Two of the victims were juveniles, but it’s unclear if they were among those killed, The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Police said a suspect is in custody and confirmed that they arrested a man wearing a ballistic vest, but it’s unclear if this is the shooter.

Officials also recovered a rifle and handgun that was disposed of in an alleyway.

The suspect was reportedly taken into custody just before 8.40pm, shortly after the incident.

Several victims were reportedly taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital and a juvenile to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Police said one of the victims who died is believed to have been a teenager, abc6 reports.

Philadelphia police told The U.S. Sun that they could not confirm the conditions of the victims at this time.

Officials took the suspect in without firing any shots of their own, according to reports.

Police are still investigating and have closed off 56th Street between Kingsessing and Chester Avenues.

Video taken at the scene show lights flashing on multiple cop cars that are pulled together to create a barrier.
