 22 years after it last aired. The ITV show originally aired on Saturday nights from 1985-2003. At the time, saw hundreds of couples meet for the first time looking for love.

Like most dating shows, many didn’t last past the studio doors, however a number of couples did make it all the way to the alter.

Any reboot won’t be the first time the show has been revived. Most recently, in 2017, the show made its return on Channel 5. It came two years after the death of original host Cilla Black – with Paul O’Grady replacing the late host.

Melanie Sykes also joined the show as a replacement for ‘Our Graham’ providing the iconic voiceover. The show ran for four series until June 2019. Original voiceover Graham died in 2021 at age 90, seven years after the death of host Cilla Black in 2015.
